Water Tribe
Waterbenders are divided mainly between the Northern Water Tribe and the Southern Water Tribe, residing in the North and South Poles respectively. There is also a much smaller Foggy Swamp Tribe, residing in the Earth Kingdom.

Earth Kingdom
The Earth Kingdom is the largest nation in the Avatar World, but also the poorest. There is a big difference between the upper class and the lower classes.

Fire Nation
The Fire Nation is regarded as the nation with the strongest military, and is the second-largest in terms of both land and population. It is a strict absolute monarchy. Its military consists of komodo rhino cavalry, armored tank units, gigantic airships, and metal warships powered by steam.

Air Nomads
The Air Nomads are a peaceful people; they do not possess a military, nor need one, as the mountains they live on provide a natural defense. The Air Nomads tend to refrain from worldly affairs and isolate themselves from the rest of the world, but there are some rebellious ones that like to travel to other places and meet new people.
