Intelligence: 8 Harem:History and Personality:Glósóli has spent a large part of his life in captivity. As such, the only deer he has ever felt close to is his sister Sesilída, of whom he is extremely protective. She is his first priority at all times (except Anlach...) While he loves his sister dearly, he is beginning to grow fond of other members of the herd, and takes his duty as an Outrider seriously. He is also hoping to start a family come next Anlach, and has had his eye on a few cows.Other Herla:Sesilída: What would I do without her? <3

Intelligence: 6 Harem of:History and Personality:Ragwort is a curmudgeon, plain and simple. Born to a rather attractive hind, and a large, plain stag she has clearly inherited her father's rough appearance. As a fawn she did get her fair share of teasing, but in reality it was likely no more than any other young deer. Still, she took the insults to heart and over time she grew distant from her fellow fawns and calves. This was not helped by her curiosity in her youth resulting in her losing part of an ear to a fox. She grew even more self conscious about her appearance, and as the young prickets (in her eyes) abandoned their female friends to join the Corps, her fate was sealed. She is very slow to like or trust any other deer. She claims all stags are self-centered morons who only care about Anlach, and all hinds are air-headed chatterboxes. She does have a very clear soft-spot for fawns, and as much as she tries to push others away, she rarely bothers to hide this particular fondness.
She has only ever stood with a stag at Anlach once; a bit of a brute called Spartacus. Whether consciously or subconsciously, there are at least some similarities to Ragwort's sire Oich, something she always claimed she would avoid. The coupling resulted in a calf and a fawn: Faskally and Coruisk. Knowing the boy would one day join the Corps, Ragwort never allowed herself to grow as attached to him as to Coruisk. In fact she's rather overbearing towards her daughter, who is now grown and should have fawns of her own.
Ragwort is getting on in years now, so she's likely too old for any more fawns, but hopefully one day she'll make a friend who'll help her mellow out a bit. Herne knows she needs it.Other Herla:Coruisk: I just hope she doesn't fall for some stupid stag. (She needs some fawns of her own, though...)
Faskally: Don't see much of him, these days.
Spartacus: Don't like him much, but he gave me Coruisk and Faskally.

Intelligence: 7 Harem:History and Personality:The herd into which Starfell was born was large, and as such he was very well protected. He had a loving mother and father, and many other calves and fawns to play with. He always knew he'd grow up to be an Outrider, with calves of his own someday. Maybe even a Captain, or Lord of the Herd.
When he finally became an Outrider, his aspiration was suddenly called into question. He met another young stag, new to the herd, who had previously been a rogue. Starfell and this stag became friends, and over he learned about the new stag's previous herd. It had been much smaller, without enough Outriders to protect them. They had been frequently preyed upon by wolves, foxes, and man. The stag had left to find somewhere more secure to live.
In light of this new information, Starfell couldn't help but distance himself from his former friend. To abandon a herd in need was cowardly. In fact, the longer Starfell mulled over this information, the more he realized that his own herd was in fact overcrowded. Perhaps he could do what his friend had been unable to. After some months of indecision, he finally struck out on his own to seek a herd where he was needed.
While strong enough to hold his own, he was unprepared for the reality of life as a rogue after his (relatively) pampered upbringing. Intelligence: 5 Harem:History and Personality:Dáire is a stag who has never known the comforts of herd life; he was born to a rogue hind. She had left her herd to pursue a rogue stag, who stood with her once before simply leaving. Believing her herd wouldn't accept her back with a rogue's offspring, she remained alone so she could raise the calf.
The two Herla had to be fiercely protective of one another, and intensely alert at all times. Unfortunately their watchfulness failed them one day, as Dáire's mother was killed by human hunters. He was a young buck by that time, and just old enough to fend for himself. While there have been occasions when he has shared the company of fellow Herla for a time, he never allows it to be long enough to grow attached. His mother was the first, last, and only Herla who has ever mattered to him, and he intends to keep it that way.

Intelligence: 8 Harem:History and Personality:Herd life never sat right with Heath. It made him restless, from the time he was a pricket. Knowing that life would basically always be the same; the same hinds and stags, the same stories, fighting the same stags every Anlach, even just guarding the same hills and valleys. The idea of it bored him. He wanted nothing to do with it, or the responsibility of looking after the rest of his herd. So once he'd grown into his antlers, he left.
He struck out without any real direction except the all important: away. Over the years since he left his herd, he's run into his fair share of deer. Both rogues and other herds. He learned to lie and to fight so he could stay with a herd, but only ever for a short time. Sometimes he came from a herd that had been hunted nearly to extinction by men, other times he was the son of a deposed Lord of the Herd who'd had to flee. He would stay and eat their food and help guard their hinds and calves, and then one day they woke to find he'd disappeared.
This was not without its perils, however. The second time he tried it, he was caught by an Outrider as he fled. His antlers were still in velvet, the Outrider's weren't. Heath's left antler was cracked and broken in the scuffle before he managed to get away. He has since learned the value of stealth.
It's been several years since the rogue stag left his original herd, and while he's getting on a bit, he's still quite strong and healthy, and looking to meet interesting hinds or stags (as long as they don't want to try his antlers again), and to hear (and maybe even become) a good story or two.Other Herla:Naija: [forming an opinion!]Events:March 20, 2011: Birthday.
