~ Welcome to the StarDust Facility and Desert Harvesting Area, the savannah community where 80% of all stardust has fallen from space. Dustling Dragons are collected, raised, and bred here, as well as the occasional Comet Serpent and StarFox. Many owners have taken residence here, and it has become one very big town. We'd love it if you stopped in, and listened to the StarDust story.

When a wish is made upon a star, it stays with the star until the star falls. When the falling star shoots across the sky, it trickles dust down into our atmosphere. Our Facility set itself around the area where the magical, shimmering piles of dust seem to be attracted to, so we could study it further.

However, after each lovely little pile of StarDust was collected and watched over by a lab assistant, something completely unexpected happened. After about a week of love and attention, a little feathery head would pop out of the dust, yawn, and cry for food. This sent the assistants into a panic, until they realized they could do no harm to their "mommies".

The lab assistants also realized the little feathery dragons would grow, and grow, and grow, until they were the size of Great Danes. The piles of powder gathered all over the "gardens" of the Facility, and we soon had to turn commercial and sell the piles off to worthy owners of the new "pets". However, each owner would be strongly urged to try and decipher what the wish was that gave their Dustling life.

Comet Serpents were then accidentally discovered by dropping stardust into liquid. Star Foxes, on the other hand, shot down from space all on their own as little tiny crystalized balls of ice and rock. Who knew the little ball held a fox inside? We sure didn't.

Now, with so many people to help us raise these creatures, the StarDust Facility Lab is indeed thriving with love, drama, and action.

+ What do StarDust pets eat?
-Anything you want them to eat. Make it interesting. A veggie-freak, a garbage disposal , it's up to you.
+ Can Dustling Dragons/Foxes/Serpents talk?
-No, they cannot speak human languages as of yet. However, a carefully nurtured pet will be able to talk to its owner through strong facial expressions and gestures. They can speak to each other and serpents/foxes.
+ What happens when the dust in the dustpan is scattered?
-The dust will reform itself under normal circumstances, much like the baddie from the Terminator (2?) movie. xd
+ What happens if you eat the dust?
-The dust will reform still, so it'll tickle a bit but the dust will come right back out of your mouth. Don't worry, it doesn't carry any spit or stomach fluids with it-- ew.




+ You must show up at least twice a month.
It's not an RP-requirement, I just don't wanna see you drop off the face of the earth. sweatdrop If you buy one, please come back every so often to just chat or lurk or pooost. I will be warning people via PM when their dustling is about to be resold. If you do not reply for two weeks nor answer the PM, your dustling will be resold or given away-- end of story.

• ~ Reports on how Dustlings, Serpents, and Foxes breed can be found in the Guild in the Species Stories and Lineage thread. If your pet is in love, or if you wish for grandchildren, then they may breed if a slot is open. Without the aid of a special item, only adult males and females may breed. Also, no inter-species breeding may occur (besides serpent x dustling) nor related breedings. Please look at the breeding items if you're interested in breeding male x male or female x female, or dustling x serpent.

'Aged Fruit' ~ A very sweet berry that makes a dustling or comet serpent skip ahead to the adult stage no matter what stage it is currently. Cannot be used twice, cannot be reversed-- poisonous to star foxes.

'Unripe Fruit' ~ A starchy, bitter berry that makes a comet serpent, a dustling dragon, or a star fox take twice as long to grow up each stage.
Price: 2k

COLORISTS' POST!

Well, I must say I've managed to accumulate a mass of guest colorists. I've decided now I'd like to lay some rules, regulations, and suggestions down.

RULES.
1. Do not attempt to sell, raffle, or auction a pet without clearing it with me first.
2. My word is law here, so don't be angry if you color a pet for auction and I decide to keep it for a flatsale.

REGULATIONS.
1. If I do not find a pet a colorist has colored "up to par" I may not sell it, or I may edit it a tiny bit to make it sellable. I'd like to retain a certain standard of quality here.
2. Refrain from sharing my templates with others unless I know them personally.

PAYMENT.
1. Colorists will receive payment upon the sale of their pets.
2. Payment will usually be 3k if your pet was sold for 4k, 4k if your pet was sold for 5k, etc. Auctions are different.

SUGGESTIONS.
1. Add a dot of white in the corner of the eye for glare. It looks good.
2. Use a bit of your own shading and highlights, besides the template.

Store Credit:
Yay, a blank post to put Store Credit into.

Okay, so, store credit works like this. If you really like the shop, you can have a little account here by giving me gold or items ahead of time and then using it on a breeding slot, a bribed custom, a flatsale pet, or anything like that. You can also put your credit towards an auction bid that you won. Not to mention, you can also buy breeding/growth potions with store credit.

The good side to having an account is that you can gain gold to it by RP'ing or just making me happy. xp (Birthdays and page 500/600/etc. winners may get gold added too since I suck at ideas.)

Oh, and, the exchange rate is 1g for 1g of store credit. You cannot close your account and get the gold back, so be careful. You can give store credit to others if you want, too.

Halfbreed - A genetic mixture of angelic and demonic properties within one dustling dragon.

Hybrid - A genetic mixture of dustling dragon and comet serpent properties within one body.
