 This is a journal for Mahii to use as she coaxes her Fenthry out of its feather and has lots of fun adventures with it. Please don't post here unless Mahii has given you permission! Younaei The feather is suddenly pulled up into the air by some unseen force, thrown toward the ceiling in a narror arc. As it reaches the highest point of its jump, the feather begins to spin before descending rapidly back toward the ground. A bright flash lights the room, and as it fades, the form of a four-inch tall child can be seen through the afterglow. Her violet fur shines like amethyst in the light, and her small yellow wings resemble sunshine.

  My Fenthry still in her feather before naming her. Lumin's suggestion has been Younaei, so he can call her yoyo. I've agreed and I'm trying to find Louhi to tell her this.  Younaei after she emerged from her feather! She's more than I could have ever asked for. She can't talk well yet, but can say "Lumi" which Lumin takes as her saying his name. She seems to use physical motions to make up for her verbal lacking and has a very curious nature.

 Well. I had been seeing the Fenthry Shop sign for a few days when finally I decided to go in and check it out. While in there I saw the most amazing creatures! The Fenthry are little and come out of feathers. I was amazed. 4 feathers were in the glass case and two of them caught my eye. The pink one with the scorpion on it and the purple one. A few people had already asked about the pink feather and so I inquired about the purple one and I was told I could buy her! I was so excited.
Now I have my little Fenthry feather and I'm keeping a careful watch over her until I can finally meet the little one.Here's a little bit about Younaei. More will be added as she meets new Fen and experiences new things. Name: Younaei. Nickname: Yoyo. (given to her by Lumin before she was born) Body Color: Purple. Hair Color: Med Purple. Wing Color: Yellow Heart Color: Yellow Gender: Female Likes ------ Lumin, her 'brother'. Kurenai's ribbon her own yellow ribbon "scarf" meeting other fen Kagei**** a lot. kagu, the plushie penguin from Kagei Maa, the sheep plushie from Kagei Motorcycles Dislikes ------ salmiakki..but she'll never admit it to Karju.   this is the pouch I've been carrying my Fenthry around in on my wrist. D-Chan has given Yoyo a Yellow ribbon much like Kurenai's green one. yoyo has decided to wear it around her neck, ala Cyborg 009.Kagei and May left a large penguin plushie for Yoyo. It's her new favorite plush and she named it Kagu.

July 2, 2004 22:34pst.
This is my first journal entry after getting my fenthry feather to care for. She's a beautiful purple feather with a medium purple band and yellow highlighting. I keep her in a soft pouch that was actually living under my dresser..I believe for a long time. It's doe-colored with these beads all over it and Younaei(that's what I'm naming my fen) fits perfectly into it.
She tried to escape the pouch unintentionally last night. Scared the crap out of me. I was climbing the stairs to my tower in the lilt castle and she almost fell out of the thing. I managed to catch her, nearly dumping my lilt, Lumin in the process. Younaei seemed completely ruffled and I had to smooth her out before continuing up the stairs.
It's been a quiet few days, loitering around the shop, making sure Yo's safe, keeping Lumin from stealing her and introducing her to the rest of the family. They all had different opinions. That's for sure. I can't wait for this little one to trust me enough to come out and say hello for the first time.
It's getting late. I should go to bed.

Younaei emerged from her feather today! I came back from a trip to the Dream Realm, leaving her in the good care of her overprotective big brother, Lumin and when I got back he was chattering away at the little purple Fen with yellow wings. I nearly fell over.
I called to Lumin and asked when Yoyo had emerged and he said, "about an hour ago." I believe that he had started talking to her from the get-go and hadn't stopped until I came in. She fluttered up to my outstretched hands and gave my hand a hug and Lumin hopped over to my shoulder. She climbed up there with him and now they both ride on my left shoulder when I go places. Between them and Lia on my right..I'm running out of shoulder space. Thankfully I don't have any other shoulder-sitting family.
I asked her if she wanted to go to the Society and she nodded. She understands most of what I say, but hasn't really learned how to speak yet.
At the Society Lumin talked her to a point where she said "Lumi." it was her first word and made her new brother very excited. He'd gone back to the castle and Yoyo and I were just hanging out when she spotted another Fenthry. It was Kagei with BunnyMayCry. She went over to him and he taught her how to say "hello" and "kagei". She hugged him a couple times and he gave her something pocky-like. I think the meeting went well.
Well. Once again it's late so I must be signing off.

Emo-The-Pirate One evening, a neatly wrapped package arives on your doorstep from May and Kagei. It has bright purple wrapping paper and a big yellow bow. There is a tag on the front with the following written on it:

last night yoyo met another Fenthry. Her name was Kurenai and she and Yoyo played a fen game of tag. Kurenai's human gave Yo a yellow ribbon to wear around her neck. I think they got along well.
I got home late last night and we found an adorable little plush penguin that Kagei had left for Yoyo. She hasn't let it out of her sight. She brought it into her little bed last night and has named it Kagu. I find it really cute. She learned a new word yesterday, "Play" from Kurenai.
I'd write more, but I have a lot to do. More later.

today I took Yoyo to Japantown. I was meeting with a group of people that are this comicbook art group called BAAU and we hung out. At first it was just Yo and I, but then our friend showed up and showed her how he drew these AMAZING pictures. Once everyone showed up we all chatted and drew pictures. I had artist block..of course. But then a small group broke off and went to go get ramen in the ramen restuarant. I had the corn and veggie ramen and I discovered that Younaei really seems to enjoy corn. A little random, but good.
After we went back to the main group my friend got crepes and Yo practically drowned herself in whipped cream. it was so cute! She was a little sugar-covered santa, complete with white beard until she licked it off.
the hanging out resumed and then we all went to see Spiderman. Yoyo really liked watching him fly around with his web, but she got scared when Doc Ock. appeared out of nowhere and she flew, squeaking into my jacket pocket for a bit. Yo seems to be a closet romantic as well and was leaning closer to the film as Peter and MJ were talking near the end.
then we came home and she's been sleeping ever since. It's been a big day for the little Fen.
I should get some sleep as well.

today. Good day. I took Younaei with me to summer school for the first time. I think she really enjoyed my short story class. She was jumping across the keys on the computer so much that i had to pick up the keyboard and type with it balanced on my knee. Of course then she started pestering my friend in that class, asking about his story. He hates describing his stories to people. Then, after that we had break and Yoyo giggled when my other friend had his crotch grabbed. I covered her eyes a minute too late. -sighs-
She fell asleep in the science class. Whether or not short story wore her out, science was just boring, or the teacher's droning put her to sleep, I couldn't say.
After school we headed home, Yoyo riding on my shoulder bag, poking at my arm just for fun. I climbed the stairs to my room and Lumin pounced her, showing her a book he made for her. She's been really into these little books. It wasn't really good for reading, but You's happy to have that one. She's been looking at Lumin's pictures all night. Lumin's been teaching her new words. She's starting to get into sentences. Small ones like, "I love brother Lumin." So adorable.
We've decided to stop by the Fen Society tonight all together. You wants to show off i think. But she'd never admit to that.

Emo-The-Pirate May knocked quietly on Mahii's door, letting it swing open. SHe carefully walked inside, standing in front of the door. SHe called out to Mahii, Kagei had wanted to see YoYo again and was missing his friend terribly. "Mahii?" said May, waiting for a reply.
Kagei jumped from May's shoulder, fluttering excitedly around her head. He squeaked a few times, not hearing any responce, and looked aorund. "YoYo!?" he called, tail twitching a bit in anticipation.
Maine poked his head from May's pocket, curious about this YoYo person, but bieng such a withdrawn little grump he stayed within May's pocket with a dark smirk.
Kagei was a bit embarrased about his growth spirt, but hoped YoYo would recognise him...
