Fenthry   This is a journal for PirateElf to use as she coaxes her Fenthry out of its feather and has lots of fun adventures with it. Please don't post here unless Pirate has given you permission! Rioko It looks like all the excitement of getting a new sister, not to mention all the interaction with other fenthries, have done a lot for Rioko. He's grown up! The violet-gray fenthry now stands at almost seven inches in height, and it seems he's becoming quite close to some of the other fenthries he meets regularly at the shop. Sakura The dark feather wrenches away from PirateElf's hands, flying up toward the sky before spiraling rapidly toward the ground. There is a bright flash and a night black fenthry tumbles gently out of the air. There is a band of creamy white on each upper arm, giving her the appearance of wearing long black gloves. (Fenthry Owners ^^)Since I have no room anywhere esle...I'm going to also put a list of Fenthry Rioko and Sakura have met.//: Rioko has metKurenai ~ They aren't together anymore... Rioko changed, and Kurenai doesn't like the new him; so she left him.
Sage ~ Rioko and him have fought, and played together. It all really depends on their mood.
Freya ~ The cute little Fen who gave Rioko his miniature katana set. She may have a crush on him. ^^
Kagei ~ He has met him briefly, seen him around the shop a few times. They talked a little when they were small.
Raidon ~ One of Rioko's closest friends! He looks up to Rioko, and Rioko thinks of him as a little brother. They like the sames things so get along very well.
Skyfire ~ She hath returned!^^ And Rioko got to teach her how to use a skateboard a little!
Koe ~ He's definately known Koe. Koe is Kurenai's little brother. He is very shy so Rioko doesn't get to talk to him much.
Naomi ~ This long haired Fen is a good friend to Rioko. When they first met she stood up for him. Rioko looks at her like a replacement for Sakura.
Lilia ~ Often at the shop with her guardian Ruriko. Riko sees her a lot but has really talked to her much.
Miesha ~ A cute little Fenthry that has helped Rioko before. She doesn't like when others fight and she usualy tres to talk them into not fighting.
Nightstar ~ Skyfire's brother. Rioko likes him especially because he doesn't remind him of Sakura.
Younaei ~ Rioko finds Yo yo to be a very understanding person. She accepts him for who he is, and that's important to him... He also sort of likes her, but realizes she's already taken.
((did I forget anyone ninja ?))//: Sakura has metMaine ~ The only person Sakura can stand to be around. They seem to tolerate each other to a certain level. Normally everyone runs from Sakura, but Maine was the first to stand up to her.
Kurenai ~ Kurenai keeps trying to be her friend. But Sakura just keeps turning her down...rudely.
Koe ~ He has tried to help Sakura on more than one occation, but Sakura doesn't like being around others and she even tried to kill him before.
Maya ~ As soon as Sakura met Maya she pulled a knife on her, which made Marushii very angry.
Raidon ~ Raidon despises Sakura. He tried being nice to her twice, but after she hurt Rioko, it angered him too far.
Freya ~ Has interest in why Sakura acts the way she does. But Sakura doesn't want to talk to her.
Hagane ~ Tried to become Sakura's friend, only to be ignored by Sakura's heartlessness.

A wayward grin etched itself across Rioko's fury, gray face. His wings and tail were rarely still, they continually twitched or flapped as he sat there on the top of the couch beside his new best friend, Erik... A bottle of Kloster held tightly with both arms wrapped around it. His eyes were glued to the TV screen, while Slipknot blared in the background. Both him and Erik were drunk, not exactly sure what they were watching... but watching it anyway. And busy talking about problems or random occurances.
"Yeah, I broke up with-... with, uh... Kurie. We-hell actually she f*ckin' broke up with... meee. Said I drink too much or somethin'... But... heh."
"What a little b*tch," Erik replied, snickering slightly, "You should go smack her around till she learns her d*mn place." He lifted his own bottle of Kloster and drank down what alcohol remained, then threw the empty beer bottle on the floor and laughed. He slid his arms around Sam's waist; whom was sitting meekly on Erik's lap and wishing she wasn't there. She wanted to go find Craig, she didn't feel safe with Erik at ALL; and had good reason.
Rioko laughed to, leaning back against the wall and letting the end of the bottle fall to his lips as he took another drink. After he was finished, he took a look around. His vision was blurred, but he remember he was in the living room. Pirate was gone, so he could do whatever he pleased. If she were here, she NEVER would have allowed this...
"I met this... uh, new girl though. Her names Yo yo... somethin'. She's pretty hot... but she's already taken," he stated, yawning, and then blinking tiredly.
"Bah... it doesn't matter," Erik answered, turning his head and grinning at Rioko, "As long as the boyfriend don't find out, your good to go." He then rested his head on the side of Sammy's and continued to stare at the TV... too drunk to realize he was actually watching the news.
"Yeah, that's great advice..." Sam muttered, "Just cause even more problems." She reached in to her pocket and pulled out a pack of cigarettes, sticking one in her mouth and then lighting it with her coffin shaped lighter.
"I don't think it would work anyway," Rioko added with a sigh, "She loves her boyfriend. It's not fair... there ain't any chicks left single... I wasted all my f*ckin' time on Kurenai..."
"My head hurts," Erik blurted out for no apparent reason; he then proceeded to chuckling, "And I gotta go... do that- err, plan the... party thing. If I'm not too drunk... Heh, later, dude." He pulled Sammy with him as he stood up, staggering down the hall way to go to Sam's room and get her phone. Sammy was forced to follow him, and he dragged her away.
"Party? Oh yeah, yeah, right... Ah, okay... later." Rioko tried to fly down to the sit on the couch where Erik had been, but he was very woozy. He simply fell off the top and landed on the cushion softly. His beer fell to left, off the couch, and spilled all over the floor. He didn't bother cleaning up or anything, and passed out there on the couch...

I don't have much to write about... and I'm not exactly sure why I'm writing. Let's see... what's going on... Oh. Oh yeah. Erik took me too a club the other day. I had a good time... beside the fact that I'm a foot tall... a heh. I still don't have a girlfriend. I need to find a chick... a... Fenthry chick. But I refuse to go back there... and I have a good reason.
While Pirate was screaming at Erik for multiple reason, I overheard her mention that D-Chan had banned him from the FPS, and he wasn't welcome there. I though she was better than Pirate... but... apparently not. She can go to hell... And yes, I realize it's my loss that I'm not going back, but oh well. Erik's my only friend. u_u
Also, I was thinking about that girl, Ophelia. She seems hot... I wonder if she'd go out with me. I'll probably scare her away... I need to find someone who-... accepts me for who I am. Like Yo yo. But Yo yo's with Kagei... I need someone to play matchmaker. ninja
I'm even more bored now than I was before. So... later.

Erik needs to BURN in hell. I am SO fed up with that man. It's bad enough what he's done to Sam, Raven, Craig and Kate. But he's completely transformed Rioko, and not only that, but frequently is bringing alcohol and drugs into my home! I don't know what to do... I'm too afraid to tell him to leave and never come back... he'd probably throw a fit and cut my head off... or worse. Let's just be glad D-Chan banned him from the shop...
Rioko says he's going to move to Erik's house/mansion since he no longer has any use for the FPS. But I doubt he will... he still wants a girlfriend. He won't leave until he gets one. But no female Fenthry in their right mind is going to date someone like Rioko... He drinks, he smokes, he says Erik's given him marijuana before... But what am I supposed to do about it? I can't stop Erik, and I can't just kick Rioko out...
Kurenai broke up with him a while back... and I don't blame her. She said she didn't want to be with him if he kept on living the way he was now. Rioko was furious... he thought Kurenai would always love him no matter what. But when she didn't accept the "new him", he felt he didn't need her anyway. I'm proud of Kurenai, that must of been hard on her... but she did the right thing. Even though Rioko will never admit it, I know that he's hurting. At first, he didn't care... but now, after a few weeks went by knowing she's out there and he can't have her, he's finally getting the effect of it. The more he pushes his feelings off to act "tough", the more he hurts. But it's his own fault... and he's too stubborn to fix it...
It hurt me a lot too... Kurenai and Rioko were such a cute couple before she left... that's when Rioko was devastated, and had no one to turn to but that filthy beast, Erik. Rioko was down, and Erik brought him back up to be just like him. God do I hate him...
Erik tried to change a while back. When Sam was protected from him by Craig, and threatened to put Erik back in jail, he head a bit of a breakdown. He wanted to change, and he also wanted to be closer to Raven. Now... you have to understand... Raven is completely emotionless when it comes to love. She doesn't care about people the same way some people care about her. Like Aaron, for instance. EVERYONE hates Aaron... including me... and I'm not sure why, because he's the sweetheart, anti-alcohol, angel of all my "friends".... He has been in love with Raven for a while, but she's always pushing him away. Finally she told him that she could never love him, or anyone, because she doesn't have those kind of feelings. He's a very emotional guy (people think he's gay sometimes @_@) so it hurt him to the point were he decided to kill himself. But before he did... he realized how cowardly that would be... and had to lock himself away from everyone else and be extremely emo and depressed.
But then when Erik asked Raven to become be his girlfriend and help him change, she agreed o_O. Going from Aaron to Erik seems like a bit of a fall from grace, but... apparently she lied horribly to Aaron and crushed him, broke his heart, so he'd leave her alone. She was Erik's girlfriend for about month... I was amazed at how much Erik had changed in a month just by being with Raven. It seemed like he was actually going to have a turn around from his previous ways. But... soon enough, she got tired of him. If that's what it was. Maybe she actually LIKED the old Erik better... but... Erik got into a fist fight with Craig trying to "protect" Raven, and she used that fight as an excuse to leave him. Literally. She hasn't seen or spoken to Erik since that day.
Erik was devastated just like Aaron had been... His friends hated him, his girlfriend left him, Craig was going to get the police, and he felt there was no point in living. He attempted suicide, but Craig and Sam called 911 just in time that they could get him to the hospital and save him... After he recovered, his change went downhill, now he's back to normal... He's already trying to use Sam again, and like me, Sam is too afraid to stand up to him. Not without Craig... Craig and Kate(who are husband and wife) are having there own problems after Erik tried to get Kate to sleep with him... Which she didn't, of course. But I'm not even going to get into that... I've rambled too much already @_@
ANYWAY... sorry for the big rant... I'll write again when I have time ^^;;

((Okay, we can get this RP in before I write my journal entry, so I'll have two things to write about XDDD This can take place... uh... after Rioko went to the concert... thing XP))
Rioko was flying home from the A-Poc concert. Erik was drunk, so he didn't particularly want a ride home from him... He was thinking about Skyfire mostly... Thinking about the time they had together today. He hadn't thought it possible to find someone who could replace Kurenai... But he was already very attracted to her, and he knew that they could get closer. He was almost sure that Sky liked him too.
He was passing stores slowly; spending too much time thinking of his date, and not enough time pay attention to his surroundings. He had been drinking at the concert... but not as much as Erik, so he wasn't really drunk... Still, he was in "la la land" in thought about Skyfire, he was narrowly escaped a run right into passer-by's. Rioko really hoped that Sky had had just as much fun as him... He was very excited to meet her tomorrow back at the store...

"Darn it, I know it was around here somewhere!" D-chan moans, scratching the back of her head worriedly. "Gah, it's getting late and I still haven't found it...I know it's here...it HAS to be here, I really wanted to get a new teapot..." The half-fox strolls down the street, her commentary and appearance earning her a number of strange and sometimes unpleasant looks from other passers-by. She hardly notices, though, too intent on finding the shop in question.
"I still say you should ask for directions!" Kurenai pipes up from atop the half-fox's head. She seems much more cheerful now, her expression like sunshine as she helps her guardian search for the elusive junk shop. Her attire, too, has gone through a dramatic change: from a kimono to Rioko's outfit to a new pair of dark blue baggy jeans and a Japanese style jacket emblazoned with the five guardians of Chinese myth.
"What are we looking for again?" Danyeh pipes up, clinging to the side of D-chan's head to search the street for a shop that he doesn't even know. Not much help, but he tries.
"It's a shop called "What You Thought Was Lost," Kurenai replies. "D-chan loves it, it's full of all sorts of neat junk--"
"Collectibles and antiques!" D-chan corrects.
"--stuff."
"Fine, I'll go with that."
Kurenai smiles, turning her attention back to the street...and the little grey missile darting through the crowd. Her emerald green eyes go wide with recognition as she realizes just what it is coming toward them...
...and then she takes off, zooming through the crowd on a collision course with the ash-grey fenthry. "Rioko!!" she squeaks, tackling him out of the air. They manage to land, thankfully, on a pile of fabric for sale and avoid any too-horrible injuries... "Rioko! How are you?" she asks, her face bright with excitement at seeing him again.

Rioko heard the familiar voice in front of him, but before he had time to look up to see who it was, he was talked inside the store and onto a pile of fabric. He was shocked, but he was even MORE shocked when he saw who it was. It was... Kurenai. He hadn't actually seen her in a while... Hm... funny. He met Sky and Kurie today; both out of the shop.
His eyes stayed locked on the ruby furred fen for quite a while. When last they met, she seemed angry with him, and it made him angry with her. But she seemed happy and excited to see him... It actually seemed wrong.
"... Um... Hi, Kurenai...?" he said, though it was more of a question. He seemed very confused, but didn't know what else to do or say. He sat up and glanced around at the shop. Fabric? He needed more for his clothes... Well... maybe he'd come back later and get some... but... What were they odds of meeting Kurenai in the same day as Sky? There were so few Fenthry... it was a big town.

Kurenai stands up, dusting off her silky jacket and baggy pants. "It's been a while, hasn't it?" she laughs, little ruby hands beating the dust out of her sleeves. "How have you been? What have you been up to? More drinking?" she chuckles. Strangely, though, she does not sound at all disgusted as she says it. She just smiles her normal smile as she looks around. "Well, what do you know. We found it."
"Kurenai I love you." D-chan ducks into the shop, running a finger over the richly patterned material before spinning once. "Welcome, my pretty fenthries (and songfoxes), to the most amazing shop in the world, What You Thought Was Lost!"
"Did she just call us pretty?" Grei asks, peering around the side of the half-fox's head to look at Danyeh. His companion simply smiles and shrugs before clambering up to the fox-girl's head. Grei sighs and follows suit, curious to get a look around this place that D-chan so raves about.
Danyeh, though, has other ideas. His attention stays firmly locked on the two fenthries chatting nearby. What if Rioko does something stupid again? What if Kurenai loses her nerve? What if everything happens all over again?
...he doesn't want that to happen.

Rioko's ears went flat for a moment. He wasn't sure if she taunting him, or teasing him, or what. It was confusing... he stood up, spit, and then nodded somewhat arrogantly. "Yes, actually." His wings beat a few times before they arched again, back into place. He fixed his beanie, and then returned his view to the female Fen in front of him. Something didn't seem right about this... He could feel it...
"Just... hanging out with Erik and stuff," he said awkwardly, looking up at D-Chan for a moment. "D-Chan,"... he muttered, "You're the one who f*ckin' banned him from the FPS... you don't even know him... B*tch..." He looked back at Kurenai and sighed.
"So... what have you been up to...?" he asked with a questionable attitude. The tip of his tail flickered, and he searched around the shop with his eyes.

Thankfully, D-chan fails to hear Rioko''s comment. She has long since abandoned the fenthries on the stack of haphazardly aligned material for places further into the shop, where the treasures truly lie, taking Koe and Kaju with her while the songfoxes hang back, hiding on a shelf over the fenthries'' heads.
Kurenai wags a finger playfully at Rioko before looking around the shop again. "You really shouldn''t say such things about D-chan to her face...she might wind up squishing you, and we wouldn''t want that," she chuckles. "Me? Oh, not much. Exploring the mountains, visiting the ocean, trying to convince D-chan that moving is NOT the answer to her imagined problems," she laughs. "I''ve been reading and exploring magic and learning about what I can really do when I put my mind to it. How about you? How''s life treating you?"
Everything about her radiates calm friendship. It''s as though she has completely forgotten their last encounters, much like Maine forgot his former frame of mind. She seems completely honest in her carelessness of his words and his appearance and his attitude and even the fact that there''s the slight stench of liquor around him. Something certainly has happened...

Was something wrong with Kurenai?... Had she gone insane like that Maine kid...? He distinctly remembered hearing that she was extremely upset about the break up... His eyes ran up and down her for a little... Just seeing her again started to make him feel awkward inside... He didn't want to feel that way, he pushed it off as hard as he could, and wanted to leave before it got harder to deal with... In truth... he missed Kurenai... but it was too late to go back... wasn't it? He had to move on...
"Kurenai... don't you even care about what happened between us," he asked with a raised brow, "Don't you even remember? Doesn't it... bother you at all the way your acting like nothing ever happened..." Rioko backed away from her with an odd face, and then fluttered into the air. He wanted to leave... but then... he also wanted to stay... it was very confusing.
