The islands of Lavarin...

... originally was a group of small islands sitting in the middle of presumably nowhere - there were no records of their existance, name, and even name of the ocean surrounding them were not known. So, it is safe to assume these islands were isolated from the rest of the world. Or that they were in a totally different world altogether.

It was recently discovered that the creatures living on these islands are not much different than the ones found on Earth, despite some physical differences. Something surprising about these critters were the fact that they love lava lamps, and are attracted to the lamps like moths to light. Unlike moths though, each critters have their own color preferences, and no same lamps attract the same creature...

Well, almost.

16 July '06 - The shop is currently on hiatus. Both Silencer and Xiao Ling are busy with finals/exams.

19 May '06 - Flatsale on this Friday at 7 pm EST. This flatsale will be a regular flatsale. Several equus and canids will be up for grabs.

22 Aug '05 - Flatsale for eight pendants, seven of which were colored by Xiao Ling.

21 July '05 - Auction for a specially drawn equus elder lineart set.

20 July '05 - Silencer is currently questing, and for that, an auction will be put up to fund it. Consists of a special 6 staged equus, unique lineart. Did I say it's the first LL elder?

22 June '05 - Started a new thread, again -.o; Gaia won't let me access the previous Little Lavas' front page, so here we are.

05 June '05 - Grand reopening flatsale. A total of 20 special semi-custom pendants(leading to adult Lavas) for sale; owners get to choose color of pendant goop and two colors for their Lava.
- Flatsale over, and successful.

04 June '05 - Grand reopening.

21 May '05 - Added species shadows, and blue-gooped lavalamp pendant. Also finished with new adult canid linearts; infant and youngster stages sketched. Same goes for infant equus lineart.
Equipments/accesories inked.
Coloring some canids and equus for Grand Reopening flatsale.

18 April '05 - After a long time of idling, added in the rules section. Also redoing canid linearts, and a possibly dragonlike critter. Pondering on renaming all of the Lavarin inhabitants.

Date forgotten - New thread set up. A few days later, new banners up. A few weeks later, added in some contents.

1. Behave yourselves, and be nice to each other
2. Mind your language -nod-
3. Don't steal the lineart and call them your own
4. Don't ask questions that are already answered in the FAQ
5. Don't annoy Silencer. You'll regret you ever do
6. DO NOT ever ask/hint if/when/whether Ivorn Ridgebacks will be released/sold. I have a lot of people asking me about them, and it is getting rather annoying. So don't. Unless you're willing to pay 200k for one >P

_____Flatsale Rules_____

1. Only post your order when I say "GO!" in bolded, green letters
2. Please, please don't ever edit your posts. You'll be disqualified if anything at all is edited, even minor spelling errors. We're watching you...
3. Oh yes. Only one pendant per person, please :3
4. Send the trade only after I've confirmed the winners. All trades before that will be ignored, and left to rot.
5. Be a good sport if you don't manage to get a critter. Don't howl about not getting one

_____Custom Rules_____

1. Only order a custom when customs are open. Check the Availability section for more info
2. Fill out the custom form properly, and state clearly which type of custom you're going for (eg. lon lineart edit, adult only)
3. PM all custom orders to Little_Lavas! I can't stress this enough. Don't post it in the thread. Nor PMed to Xiao Ling or Silencer Wolf, unless otherwise stated.
4. Send trade with the right amount of gold, again, to Little_Lavas(unless, again, otherwise stated). All trades made to Silencer Wolf and Xiao Ling will be ignored, and you will not get your pet. You have been warned.
5. Re-confirm your trade, and wait patiently for your Lava. It may take some time, but we promise you the highest possible quality

Nope, but Silencer will love you if you do. Also, there are plans for special rewards for frequent RPers, such as familiars and other things which are currently being thought up.

Sure, no problem. Though, if Silencer feels lazy suddenly and loses her mood to color the rest of your Lava stages, you might not get them. It's just a probability though ' v '

Though it's gonna be somewhat rare, as I'm not going to release much to be fair to those who were here last Christmas(2004).
Oh yes, and trade ridgebacks have a different lineart. Story to come later -nod-

. Canids are... well, the canine inhabitant of Lavarin.
. Males sport a row cartilageous ridges along their back, making them easily told apart from females, which have a row of long, thicker mane down their back.
. Canids pups are roughly the size of your average puppies.
. Adults are about the size of your average Irish Wolfhound. Though much smaller individuals can be found, larger ones are rarely found*

. Equus are, obviously, equine inhabitants of Lavarin.
. There aren't much differences between genders - males have shorter mane and a more muscular build than females but, other than that, both are almost equal.
. Adult equus range from 12-13 hands at the withers, though larger individuals may be found*

. Named after the the row of ivory ridges along the spine, ivorn ridgebacks are the only known dragon inhabitant of Lavarin to be found so far.
. The few wild ridgebacks on Lavarin are... well, wild, and highly territorial. They reside only on the three mountain-islands in the middle of Lavarin. No living soul has ever returned from a 'visit' there - not even Silencer dares to set foot on them.
. 'Tame' ridgebacks were put up for adoption for fear of their safety during the Christmas Secret Santa Event, 2004. These are mostly mild mannered and gentle, making them, quite unlike their wild counterparts, perfect(if not large) family pets. (unless the owners decide otherwise)
. Adults stand at around 4 feet at the withers, and 20-30 feet from nose tip to tail tip.

. Rhancodenus, or more commonly known as rhancoderons, are not originally inhabitants of Lavarin. These nomadic creatures travel in pods with up to 25 to 30 individuals, led by a matriarch. Adult males travel in their own little group (usually not more that 5), though a very rare few may lead a pod of females.
. Rhancodenus are most comfortable in the seas, though some may hang around on land which are near bodies of water. Overall, sightings on rhancos are not a common sight.
. Adults range from 3-4 feet tall, and around 8-10 feet from nose tip to tail tip. Males are either the same size as females, or slightly smaller. Larger males are rare.

* early Lavas(hatched from Lava Lamps) are smaller in size, or miniatures.

Rare, special...etc critters will be auctioned off to the public. There won't be much auctions though, as Silencer doesn't really like them.

- All auctions start off with a starting bid of 5000g with a minimum increment of 100g. Exceptions apply.

The one other way to get a custom lamp is customising your own.

Little Lavas Breeding

Once a full-grown adult, you may choose to breed your pet/critter/Lavas. Canids normally have anywhere from two to six offsprings, while equus normally give birth to two - three, in rare cases.
- Breedings normally take a week.

Owners may choose either to keep the offsprings for themselves, or give them away to friends. They may also choose to sell/raffle/auction off the young.
Owners will get 50% of the price sold, to be divided equally among both parties (25% each).

Now, onwards.

- There will be a 3000g breeding fee - 1500g from each owner.
- Please ensure an open breeding slot is available before requesting to breed your /pet/critter/lavas, then both owners(unless both critters belong to one owner) must post in the thread with the form below:
