I'm still editing this, Teachers and Classes but the shack is open !
Hello and Welcome To The Janitor's Shack !
My name is Dado and I'm the Janitor of The University Of Gaia. I'm here to keep things clean and simple. I also made this thread to help you out here at your University. Because Gaia doesen't allow a Janitor title here in the Guilds I'm a Vice Captain. I have been here for a long time. My old account was Dedrivuddand Digital Evil and then I changed to this and the guild has been dead for a while and now I'm back trying to bring spme life in it. Anyway I hope you find my thread usefull and helpfull becuase that is the point of this thread. Please read everything before asking questions. It took me hours to finish this so it won't be much if you spend few minutes of your time to read this.

- Rules Of The University -
1. Read The Rules.
2. Read The ToS.
3. Don't flame anyone.
4. Don't strech the page if possible.
5. Don't tempt anyone in a argument.
6. Don't write any n00b/chat or net-talk in the main forum of the Guild. You can do it only in the Chatty Caffee forum.
7. Be an active member of one class at least. If you don't, you'll been: first warned and second expelled from the guild.
Keep in mind all the costs to run this guild are payed by Ninamarth (teachers and staff salaries and prizes for best teacher and trivias), and all the students have scholarship, so students really need to take the classes.

- What Is The University -
The University of Gaia (U.O.G.) is a guild that is trying to help Gaians learn some new languages. This whole idea was created by Ninamarth. There is only one other Guild like this and it charges you money to get to learn new languages and skills. Here Ninamarth will give her own gold to pay the teachers so you just have to sing up for a class and be there !

Class: Historical and Cultural Japan
Teacher: Saknika
Description: Explore the Japanease history with Saknika !

Class: Macromedia Flash and SWF animation: The Basics
Teacher: Ninamarth
Description: On this course you will learn how to create and modify simple and complex animations using Flash's drawing tools, how to use keyframes and motion tweening for efficient frame by frame animation, create complex animated movies with sounds and how to export your movie.

Class: Japanese courses - 101 - Reading and transcriptions
Teacher: Vilya
Description: This course will revolve around transcriptions. It's objective is for you to familiarize with the kana (japanese sylables) before begining wirting and pronouncing them, and before moving into words and speech organization.

- How To Apply For A Teacher -
To join the UOG as a teacher you have to fill a form and send it to Digital Evil or Ninamarth. Please use the form and be polite. Tell as much as possible of yourself. We will reply with few questions before deciding. I suggest you pm me so that Ninamarth has a bit of free time on the few times shes on Gaia. Give her some rest. Anyway please fill out the form and pm it to me (or Ninamarth) !

Why would you like to join that Class : I'm really intrested in that language and I want to join to learn it. Finnish is not so known language so it's good to know some of it.

What are your motives to study this language: My parents want me to learn finnish
How long will you take part in the class: Till I finish the Basic Course.

- The Absent List -
The absent list is a list of people who have told me that they will be off the Guild for a while because of some l reason. If you are taking a break from the guild please pm me about it ! There is not form needed.

- Teachers Duties -
If you request to be a teacher it means that you have readed and accepted your duties ! Please read the duties below.
- You must keep the Thread alive and up for the time we agreed.
- You must give the homework on time.
- You must check the homework.
- You must make a final test and give it to the students.
- You must give grades to the students.
- You must tell us if you won't be online for a while.

- Students Duties -
As stated before taking courses here at UOG is completly free ! This doesen't mean that you can do what you want. We have few rules for students here. The won't be listed as normal rules but I will write them here. I will also bold the most important parts so you don't miss them ! We here at UOG are ready to help you with the best we can but we wish that you read this post. First I want to tell you that when you join a class you must stay active in the class untill it ends ! You can only take part in a limited ammount of classes so that other have a chance to join classes too ! In this case you can only join 3 classes at once ! This way teachers don't have too much work and everyone can attend to a classs. Active in a class mean that you must do your homework, read the lesson and post in it ! The two most important things are to do your homework and to attend to the final test and possibly other tests ! If you are caugh of cheating you will be permently banned from the guild ! If you feel that you have been banned for no reason you may pm Digital Evil. Take time and have fun on the classes ! if you have problems with homework read the next post ! We would also be grateful if you could post around the University in the cafe and in other chat threads !

Are you a hard workin student ? Are you in need of help in your homework ? Then read this post to learn how to get help in your homework ! To request help in homework you need to Pm the teacher of the class and explain her what help and why do you need help. If the teacher replys that, it isn't possible use the form below to ask for help ! We hope you all get the help you need ! heart

- How To Help The University -
As every guild we could use some help keeping the guild active ! There is one thing you all can do to help us and motivate us ! and that is that you stay very active around here ! Other ways to help us are sending us donations to our dear mule The U.O.G. Accountant ! This way we can pay our teachers and give prizes and trhow events for our dear users ! heart We accept anything that is not stolen or scammed wink Thank you all who have helped us ! heart

- Salarys -
As stated few times before our teachers have now salarys and still the guild is completly free ! The teachers salarys are agreed with each teacher personally. Please do no talk about your salarys in the guild, if you have something to complain about please send me a pm !
