Welcome to Camp Jupiter!

Camp Jupiter is a camp designated to protect the children of the Roman gods and there legacies. The Roman demigods and Legacies know the gods by their Roman counterparts. Its entrance is a service tunnel near the main Caldecott Tunnel in San Francisco. The current two Praetors are Flinch and Thyra.

This camp is a small city referred to as "The Twelfth Legion" or New Rome. It is run by the Camp Centurions and the Praetors.

"Aut vincere aut mori. Conquer or Die."

Rules for Camp Jupiter!

In order to attend Camp Jupiter, you must be descended from a Roman God, either by being the child of one or a grandchild of one.
Your profile must follow Guild Rules and these Guidelines in this thread.

All campers are required to serve at least 10 years in the Legion before they can retire to life in New Rome, where they can live life and study at the university.
As we do play out he seasons in this guild, your character will age up and be able to retire, 6 months is equal to one year in this guild.

You may not select your cohort or the God who will be your character's parent. Crew will decide that based off the Profile.
Once your Profile is Vouched for (Crew has posted stating what Cohort you are a member of) You are accepted and able to role play throughout the camp. Legionnaire and below (members currently serving their ten years) are normally not allowed to Enter the city, except for special events.
If you need to edit, a post will be made in your profile telling what is the required changes.

Profile Skeleton

We're pretty strict about the way a profile skeleton looks. We do prefer the use of our skeleton, you may add color, symbols, and make it appear fancier, as long as it remains the same format. Remove the parenthesis and everything in between them when you're done, please.

The Crew holds the right to accept or deny anybody. Please make sure you follow the rules when applying.

Post the profile as your own thread in the Profiles with your character's name as the title. The crew will try very hard to get you accepted within a day or two.

Do not bump your thread.

After You post the Profile, please be sure to do the Roleplay Senerio Guidelines.

Roleplay Senerio Guidelines
This will help us decide what Cohort to put you in, as well as who your godly parent is.
Below in a separate post you will roleplay how your character get from Lupa's training in the Wolf House to the Coldecott Tunnel entrance. This can be in the past or it can be in the present. It can be any time in their journey. Remember the more creative you are the more helpful you are to us.

E.g. It is the second day of your journey to find the Legion's base. Your camping out in the woods, when a monster attacks. How will you defeat it?
Or
Maybe you've just started your journey that night and you encounter your first obstacle...what is it? What do you do?
Or
You've finally made it to camp...What happens then?

-Do not use your posting design or format-
-Do not auto-claim. Aka, don't put down that Lupa told me I was the son of blah blah. Unless your a legacy, which means you might have any power.-
-Do not god-mod-
-Do be creative. Any monster can chase you, so fill free to pick.-

So you want to join the legion? Yet you aren't sure of how the system works. Well here is a helpful guide to help you along with your decision.

New Recruits
Age Standard
8-12
A new Recruit is someone how has not only managed to survive Lupa's training, but also get to camp on their own. Each future recruit must go through this, but even then you aren't a full member of the legion.

First you must have an audience with the Augur. Who will decide whether you are fit to be part of the Legion. -No not like a medical examination-

Then you will be asked to present either your recommendation letter or have a member of the Legion vouch for you. If no one does, then you are still considered a recruit and will simply work for the Legion.

However if you do get either of those. Then your on...

Probatio
Age Standard
10- ...

Probatio, or Testing, is the time when most wanna-be legionnaires want to hide under a blanket. Basically your words mean nothing. You can't vouch, you can't lead a quest, or even be considered a full member of the Legion. You are though at the beck and call of any officer. So leader of the Cohorts or the Praetors can tell you do to basically anything.

So how do you move up? You can either wait a year or you can prove your worth. This is done through acts of valor, proving yourself during War Games, or in an actually battle. If you do any of those things than you are actions are judged by the Praetors and if they think you are worthy, you are made a...

Legionnaire
Age Standards
11-....

Although an official name for these demigods has not been found, the legionnaires are those who have passed Probatio and are now official members of Fulminata! You can vouch for a new comer, you can run for the position of Praetor, or leader of your cohort (in either of those case, you must be chosen by those you wish to lead more of that later). You are even able to push around Probatio and New recruits! This is level everyone should be, and very much wants to be. You get your SPQR tattoo, you can go on quest, lead quest, go on missions. Basically anything. It is at this level that you can decide what part of the cohort you want to fill. Some want to medics, others want to be standard bearers. Everyone though is a solider of the Legion.

Centurion
Age Standards
14-....

The next step up the ladder. Centurions are the leaders of their cohorts. Normally paired up, these people dictate what their legionaries do and are responsible for their actions. It's a tough job but it can be very rewarding. Are you up for the challenge?

So that is that. Those are all the positions. Wait? Your confused. When do godly parents come into play?

Never.

Even if your a child of Mars, you still have to prove yourself worthy of your station. Nothing is handed over simply due to your godly parent. Just like your godly parentage doesn't hinder you. Some in the Legion don't even come directly from a godly parent. They are what we call Legacies. Those who are descendants of those of godly parentage. Basically your father, or grandfather, or great great great great great grandmother could be a demigod and you could still be part of the Legion. Sweet huh?

Not really. Cause no matter who your godly connection is, your status hinges on you and what you can do. So don't screw up.
