This is a journal for Arrikanez to use as he coaxes his Fenthry out of its feather and has lots of fun adventures with it.

Please don't post here unless Arri has given you permission!

Atae
The little blue feather suddenly flies up into the air, spinning slowly as it makes its way upward. It pauses just over Arrikanez's head before dropping back toward the desk. Perhaps it didn't get enough height, because the magical light engulfs it as its shaft touches the papers, singing those papers at the top of the pile. A small blue fenthry sits on the papers as the flash fades. The white spots on his coat resemble patches of ice on the ocean.

This is Arrikanez. Arri is the feather's guardian, and Prolixity's husband. Arri is a Chaos God of the planet Juridia, who came to Gaia to escape his "boss" - Eriot, the God of Order/Light. To this DAY he hates the man. Arri appears around 18ish, and is happily spending his days with Prolixity, and the rest of his family.

This is Prox. Prox is Arri's husband, friend, and confidante. They share everything, and leave no secrets. Prox resides in Gaia with his Fa'e Anen, and his Fenthry Ieta, running the Dream shop along with just living his life.

Anen is a Fa'e, that Prox was gifted by the Lifeweaver, Anya. He is of the spider type, and is now a child, soon to be a teenager. He resides with Prox and Arri, stepping out to HQ often to visit the other Fa'e.

Orca is a Blooded that has a taste for the emotion Contentment. He thinks of all others but his family as "pets", and has to be refrained from taking small children home with him because they're ~cute~. He has a strong love FOR his family, and is viscious to anyone hurting them.

I used to have a lava lamp as a nightlight when I was a lot younger. I thought my Fenthry might like the same. And it even matches his color, sort of.

I was suprised a couple of days ago. Pleasently suprised, but suprised nonetheless. Prox simply spoke to me, and told me to head into the Fenthry shop. I did so - as I trust him - and wound up taking home a tealish feather with what appears to be a couple of leopard spots on it, and a white/silver stripe. I was in shock for a good hour or two, just sitting and stroking the feather.
I feel oddly possessive towards it... and even though I have Orca... something's different about this one. Something's special. I can't place it as of yet.
All I know about the feather is that he's a HE, and he has an affinity for ink. He hasn't even emerged yet, and he's already been in the ink.
He "jumped"? from behind my ear, and landed in the ink. I'm glad I got it all off of him before it set in. However, my desk is ruined.
Ahh well. There are and were sacrifices to be made - and I understood that. I can get a new desk. I CAN'T get a new feather. And I have a feeling being covered in ink is unhealthy for them.

Well, it happened when I was with Prox. That's all I can say. A flash of white light on my desk, a flutter of papers, and Atae was born. And news upon news, he was born blind. Not that I mind. There's just going to be some things I and he both have to adjust to. The lava-lamp I bought him is absolutely USELESS now... but that's alright, because Ieta likes it, and -I- like it. I've made him his own little bed on the dresser next to mine, and I put him up there when he gets tired. He's tired a LOT for some reason. I wonder if he's sick... if he is, what the heck do I give him? Ieta helped him around when he came out, so he's learning to walk from him. I just hope I'm cut out for this...

I figured out what was wrong with my little Fen. Why he was so tired all the time, and didn't want to move. It was because he was being sapped of his energy by a predator from Dream - which Prox drove off, and I am very grateful for. I don't want to think about the brief time when Atae wasn't breathing... it hurts too much. But right now, he's laying on his pillow, sound asleep after a game of hide and seek. Peaceful. I'm happy I have him. I love him. He's my son now, just as Orca is.

I finally got back from my little "meeting" - only to find Atae had both leaned to fly, and broken his leg at the same time. Nasty break, too. It's in a cast right now, and he's not too thrilled about THAT. I've got another meeting to attend, so I'm asking Prox to take care of him while I'm gone. I really DON'T want to leave him.. but there are some things that just aren't safe. And a meeting with the rest of the Juridian gods is definately one of them.

More and more and MORE meetings. I think Eriot's finally come to decide that I'm a threat. So he's keeping me so damned BUSY that I can't think of a way to backstab him. One of these days, I'm just NOT going to go. I barely have time to write this between times. And I'm so tired all I want to do is just lay down, and pass out. But I can't. Atae I haven't seen much of. His leg's healing nicely though, and Orca's been tending him well. Damn, I need to get some sleep.... Oh well... off to another meeting...

I feel HORRIBLE. I've been leaving Atae in Orca's care more and more often as these "meetings" are becoming taxing. I left the last one with a total of no more than five broken ribs, and a dozen bruises. Hiding it from Prox, so far, has worked. He hasn't mentioned anything. But I think I'm going to have to reetaliate next time - and that WILL land me in jail. I just hope Prox and Orca understand. Not to mention Atae...

I've just gotten home from another meeting of the minds of the Juridian gods.. It's getting taxing. I was so tired today that I just collapsed into bed for a nap, until Prox came home. I woke up QUICK after that happened. It wasn't exactly like I expected him to be gone when I came home in the first place - but I'd been really worried. As we were going back into our room to.. err.... *ahem* "re-acquaint"... the kids were under the bed. All three of them. Orca, Anen, and Atae. What they were DOING under there, not even -I- know. Orca gave the explanation that Atae had gotten lost, and had been sick, so they went looking for him, and found him under the bed. I wasn't exactly inclined to believe him about the first part, but Atae IS a little sick. Prox is looking into it. I wish I could help... but... Not my domain...

Why did this have to happen? Arri has been ill and stressed and overworked, on top of his health, for nearly a month now. I should have gone to confront that damned Eriot some time ago, before it could come to such a pass ... Arri has fallen into a coma. I can't bring him out of it. The only thing left for me to do right now is to care for him, and to complete the spells.

Atae is very distressed. I don't blame him. His human won't wake up. He spends as much time as he can nearby. Maybe it will help.

I'm exhausted and heartsick. How long?

After finally waking up, I'm able to care for Atae again. Orca, Prox, and Anen were doing so for me, but now that I'm able again... I get to do the caretaking! We have a new member of our family - Eriot. I hated him - or I thought I did. Turns out it was love. And he loves Prox too. As well as me... I was a fool to think he hated me. Without Chaos, Light cannot exist...

My mate and I have decided to try for an appointment in the GMFC. Atae seems amiable to the idea, and I'm sure whatever ends up happening he'll be just fine with. It's all a matter of whether or not we are awarded the appointment.... It's something we've wanted for a very long time, and all of our children seem to understand this. Even Eriot's been supportive, if vaguely jealous. I don't really blame him - he's a new addition, and while I love him very much... he hasn't been around long enough. In other news, Atae and Orca seem to be very close to one another, preferring to be together rather than seperated. It's an odd mixture to be sure, but Orca so far hasn't hurt Atae at all.
