Professor: Anton Wulfram Elroark
Description: In this class, we will be learning how to alter the physical forms of both inanimate and animate objects through the reordering of their molecular structures. This includes Transformation, Vanishment, Conjuration, and Untransfiguration.

-----At the corner of the first floor corridor, students were lining up before an ancient arched doorway, waiting animately for class to begin. The minute time was up, the door flew open to emit a powerful whiff of peppermint and to reveal a largely elliptical room illuminated by the afternoon light flooding in from the high windows (the windows being situated so well beyond reach that the ordinary daydreamer could not stare absentmindedly out of a window---instead, they would find themself staring at the marble pillars that flanked the lower circumference of the classroom). The source of the peppermint scent was clear: sitting in-between each pillar were small pots of the peppermint plant.
-----At the far end of the classroom, Professor Elroark sat silently behind a large spindle-legged desk, watching with gimlet eyes as his students filed in slowly, taking up the seats before him until all the rows of desks were occupied. Or at least he had hoped it to be the case. He knew that there would always be one hopeless cause trying to slip in late, and so for that very reason, he had bewitched the door to break into a rather embarassing song whenever such a fool would try to slip in unnoticed. Every minute, every second counts, Professor Elroark had warned his students on the very first day of class. A life may very well depend on it. And he bore his cool eyes into every student as if to hot-brand the notion into every impressional mind he could reach.
-----The professor had such a serious demeanor, such a forceful - deliberate - raspy voice, that whenever he demanded attention, silence erupted instantly and the atmosphere fell like a somber veil.
-----"...For the most part, I would like to see myself as a fair professor. I do not play favorites and I want to see to it that every one of you leave my classroom having learned not only the art of Transfiguration, but also of self-discipline. Moreover, need you require extra help, I would be more than delighted to offer you my service."
-----Pausing, the professor attempted an ambiguous stoop. It was unclear whether he was making a polite bow or was deciding momentarily to start pacing the classroom (as he always strode with a hunch). But then he took to sliding his hands into his pants pockets instead. With a slight shudder, he observed quietly, "It is rather chilly in here, is it not?"
With a flick of his wand, all the windows slid shut.
"Now, without further ado, let today's lesson commence."
