These are outfits that I normally cannot wear due to my wings, but I still have them for the times when I use a polyjuice potion to look more 'normal' so I can go out and do what other people do every day without fear of being stared at. I hope to keep the first one hidden from Mother as long as possible, as it is a bit more revealing than what I usually wear. When I picked it out I was thinking of what I would wear to a club, and I finally got to wear it when Anen, Silver, Kia and myself all went to the club Silver DJs at! That was a lot of fun!
All put together at a free dolling site and then edited.

I hope this doesn't sound wrong, but I really enjoy combat practice with Mother and Calavel. It keeps me fit, healthy, and strong as well as focused. I really don't like to use the edged weapons that Mother keeps trying to tutor me with, but I'm trying anyway. She makes me carry the dagger she gave me strapped to the outside of my right thigh, saying it is for protection.

This is Jaruil, my practice staff. Jaruil means 'noble staff' in my Mother's native tongue of elven, and the name simply seemed to fit. Jaruil is a masterfully created wooden quarterstaff, but nothing more.

Ansr'athali was named before she came to me, an acquisition of my Mother's from her adventuring days. 'Rune of Shadow' is what her name means, a name that hints at what she is capable of if used correctly. She boasts an adamatine blade as well as excellant craftsmanship, so she can cut through most anything without getting chipped. Mother told me that she is enchanted with a number of properties, and I'll try to list them all here. She is magically more accurate as well as sharp, she has been imbrued with holy power like my Mother's Bael'tae (Eirnae's second b*****d sword), and she is able to damage ethereal beings. I hope to never have to use Ansr'athali for any reason, even if she feels 'right' in my hand.

Tiaiel was a gift my Mother brought to me from a man she calls Lehn Moorgahaine. Her name means 'Magic Giver' in elven, and yes, I consider my wand to be female in spirit as well as a giver of magic. When I first held her in my hand I felt a tugging at my core, like Tiaiel called to something within me I never realized I had. Do I possess a magical calling? I shall ask Calavel and my other mother, Lenore, for advice on this matter.

How Shina currently feels about all of the fa'e.
<center><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v41/Eirnae/Fae/Website/rosebar-1.png"></center></center>
Airi - I believe it is safe to say that Airi is the first of us, or at least we can consider her like a mother of sorts. She is terribly shy of others, only being comfortable around us Fa'e and our Guardians. She is also close to Anya, otherwise known as the Life Weaver. Sometimes I wonder if Airi is a Fa'e herself, and Anya is her Guardian. Perhaps that concept is not so far fetched.
<center><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v41/Eirnae/Fae/Website/rosebar-1.png"></center>
Aadil - Still not quite on speaking terms, as quite frankly he seems to do his best to ignore me. I'm letting such slide for now, but one day we will have to talk at least once or twice, as Nyoka is still my blood sister whether he likes it or not.
Amilu - I don't know him very well, though I have glimpsed him once or twice. He has a very pleasant spirit, very calming.
Anen - I treasure Anen for his kind heart and playful personality, but have I allowed myself to slip beyond the borders of friendship? No, my heart tells me otherwise, but I still feel the guilt pressing down upon me. I need to find a way to express our friendship that will cement our relationship as platonic, even if only for my sake.
Arakel - I have met him before, just not for very long. His soul reminds me of the waves of the ocean, a smattering of blues with some white.
Astaroth - He has never been anything but polite to me, but something in my heart tells me that he needs to be watched carefully.
Aurora - I received a gift from her long ago, and have not interacted with her much since.
Aylana - My sister is confused and unsure of herself, that much I could tell the last time we spoke, which seems so very long ago. I hope that she is well.
Dawna - A soul full of sorrow that even she doesn't understand. I wish to help her in some way, yet I am afraid I will say the wrong thing and only sting her pride.
Devmani - It is wonderous how one can meet another and feel as if they have been friends for an eternity. There is something achingly familiar about Devmani, something I cannot place. In time I shall remember it, but for now I will simply enjoy knowing this endearing soul.
Faye - A girl with two souls, intermingled with one another. I don't think even she knows who she really is.
Ghlyssa - Dear Ghlyssa...I miss you, my sister. She helped me learn how to fly again, and has always been a comforting presence. I often wish I knew where she went off to...
Hoshi - Dear Hoshi, have I betrayed you? I cannot help but feel that I have, and it is tearing me apart... While nothing truly happened, it nearly did, and that is enough for me to question myself. I must speak with you of this, but when and how?
Keir - I have yet to meet her, but Mother and I did get her some gifts fairly recently. I hear she is a feisty, if adorable, black cat.
Kia - My kind sister is always full of innocent playfulness and smiles, if not for herslf then for others. How can one not love her?
Laylana - I have heard of Laylana, and she gave me a gift a few months ago. I have yet to be introduced to her.
Mordath - What times I have spoken with him in the past, Mordath has impressed upon me to be one searching for himself. Perhaps by now he has discovered what he wished to know so badly.
Morion - He has since seemed to disappear into the ether, and I worry for him. Is he alright? Has he finally faded into nothingness without his Guardian being alive to anchor him?
Mortimer - I have yet to meet this rumored 'ball of fur', but I hope to one day.
Naia - To be honest, I have not actually met Naia before, though I have heard that she is a nice person. Anen seems especially fond of her, which only urges me on to try and meet her.
Nyoka - A roiling coil of bubbling emotions is my sister, and I feel she needs my friendship and guidance now more than ever.
Onuris - Rei says that she is in love with him, and it delights me greatly to know that she will not be alone. I'll admit to not knowing Onuris as much as I would like, but time will hopefully change that.
Purr-Purr - Purr-Purr and I are not close, but we have met on a few occasions. I wonder how she is now that Morion has been gone for so long?
Raeith - I wish to help and protect this girl, this golden spirit who so desperately wants to be loved. What can I do?
Rei - She has chosen her path, that of mortality, and I enforce her decision tenfold. My heart swells with pride that she has come this far on her path of healing her soul.
Riven - Spirit Keeper...you approved my love with your Star Keeper in the past, and now you do so again. You have been there for me time and time again, and for that I thank you.
Rune - I have heard that he is, for lack of a better term, 'sunny' character. Of course I have yet to prove such by meeting him.
Sati - The one my past Guardian, Silver, wishes to marry, and a girl whom I find myself very fond of. I always said that Silver had excellant taste in females, and she is no exception.
Silver - Silver has become much more like his old self, despite his loss of his left eye. However, it is of his soul of which I speak, not his changed appearance. He is stronger now, more stable. I am glad for him and his Sati, and hope to watch over him in the time to come as not his Lady, but his sister.
Sire - Sire has become quite the handful, causing trouble wherever he goes. Why does he not think before he acts? He has been the first kiss of many, and all he has planted his lips on were unwilling subjects as far as I know. I never thought I could be annoyed with a Fa'e as much as he, but he is gradually proving such a thing is possible.
Solo - I have never met Solo, though I hear he is a cute little thing. I wonder why his Guardian doesn't bring him to the HQ more often?
Taima - I have not met her either, but she sounds very fussy, if pretty. Aadil is said to be rather fond of her, at least by his actions. Perhaps because she is also a type of bird fa'e?
Taka - Kia says that she misses Taka, and that he hasn't been around as much as he used to. How is such possible when I see him around her fairly often? Strange.
Yanisin - He is such a sweet little one! I have met him a few times, and I find myself growing more and more fond of him. I hear he has grown into a toddler, and that he is ever cuter, if more emotional, now.
Yin - We connected when I was a toddler and she a baby, but then she disappeared from my world. Now she has returned, yet somehow she has yet to grow.
Zevulon - I have only heard the faintest of murmurs concerning the possible existence of this Fa'e. Everything I have heard has yet to be confirmed.

Memories, Shina's Rebirth (January 31st, Morning)O_O IT'S SHINA!!! OMG!!!!! ^O^!!!! heart
Rei: o_o Where is she?!
Dranzer: *swoops in, and perches on Rei's shoulder*
Dratheen: *chittering like crazy*
Shina strains more, a soft whimper escaping her pale lips as she tries her best to reach her sister. "Rei," Eirnae asks the fa'e child quietly in sylvan, "Would you like to hold her?" A part of Eirnae is sad that Shina wishes to be with her sister first and foremost, while another is rejoicing at the two being together again.
Eirnae passes the bundled winged baby to Rei with care, trying to not jostle the broken wings as she does so. The reaction this has for Shina is near magical, as her features become suddenly animated with a happy smile that lights up her face completely.
Both her arms reach up towards her sister's face as she coos, her blank eyes staring straight up into Rei's crimson ones. "Wei," the little one manages with her young vocal cords, her fingers wiggling up at her older sister. "Wei!"
"Wei..." Shina keeps her smile as her eyelids close and her hands go to rest over her heart, one atop the other as if trying to protect it from outer harm. Her small body relaxes, every once tense muscle now near jelly. Her breathing becomes more regulated, soft and quiet as before but a little bit deeper. She had fallen asleep.
Eirnae looks down at her fa'e baby in Rei's arms and wipes away her tears with her hands, smiling at this scene. 'May these moments last forever in her memory as well as mine,' she finds herself praying.

Ooooooh, Eirnae, you're so lucky!
Eirnae Natenhar
Eirnae turns to Anya, "What? Shina..? Where? Whe..." Her eyes get wide as she's handed a small baby, wrapped in light grey blankets, whose form is so unearthly still. For a moment she thinks the warm shape in her arms isn't alive till she sees the reassuring movement of air being taken in by those tiny lungs.
Immediately Eirnae starts to do what many mothers do when their young are first handed to them, she counts Shina's fingers and then her fingernails. She gazes at the soft, curled dark eyelashes on the perfect eye lids...and then she cries.

Rei: *walks over to Eirnae, and peers at the baby in her arms, and smiles warmly* My dear sister... You're finally here.....
GunsmokeGirl
Wow... *smiles at Eirnae and Shina* I think I'm about to cry, myself... she's absolutely beautiful. And a perfect counterpart for Rei...
Morion: *watches silently... he's pulled out a quill pen from somewhere and is making notes in the large book that he carries with him often*

Shina's lids open to reveal the white glazed orbs beneath, and her head turns towards Rei's voice. Her small left hand reaches out to her sister, as if longing to touch her. The small white wings...'Blood stained...but why?'...are at an odd angle that wings should not be able to go...they were twisted and tattered, the baby would not be able to fly with such wings.
Eirnae's tears are bittersweet now, her mind trying its best to puzzle out why Shina was reborn in such a fashion. And what are those marks on the little one's wrists? She touches them carefully with a fingertip, feeling the indentions in the flesh. They weren't just marks...they were carvings.

Tilting his head curiously, Taka skips over to Rei and Eirnae, his eyes blinking innocently. "What's that?" A tiny hand points towards the bundle.

Have you ever looked into a pair of eyes that belonged to a body that should have been generations younger than you, and yet you cannot help but see that this being knows far more than you could ever hope to learn in a lifetime?
To say looking into Shina's milky white eyes wasn't unnerving would be a lie, for those irisless orbs seemed to bore themselves past any defense I had erected and pushed on to lightly kiss my very essence. I cannot shake the feeling that she never technically left after that, burrowing within my chest to watch over my heart. Somehow it was a familar feeling, as if she'd been with me ever since I had crossed the planes into Gaia and was merely returning home. Is that a possibility? That Shina was the true reason that I had been drawn here? Perhaps...no sense in dwelling on it at just this moment, as I have other things I ought to ponder instead.
Such as how she had known what direction Rei was in after hearing her voice briefly and only once. I do believe that she had looked straight up into Rei's eyes as well, as if she could see her. I've already proved that is an exceptional thing, as Shina will not respond to any visual stimulas I have tried. But the moment I make any type of noise she immediately responds to it, usually by simply turning her head and 'looking' in that direction. That's so strange...only the newly blind react in such a way. Strange, and yet it gives me hope. Perhaps if she keeps trying to use her eyes as well as her other senses they will heal in time? It may be a long shot, but I'm willing to try anything I can to bring my Shina...yes, my Shina a happier future.
She sleeps now, cuddled up in my arms with her hands tightly woven about the doll her sister had given her earlier today.

Speaking of which, Shina surprised me on the way to the Wanderers' realm. While we were crossing a small bridge she pushed her doll up towards me and seemed to ask, "Nam?" Alimus had perked up his ears from his place by my side and suggested that she was asking me to 'name' her doll for her. I couldn't help but smile down at Shina and try to think of a good name for her already precious doll, for even after asking the question it was back in her arms again. "Why don't we call her 'Ama', dear one," I suggested in sylvan, "That means.." "Booful," Shina interupted, her little hands hugging her doll to her, "Ama...Ama Wei!" I can only guess that she was making the connection of the doll with her sister...but again she wasn't awake when Rei had handed the doll to me. How did she know?
Now I stand here, surrounded by the still lingering smell of fresh paint and wallpaper glue, in a room that I never thought I would ever have built...a nursery. I am looking down at the small miracle in my arms that I always thought I would never have...a baby. She may be a reincaration of a being I barely know anything about, but to my heart that doesn't matter.
She is my daughter.

Thank Eilistraee for Cyoro! She's been a true blessing since I brought Shina home to the realm yesterday. I had hoped that natural maternal instinct would make up for my lack of knowledge on how to care for an infant, and of course I was wrong. Goddess guide me, was I wrong. Of course I know the basic proceedures; things such as warming a bottle of milk and testing it on your forearm before giving it to the child, burping them, keeping them nice and warm...I've known enough mothers to remember such things. It's the details that you cannot learn till you experience them yourself that I wasn't prepared for.
For example, I always postpone my four hours of trance till after I leave wherever I am staying and perform my dance of celebration to the moon when it is at its peak in the sky. After my trance I awaken and go to dance my farewell to the moon as it slips below the horizon. These are an essential part of my personal worship for my goddess, Eilistraee, and I strive to maintain my pattern every night. The evening that I brought Shina home was to be no different. I settled her into her crib with Ama to snuggle as she slept, and stood there looking down and marveling at her for some time afterwards. I then went and grabbed the rocking chair and sat down by her, to puzzle over what more I could purchase for her room to make it even more special. Cyoro passed by the open doorway a few hours later to see me still sitting here, and still pondering. "Eirnae? Aren't you usually out at this hour?" she had whispered to me quietly. I turned to look out the nursery's window, immediately stood up, and left the room leaving Cyoro instructions even as I fast walked my way to my room right next door, "Her-name-is-Shina-she's-the-one I-mentioned-take-care-of-her-please." I then hot footed it out of the cottage to my usual hilltop, arriving just in time to take care of my dance for the moon's glory...but my heart wasn't in it. I simply couldn't focus, and what they say is true; there is no art without inspiration. All I could think of was my Shina and if she was sleeping well. Was she safe? Why had I left her in Cyoro's care when I could be with her myself?
Now I can shake my head at those worries, perhaps even laugh. Cyoro is currently whirling little Shina around in the air saying that Shina is flying, and Shina is giggling up a storm while kicking her legs and arms enthusiastically. I do so love Shina's laughter...it makes my heart swell up with happiness to hear her 'silver bells ring', which is how I've come to think of her giggles as that's just what they sound like. Ah, I'm afraid I cannot write down anymore just now, we're off to a play date at Yuumei and Rei's place. I'm hoping this will give the two girls some time to bond all over again. Ah yes, Cyoro is giving me her 'put down the inkpen and get going' look. I'll write another entry to finish this one when we get back, goddess willing.
Pardon my crumbs should they fall on you, dear diary, but this apple pastry that Yuumei's sakur Hiromi made is just too good to put down!
Let's see...where should I start? Hmm... let's begin with how the play date went, as I do believe that is were I last left off.
Visiting Yuumei, Rei, and their assortment of pets was a fun experience overall. I am so very pleased that Rei loved the presents that I brought for her, of course it also made me wish that Shina were old enough to have aided in picking them out to make them even more special. Rei made the moment what I had been hoping for, however, by asking Shina to be the one to name her jester doll. When the name 'Bael' was spoken with utter finality by my usually soft spoken baby I wanted to stand up and swing her around in endless circles! She's understanding me when I speak elven! That will make teaching her my native language so much easier than I had feared!
Of course there is the puzzle...how did she become so well spoken in just a day's time? Could it have to do with the incident when Alimus alerted me to her making her throat glow a light red? I had froze in place watching that same red slowly fade from my baby's neck while she hung limp in her sister's arms. I don't ever want to feel that frightened again in my life! Give me an ancient red dragon to fight, no problem. Fetch me a mind flayer to slay, I'll handle it. Just don't let my Shina look as if she's been hurt!
Pardon me a moment, Cyoro wishes to ask me a question...and I suddenly don't feel much like writing.

Don't worry anymore, diary, I finished the pastry. Well..we finished it, actually, as Cyoro stole some of mine. Dear girl, she really has changed her personal schedule to try and help Shina integrate into the family with more ease. Mostly she's been on 'keep everyone out of Shina's room' duty, as I don't think Shina is quite ready to meet all of my companions just yet...I don't want to overwhelm her. I'm planning on introducing them to her one at a time, a process I've heard from other fa'e parents is reliable and effective.
Anyway, back to what I was writing before we were interupted. I'm grateful for the time to rethink the situation over before putting my pen to paper again. I should not focus on the overwhelming feeling of helplessness I had felt at that moment. Instead I should remember the joy that flooded my heart when Shina cried out for me just after. I don't think I've ever moved so fast in my life! It wasn't just the fact that she needed me, though that did reassure me in ways I don't think she'll ever know, it was because she was crying for her 'mommy' in sylvan. She regards me as her mommy! Just thinking about it now flushes me in a warm glow that I never want to go away.
I plan on taking Shina with me tonight, with Alimus to supervise her of course, when I go out to perform my dance for the moon and my goddess. I do hope that she won't be cold...or frightened...pah! I'm worrying again. She will be fine, and perhaps if she's a good girl this time around we can do it again in the future. That said I'd best get us ready to go to my hilltop. I pray that the moon is as lovely tonight as it was last phase...

Forgive me if I write this in a shaky hand...but at this point it cannot be helped. I should have written down the pleasant experiences from earlier this morning before now, and for that I am sorry. Writing them down at this point reminds me of trying to reach for all the good times you had in life when you are drowning in your own sorrow. Perhaps if I purged what happened this morning from my mind within your pages, diary, then I can recall those times without staining them with my tear streaked hands.
How to put into words the helplessness I feel when I dream of Shina's sacrifice... I am not in control, I cannot stop it. Each arm and leg is imprisoned in the leather bindings to keep me/her aloft over a marble altar. Each wing stretched to its full length and bound in much the same manner. I feel each blow as they smash her beautiful wings, bone by bone. The knives that snake along her wrists and ankles, carve into her chest and the small of her back...Eilistraee preserve me! I thought with her rebirth the visions would end, but this time they were all the more clarified...all the more real. This time I didn't black out from the sensations, I stayed alert and screaming as they took the burning sticks to my eyes...
Believe me or not, that wasn't the part that bothered me the most. It was what came after...the part of the visions I had never experienced before. Physical pain is one thing, I have felt it on numerous occasions and will so again. I have nearly died for my companions many times over the last twenty three years of my life, and will so again. It was being in the Void, as the memories called it. The black expanse with no end. I...no, Shina was alone with no one to comfort her. She was this way for longer than most of my kind live...longer than anyone should ever be. It was the price she had to pay for giving up her life as she did, giving up her immortality for the souls of the others she once knew...even if it were for the short journey of guiding their spirits to the next world. For her sister...Rei. I endured the loneliness for what seemed like months, perhaps even years, and just when I thought I could take it no longer reality was wrenched and spun about me. I was suddenly in a room that seemed oddly familar...it smelled of vanilla and silver-tip roses. Paintings of dragons frozen in flight on the walls, elves in their grey-green cloaks, Eilistraee silhouetted by the full moon in the oiled night sky...these were the murals I had painted in Shina's room. I then saw the white crib, the bars near glowing with the moonlight falling upon them from the open window. I willed myself closer, closer to where I knew Shina would be sleeping. I had to see her face, to make sure she was having better dreams than I, if any at all.
Her eyes...her eyes were bleeding. My baby's hands were over her eyes, and I could just make out the streaks of red on her fingers. Her palms must have been covered with gore. I wanted to pick her up and comfort her, but my hands passed straight through her as if I were but a ghost. Then, as if sensing me near, her fingers fell away from her face...and I saw the gaping holes were her eyes should have been.
I broke my trance screaming, sitting straight up in my bed. Alimus bounded up to be at my side immediately, and I buried my face in his soft fur. My mind recoiled from what I had experienced, from what I had seen. Then I heard Shina's wail, and I somehow unentangled myself from my sheets and Alimus at the same time and ran to her. She was right next door, so I didn't have far to run. I nearly rammed down her door before thinking to open it by its handle, dashing to my daughter's side to pick her up and hold her to my chest with my hands supporting her with gentle care. I crooned to her softly in elven, my mind unable to come up with any other language than my first I was so frazzled, just rocking her side to side with my body in an impromptu dance. I didn't smell the blood till her sobbing had winded down to a low whimper. I knew without checking that the blood was from her eyes, somehow I just knew. Then she asked of me in elven a favor I will remember for the rest of my life, "Stay with me?"
I promised to stay with her forever, and that I would forsake the arms of Eilistraee to remain at her side. Goddess forgive me, but I meant it. I then tried my hand at singing her to sleep with one of the songs my mother used to sing to me when I was young, and it seemed to do the trick. Alimus was kind enough to change Shina's sheets and bed clothes for me while I continued to hold her in my arms. I couldn't help but curse myself as I took my only daughter to the wash basin and carefully washed what crimson I could from under her eyes. Shina..if I'd only known before I left you alone in your room. I promise you will never be lonely again! I took Shina with me into my bedroom and laid back down with her in my arms, not caring about my own soiled clothing. Alimus came up onto the bed for once to wrap himself against us both, his soft purr chasing away my own demons and encouraging my concience to again enter trance.
There were no more visions after that.
I must thank you, dear diary, as this has served to clear my head more than anyone could possibly know. I will return after getting breakfast for everyone and write down what happened when I took my Shina with me earlier to dance for my goddess...I feel calm enough to do so now.

At last every last family member is fed, including myself.
I'm pleased to say that Calavel came home this morning right after breakfast, as if she knew that there would be a new arrival waiting for her. In fact she even brought Shina a 'birth gift', as she calls it. I wish I was as in tune with Eilistraee as my teacher, her wisdom exceeds mine by many leagues. Though I will admit the last thing I had expected Calavel to pull out of her pack to give my Shina was a fluffy stuffed bunny...and of course that's exactly what she did.

Shina fell in love with the rabbit the moment her hands came in contact with its soft fur, hugging it to her while cooing softly. Now she has a trio of toys that I'm trying to convince her she cannot take with her everywhere, and losing miserably of course. Luckily Alimus has developed a soft spot for 'his cub' and is willing to tote her toys around like a living baggage cart.
Calavel pulled me aside and informed me that our Lady has plans for Shina, and that the child is blessed in Her sight. I had suspected as much, but to hear this from Calavel lifted my spirit up so high that the pain from before faded into the back of my mind. Surely Eilistraee would look after her if I instructed Shina in her ways, and protect her from having any more visions of such a damaging nature. Calavel has agreed to up my training in the ways of the Shadow so that I can be prepared to train my daughter for that path as well. I cannot force her to follow what I have become, but I can show her the road she may walk and see if she chooses to take it.
Which brings me to how Shina reacted to my moonlit dance.
We left the cottage a half hour ahead of schedule, as I wanted to be sure to give Shina time to get used to the chill before I could not hold her any longer. She was all bundled up in the light grey heavy cotton baby clothes that Cyoro and I had made days before Shina actually arrived, though I still believe Cyoro aided me with that just to help me keep my mind occupied and off the subject of my visions. Well, that and keep me from bleeding to death from poking myself with the needle over and over again by accident. At any rate, we walked through the ever-blooming cherry trees at a leisurely pace. I can only imagine what it must have been like for Shina, being carried along without knowing where she was going, her nostrils filled with the nearly overpowering scent of cherry blossoms from all directions. I'm fairly sure that she also gave a small sigh of relief when we reached the clearing around my favorite hill, one of the few spots in the Wanderers' realm not covered with those trees.
We hiked up the small hill till the moon and the stars of the bright night sky felt like they were our only company beyond ourselves. I love that feeling...those are the times I feel closest to Eilistraee. I handed Shina down to Alimus, and he morphed into his elven form to hold her for me. I explained to Shina that her mommy had brought her out onto a hilltop to perform a dance for her goddess, a goddess who loved and watched after her mommy. She simply stared straight forward with her blank eyes, but she nodded after I was through talking. That was enough for me, and I turned to walk forward several feet into my 'dancer's circle'. For every worshipper of Eilistraee the dancer's circle is composed of different materials, and often means something different to each dancer. My circle is a wide pattern of obsidian stones, each smoothed to glimmer in the moonlight like fallen stars. Just a simple circle, I like to think that my dancing makes up for the lack of detail in my chosen 'temple'.
I started as I usually do, kneeling and looking up at the moon to fully appreciate its glorious light. I removed my b*****d sword, Heart Seeker, from its sheath and laid it in front of me with the blade facing west. I unbuckled the strap holding the sheath to my back and discarded it, tossing it over my circle to land in the grass. I slowly did the same with the rest of my clothing, from the top down. Finally I was standing in the proper beginning posture, bare from head to toe as my beliefs required. The 'dance of the moon's glory' begins with the dancer stretching out both arms to their sides with the right leg balanced behind them with the toes of the foot pointed and touching the ground. The arms lift up towards the moon they are paying homage to before they sweep their pointed toe to the front, soon after gracefully bringing their arms back as they thrust their upper body upwards and put their weight on the flat of their right foot to point the left behind them. The dance then becomes a series of slow, flowing movements that takes the dancer all around their circle, gaining in speed and ferocity as they make their first 'phase' or journey around the circle. After the second 'phase' the dancer quickly bends to take up their sword and integrates it into their dance. Styles vary per the dancer, but my Heart Seeker is like a part of my body, I've used it so much over the years. My Heart Seeker and I are as one when I dance, the blade's frost magic activating in reaction to my excitement and leaving streaks of its icy aura in the air. The dance slowly winds down, the ending of the dance a personal matter for the dancer themselves. I often end mine in the same kneeling position that I began in, only I offer up my Heart Seeker to Eilistraee and remain as such for several minutes of quiet contemplation and prayer.
Alimus tells me that Shina had seemed to actually watch the dance, her small head moving a bit as I moved. She didn't make any sound at all, not a peep. She simply watched in her own unique way, however that is possible. During my 'time of reflection' I had a brief vision of what Shina once looked like..at least that is what I believe...or was this a glimpse of the future? Her wings were folded and at rest behind her as she was knelt as I, a crystal staff offered up towards the moon much as my sword was. Her eyes were closed and her head tilted back, her body bare as she seemed to worship in the moonlight...then it was gone, leaving me to stare up at the moon and then look down at the shimmering blade of my sword. An omen? I then heard a soft coo behind me, and rose to my feet to walk over and pick up Shina as she smiled up at me. Her smile will always warm my heart whenever I see it, I just know it.
Ah, that is enough of that I believe. It's time I took Shina to visit her fellow fa'e at the HQ, now that some of the Guardians will most likely be awake. Not to mention I have to do some shopping that I promised a friend I would do. I'll write again soon.

So much has happened in such a short while, and I have little time to write about it...I must get to my practice with my teacher. I hate to leave Shina in Cyoro and her pet Fislar's care, but Alimus and I are both required for this lesson.
When Alimus and I took Shina to the Fa'e HQ early this afternoon I had thought we would visit Rei and her Guardian Yuumei. I had never suspected that Kaekia and her Hoshi would be there, though it was a pleasant surprise. The way that Shina and Hoshi interacted only proved to surprise me further, and I cannot shake the feeling that they knew each other once...and fairly intimately at that. Perhaps I am blowing it out of poportion, but my gut is often right about such things. We will simply have to see... I should mention that Hoshi offered one of his stars to little Shina and she chose to place it on the orb in her forehead. As a result my fa'e child now has four small blue stars encircling her blue jewel, each a perfect duplicate of the other. Hoshi seemed fascinated with them and touched each with an inquiring fingertip. Shina tried to explain what she had done for his benefit, but even I'm not fully sure what she meant by tapping her jewel and calling it a 'star core'. Did she mean that she had put the star into her 'core'? Hmm...
Also, when the three of us returned from the shopping about Barton that I mentioned before I discovered a note and two plushies on top of Shina's changing table...and a shimmering feather the color of fire. I could not help but look out the window I always keep open in Shina's room and smile. They must have been delivered by Dranzer, Rei's phoenix. Was the feather the creature's way of leaving a gift of its own? Shina loved the presents, immediately knowing they were from her sister. How does she do that? They are now on one of the shelves of the bookshelf I had erected for Shina earlier this morning. After all she will be getting more things as she grows, best to have a place to put them.
Time for me to go outside and train, no sense in delaying it any longer.

Did I say a lot happened yesterday? I suppose I did. Well, that's nothing compared to what happened today...
I'll start with this morning, when I was seated at my desk unable to enter trance. I had just came back from my 'farewell to the moon' dance, having postponed my rest till afterwards to stay alert by Shina's side as long as possible. I chose to not bring her with me that time, as she was blissfully sleeping snuggled up next to Alimus on top of my coverlet.
On a side note, I truly do love the qualities Shina has brought out in my Alimus. He's always been a protective and loving friend, but never before have I seen him adopt another into his heart as much as she other than myself. She also seems to have a soothing effect on everyone in the house that she comes into contact with, beginning with Cyoro and even now Calavel. This child that I have been blessed with the care of seems to open up hearts as if encouraging the petals of flowers in spring to slowly bloom, only she does it with a mere touch of her gentle fingers.
Ah, I apologize for rambling. As I was saying, I was sitting there and staring down at you, dear diary, going over my past entries. The one about our shared nightmare, Shina and myself, in particular. I had already vowed to get my fa'e a companion of her own to be with her when I could not, a being she could call all her own now that her Dratheen was with Rei. Sadly I couldn't think of a place that I could go to get the perfect one for Shina. I stayed that way for over an hour, my chin in the palm of my hand as I stared down at the writings I had penned before till the words no longer made sense and were simply a blur of ink and paper. I finally decided that just lurking there wasn't doing me any good what-so-ever and got up and went to get my things. I'd go to the Fa'e HQ and contact someone there, perhaps the others would have some notion of what would be best. Alimus heard me moving about and lifted his head, asking to go with me through our link. Now I was in a quandry, as I wanted someone that Shina was familar with to be with her as I was gone. I wanted her new pet to be a surprise, and present it to her later when I got home. Cyoro saved me, again, showing up at my door to ask me a question about breakfast. Namely if I wanted any. She volunteered to watch after Shina, but only after I ate something. How could I turn down Cyoro's kind offer....or her blackberry pancakes?
After breakfast I was off with Alimus at my side and hopefully enough gold to purchase whatever pet was suggested by the other fa'e Guardians. I found myself actually hurrying to reach the HQ, a sense of urgency gripping my mind. When I arrived I found Kaekia already within the welcome room. I still wonder if something within me realized that Kaekia would be leaving the HQ soon, thus causing me to hurry? I suppose I will never know. Not long after Kaekia had greeted me and I had told her of my problem, little Hoshi entered the room carrying a tiny mostly white ball of fur he claimed told him was called 'Daedrim' only to hand it to me.

Now here, diary, is where I had to lift my brow. Daedrim is an elven name, it translates to 'white flyer'. I have never seen a creature such as this one before..he is much like a cat with tiny feathered wings and a draconic tail. Who had named him? As if in answer to my question Cyoro called my name, appearing in the entryway to the welcome room with Shina in her arms holding her stuffed bunny to her chest. Hoshi lit up like the night sky and toddled over to Cyoro to call up to Shina, who looked delighted in return. The bond between these two is growing stronger even with just these brief moments of contact...it makes me wonder for their future. Sadly Kaekia and Hoshi could not stay for long, leaving Shina with myself and Alimus...and her newfound friend. She spoke Daedrim's name slowly, but as if she knew it already. Could she perhaps...no, was such a thing possible?
Ah, pardon me diary, but Alimus says that the 'boys' are fighting again. I'll explain more when I return.
