Spottedpath padded out into the clearing, she had a good nights sleep and was ready to attend to her duties. She looked around for another cat to talk to, but seeing no one else awake, she sat down and gave herself a bath. She swore she saw a cat leaving the warriors den... It might have been her imagination. No, it had to have been... Right?

Spottedpath wondered where her apprentice was. She wandered all over the camp looking for him, checking the Elders den, the Nursery, and the dirtplace. She paused her search for a bit to check up on Spiritkit and Frostkit. Who were, thankfully, asleep. She eventually padded over to the apprentice's den and peeked her head in to see if he was there.

Quirky Apprentice of Lotusclan My parents were kittypets...
But then we heard of them wanting to send us away...
Now were living amongst the clan cats... The nest beside him were no longer warm, causing the small gray tom to stir in his own nest. With a sleepy gaze he lifted his head, letting out a big yawn. He rested his head on his tail as he fought the sleep that threatened to claim him once more. As his eyes began to droop another yawn escaped his mouth once more. It quickly shut when the scent of his mentor wafted across his taste buds. The young tom went rigid and awoke almost instantly as he jumped from his nest. Though his fur was a mess and few tufts of fur stuck up on his head he greeted his mentor, Spottedpath with a smile. "I'm ready I was just...Uh...You know making sure my nest was clean." as if to support his excuse he swiped at some moss, though it was good moss, and pawed it front of him. "See not sleeping in, just doing some chores." he stated proudly, though he was sure his mentor could see through his lies. They loved me and my sisters greatly.
So me and my sisters came up with a great idea!

Spottedpath shook her head, and laughed at the apprentice's excuse. She flicked her tail and mewed calmly, "don't try to fool me Smokepaw. You are trying to tell me that you have been doing that since you woke up, it's mid day. I know that's how it is because I had nightshift guard duty last night and I haven't gotten any sleep yet. Let's try to get some training in, at least." She turned around, and padded towards the camp entrance, her tail swaying. She hadn't slept last night, but that was fine, her clan needed to be safe.

But then we heard of them wanting to send us away...
Now were living amongst the clan cats... He gave a quick glance to his now messy nest before he looked to her offering him a sheepish, yet charming grin as he gave a quick nod of his head. ”Yep! That’s exactly what I’m telling you.” he knew she had guessed he was lying to her but she was taking it really well. But like the kind mentor she was she seemed to take it really well. His tail waved happily in the air as he followed her out in the open ”That sounds great! But do you think I can have a small bite first.” no sooner had the words left his mouth did his stomach rumbled loud enough for her to hear it. He paused as he cast a quick glance downward before he was looking out her and spoke with a laugh. ”See even my tummy agrees that I should eat.” knowing she would probably say no to him the young tom looked up to her with wide pleading eyes, complete with a pout where his bottom lip quivered. They loved me and my sisters greatly.
So me and my sisters came up with a great idea!

Spottedpath sighed and nodded, "fine, get something to eat. No more stops or complaining though.. I'm going to check on the kits" she quickly padded over to Nursery, and looked in. She could tell by how Frostkit and Spiritkit were shivering that they were having nightmares. She quickly licked them each and purred to soothe them. It seemed to help. She padded back over to her apprentice afterwards, and was ready to go.

But then we heard of them wanting to send us away...
Now were living amongst the clan cats... His whiskers trembled with excitement as he half ran, half hopped over to the prey pile. He wasted no time as he dived for a rather plump looking mouse. He sank his teeth into the mouse and walked off to where a younger warrior was sitting eat a sparrow for himself. Smokepaw took a seat next to him as he greeted the she-cat "Hey Mapleshade! How's the warrior life." the she-cat who he spoke to lifted her head, surprise shining in those dark amber eyes. She was a rather small she-cat with light brown fur and darker brown patches. Her belly was white and she had white boots on all four paws. She gave him a warm smile as a happy purr rumbled in her throat. "It's great, you better hurry up and become a warrior yourself otherwise the nest next to me will be taken before you can." As she spoke the tom took a big bite into his mouse and using his left paw to hold it down he ripped some of the meat off and began to quickly chew. "Is that so, well you better keep it open cause soon i'll be a warrior and we'll be able to go on patrols together." Before she could speak much more he had downed the last of the mouse and dug a hole to hide the bones. Licking his lips he rose to his paws. "Sorry to eat and run but Spottedpath wants me to do some training." she gave a nod of her head and after they said their goodbyes he ran over to his mentors side to let her know he was ready. They loved me and my sisters greatly.
So me and my sisters came up with a great idea!

Spottedpath nodded, "what do you want to do today? It's up to you. Hunting or fighting practice?" her tone kind and happy. She liked actually doing something, not just being mean old Deputy.

Now were living amongst the clan cats... He paused to think, his head forward yet would tilt from one side to the other. He had done battle training yesterday against Rainpaw but then again he had done hunting the other day. After a few minutes debating Hunting finally won "Can you teach me to hunt in trees today." he asked it in an innocent way. He knew full well that they didn't really hunt in trees. But maybe if he learned a way to use his love of climbing to help his clan the others would back off and allow him to continue to enjoy his climbing. They loved me and my sisters greatly.

But then we heard of them wanting to send us away...
Now were living amongst the clan cats... The gray tom entered the camp with a sparrow and two mice dangling from his jaw. He didn't spot his mentor in the camp, he assumed she was Sunstar just how bad of an apprentice he was...again. With as much as she complains to him he should probably catch on by now that maybe the problem wasn't him and look toward his deputy. his bitter thoughts stayed with him as he lumbered over to the prey pile and placed his own upon it. He knew he was still hungry but as he gazed down upon the sparrow he had caught earlier his gut tightened and his appetite left him. He looked around the camp for any sign of his sisters, just a glance at either one of them would certainly cheer him up. Of course...They were no where to be seen. All the cats that he could see were currently keeping their distance. Maybe i'll go help the elders, listening to their stories always puts me in a better mood. with hopeful thoughts that's exactly where he disappeared to. They loved me and my sisters greatly.
So me and my sisters came up with a great idea!

Spottedpath glared at her apprentice. He always thought that she had told Sunstar about how he is a bad cat, she heard it from his mouth. She actually had never told Sunstar, unless he asked. She always hoped they could eventually see eye to eye, bet she had finally admitted defeat. She wouldn't try to help him anymore, only sit there and watch him. If he thought she wasn't smart enough to deal with him or capable enough, then he will learn. She groomed her chest fur. Then, she padded past her apprentice and whispered, "you will learn not to try me, Smokepaw" and continued on her way, not breaking her pace. There was a dangerous twinkle in her eyes, but it was hard to see.

'Look at me, trying to sneak around my own clan, for the name of starclan, I'm the clan leader!' He thought to himself, trying to hide his disappointment in himself. He neared the nursery and went in, happy to see his sister.
