Mordath
*Mordath had just returned to his safehouse once more for the evening, and smiled as things seemed to be neatly falling into place... almost too neatly. However, he chastized himself that he would not let himself worry about such things as his plans going TOO smoothly unless something concrete emerged that justified his anxiety. Things were just about to the point where he could let them progress on their own for some time - which would allow him more than enough time to return to Gaia, where time moved much faster by comparison... and, of course, see Astaroth. His thoughts were just wandering to PurrPurr, and wondering how her journey was progressing when he began to feel the tingling sensation that indicated a communicatory spell - and given his wards, that could only mean it was PurrPurr or Astaroth via the mirror. He settled himself into his chair and waved his hand, opening the channel, the image coalescing in front of him.

Purr
Purr's face emerged on the mirror. While it looked as though she had tried to compose herself, it was obvious she had been crying. "I want to go home!" she demanded as soon as Mordath's face became visable to her. It was more of a desperate plea, than a impatient demand.

Mordath
*mordath blinked in surprise. This was his first contact with her since they had arrived, and he had not expected tears. He leaned forward, concerned, and debated on asking her the full story immediately* Are you hurt, PurrPurr...? I have been making preparations myself... and for now my work here is complete...

Purr
Purr took a deep breath. "I'm okay. I'm just very ready to go home. Things did not go well for me here. There were some... unexpected complications."

Mordath
*He frowns, and nods slowly* That is fine - I am ready to leave here for a time. There is not much more that I can do personally. I... am sorry to hear that things did not go well.

Purr
Purr sighed, running her slender fingers through her hair. "Where shall we meet? On the hill were we parted ways?"

Mordath
*Mordath nodded* If it is not too far from you. I dare not enter the seelie kingdom just yet - I do not wish for my presence to be detected by them just yet.

Purr
"Understood. How long will it take you to get there? It will only take me a few hours on horseback."

Mordath
It shall take me almost no time at all *Mordath replied with a sly smirk*

Purr
"Fine. See you in a few hours then." Purr shoved the mirror back in her bag. She hurridly gathered her thins from the inn room she had stayed in last night and paid the propieter. She mounted Avalon, and quickly headed out of town towards the hill overlooking the castle.

Mordath
*mordath cut the connection and looked about the shack, quickly picking up any of the things that he had brought with him, and erasing any evidence that the place had been used this century. Finally, stepping out, he cast a spell to replace the layers of dust that had once coated the objects of the room, and doublechecked his wards before summoning his magic, and stepping into the black gateway that sprung open in front of him... finding himself stepping forth on the hillside. He knew that PurrPurr would be some time in coming... and so spent the time doing one last thing. Turning to a patch of shadow at the base of a tree, he called out to Tslanak. Within moments, a large, dark, lupine shape emerged from the path, and bowed to his master*

"Tslanak - you have been serving me well these past weeks, and now, I am to return to Gaia for some time. However, it is imperative that my work continue in my absence here, and that I maintain a connection to this land to moniter. I wish for you to remain behind, and to see to it that things move as I wish for them to - and to contact me if something goes wrong."

*Tsnalak looked up at Mordath, startled for a moment, and then bowed deeper, humbly* "If it is as the master wishes... then it shall be so. But I... regret not coming with you... to protect you better, Master"

"You shall do better to protect my plans here, Tslanak. This is no punishment, but a vital job."

*With that, the wolf bowed again, and slid around Mordath, bidding farewell, and good luck, and slipped off into the darkness*

Purr
About an hour later, Purr could be seen riding up the hill mounted on a magnificent unicorn mare- white coated, with ebony black main and tail, and a crystal horn perched on her forehead. Purr herself was shrouded in a hiding hood over the outfit Mordath had made for her when she arrived.

Mordath
*Mordath stood, wearing simple clothing himself, and stood in the shadow of a copse of trees. He did not hide the surprise on his features as he saw her riding a unicorn, and he wondered how, given the magnificient mount, her time here could have been so bad...*

Purr
Purr smiled a weary smile when she saw Mordath. She dismounted quickly and approached him. She threw her arms around him, burying her head in his shoulder. Mordath was the only person left in the realm she felt she could trust. His presence only reminded her how much she ached to return home

Mordath
*Mordath stiffened for a moment and then his body relaxed as he gently patted her on the back* It's alright, Purr... I... I don't know what happened, but very few will be able to guess where you are when you leave, and even fewer able to follow. I can take you home, and I will go with you.

Purr
"I don't know what to do from here." she muffled into his shoulder. "Things have gotten so complicated"

Mordath
*Mordath nods* This realm is full of ... complications *his eyes narrow* I hope that, at least, you have found the answers here that you sought. I can take us home with just a few words, Purr - if you are prepared...?

Purr
She pulled back and nodded. "Can she come, too?" she asked, pointing to the mount.

Mordath
*Mordath looked over, and his brows nitted for a moment in calculation, and then slowly nodded* Given Gaia's ..... unique magical situation, she should have no problem there. And my spell should be able to bring her as well - especially since Tslanak is staying behind.

Purr
Purr gave a weary took over to the wolf lurking in the shadows of the tree. Though Mordath swears his bond to Arkoth was severed, she still never fully trusted his "loyal" companion. "Thank you," she muttered. "I'm ready."

Mordath
*mordath nodded and first walked over to the unicorn, tracing strange shapes in the air with his finger, and led her closer to the pair of them. Sliding his eyes closed, he began to whisper a chant as the air around them started to tingle with a magickal charge. The voice got louder, echo-y, and the air began to ripple and sway - the landscape becoming indistinct, and a wave of nausea passed over Purr and her mount. Vision blurs, and colors all around them began to bleed and melt together.... then there was the sensation of changing air pressure - popping ears, and the sudden loss, and regaining of solid land. Slowly, vision settles, and the landscape reforms. Once again, there is green grassy hills... but the feel is different - the colors, while still bright and colorful are muted compared to the land there were in just moments ago. And, as things settle down, the landscape of the North of Barton, and Lake Basskin resolve*
