Name: Mikhael Silverwing
Age: 18
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 211 lbs.
Element: Wind
Class: Windsword
Alignment: Chaotic Good.

Personality Summary: Mikhael is the quiet type, so he can come off as cold, but, in reality, he cares greatly for those fortunate enough to be called his friends. He's a mighty warrior as well, and few people can match his speed and skill with a broadsword.

Biography:

When he was five years old, Mikhael was found wandering Air's rock as a small boy by a band of Garoan travelers.

"I remember nothing before Garoh..."

The travelers took Mikhael back to their village and brought him before the elder, who declared Mikhael a "sacred child."

"I've known for a long time that I was different from the other villagers - I was the only one who never changed during the full moon..."

Mikhael was well-loved in Garoh, despite being the only non-lycanthrope that lived in the village. Some of the men who practiced swordplay taught Mikhael what they knew, and some of the women taught him to cook - all preparing him for the day he would, inevitably, leave.

"I was treated well, even though I was different. The villagers were very friendly, and welcomed me as their own..."

After living with the lycanthropes for 13 years, Mikhael was summoned by the elder, who informed him of the circumstances of his discovery. Mikhael had always had a great power over the winds and storms, the elder said, and this great power had no place merely sitting in Garoh - Mikhael had a destiny.

"I was in shock. I had known I was different, but I had assumed that my real parents still lived in the village, or in one of the nearby villages. None of the other villagers had ever told me of my past or explained my powers to me. Now that it was all being made clear, I was being told I had to leave?"

Mikhael set out towards Vale the following day, as per the elder's suggestion. He headed east and then north, until he reached the seaside town of Heatport, where he got on a ship headed north. Now, he has arrived at a small port city, south of Ankhol...

Zet is technically a warrior type wind adept, as is technically Heather (she's more of a battle medic, though.), therefore your logic is invalid. ;3

No, Zet is a monk and Heather is a female. By warrior type I meant like Isaac, Garet, Piers, and Felix.

Also, I read through the profile rules, but I don't understand them... How much stuff can I have to start off? And is there a world information thread? I'm not sure what to put in his Bio, since I'm used to writing Alt timelines or some such fics that take place during the games.

So...because heather is a woman she can't be a warrior? That's just a little bit sexist.

In Golden Sun, A Warrior Type is someone who uses more physical psynergy and more armor than cloth and more pointy weapons than staves. Zet is more borderline that I can agree with you on, and Heather is a Warrior in a manner most like Issac ( having physical psynergy and more of a focus on physical attacks...and uses armor.) and also has minor traits of a healer (Like Issac in a sense). Menardi and Karst would also be classified as a Warrior-Type Adept in this way. Thus your argument is STILL invalid.

-does a victory dance- Anywho back to answering your questions. :3

Here is the Current Events Thread, it holds what has happened in this roleplay and includes a map. Also includes current Parties, the Time Line of the roleplay, and other such goodness.

Also, here is the Required Reading Thread, it gives you the basics of things you should know, and other helpful links.

A Narrative Bio, as stated in the Required Reading Thread, is essentially a story in first person narrative, as in your Character telling about their biography. Read the Narrative Biographies of people like Maewen or Rayl if you want to see an example.

Also I'd say given the average of all our characters levels (of those integrated into the roleplay to be exact), you should start around Probably Level 12. As for Djinn you shall start with one. Some people we let by with Two if they have a very good reason or a highly impressive profile, so I'll wait to see how your profile turns out before I decide this fully.

In terms of your equipment, we have no really limit besides logic. My Character Rayl, for example, has a fair amount of equipment, one piece is left at home, another piece got burned to a crisp, and his weapon got broken. So things can change. Also for example my other (currently Un-integrated) Character, Heather, has two sets of equipment, although only one is really battle capable. So just come up with a set and the stats and I'll judge it. :3

As for Stats...get your other stuff done first, then do that.

Just saying, it doesn't have to be written in first person. It's just a specific story that provides some in-context character development.

True but that's just how everybody's been doing it so I decided to throw him onto the bandwagon.

I am perfectly capable of throwing MYSELF onto the bandwagon, thank you VERY MUCH. SO then, what's the difference between a bio and a narrative bio?

And Karst and Mernardi were un-playable, so they don't count either. As far as PCs in the Golden Sun Universe go (pre- Dark Dawn, cause we still don't know everything about those characters) there were three PC types:

Male Casters: Ivan
Female Casters: Shiba, Jenna, Mia
Male Warriors: Isaac, Garet, Piers, Felix.

It's been theorized that in Dark Dawn a FEMALE warrior will be introduced, but until Female Warrior PCs are Game-Canon, MY LOGIC STILL STANDS. In an illogical kind of way, but that's beside the point, because now I'm being stubborn to the point of foolishness >:3

Also, I now have a Djinn, and have the Psynergy I want listed. What else do I need to do to the Psynergy?

Bio abstract is a short blurb that summarizes the character traits of your character. The narrative bio displays those traits in a short story format.

in other words, the bio itself is just a character description. It should not be a story, just more of a personality summary in paragraph form. In contrast, the narrative should be an story/tale about a time or experience of the character's past that showcases his or her abilities and personality in context.

what Kitty said...AND I'M NOT DONE ARGUING ABOUT THE SEXISM HERE, MISTER!

But mostly because your logic is invalid as this is a roleplay, not the game, but by game standards Heather, Karst, and Menardi are all warriors, and Ivan is a caster along with the others, as you cannot really seperate them into gender blurbs without being as exist pig unless Ivan was a female, in which case you'd have a strong base of support because lets face it: It's Ivan. However by the principles of game he is a man lest it's a Hsu typo, which I'm sure it's not.

Also, if Jenna is a mage, how can she become a Samurai, an otherwise warrior exclusive class? Or how Issac (and Felix) can be of the Medium Class, an otherwise mage Class? Thus females can be warrriors with class switching, and
YOUR ARGUMENT IS STILL INVALID.

As for your psynegry, it's in working order, though I always like to see PP amounts and range of targets. ;3

But back to the important things, since as of this point we're arguing a pointless battle because my logic is right, you are stubborn to the point of foolishness, and I am stubborn to the point of
USING THOR'S MIGHTY BAN HA- what's that director? Thor doesn't have a ban hammer? FINE! I'LL JUST USE CAPS LOCK TO CELEBRATE MY VICTORY!

Awwwwww, but we were having so much FUN. xd : xp . Anywho, PP amounts and Target Range, huh? Alright, I'll get on that.... right after dinner.

And as a closing note, I classify adept type by equipment, not attack - Even as a Samurai, Jenna was unable to equip heavy blades and axes, Which Felix was able to do as a Medium. THAT is what I mean when I say Warrior Type.

...Because I couldn't resist getting in one more point. xd :

Well after that you'll have to focus on stats. You will be around lvl 12, and as a warrior like Heather ( who can use long swords and heavy armor. I had to get one last point also. Henceforth I'll probably just delete this whole debate as to prevent needless continuation in political debates. ;3),

I'd say that Mikhael is more of the fast (speed) and hard (attack) type, rather than a tank (HP and Defense) like Rayl is.

I see... Yeah, that's what I figured as well.... As more of an Isaac type warrior as opposed to a Garet type. Still, What kinds of numbers should be up there? Too low, and I underpower my character. Too High, and I risk ticking everyone off.... Any examples/boundaries you can give me? I've never actually been in a stat-based RP before, other than D&D, and then you roll for it, and your stats change very little over time without items.......
PostPosted: Sun Nov 07, 2010 6:01 pm

Well Stats are more of a rough estimate of power anyways. Drake, a mars adept, is very similar to your characters rough description I believe, so try looking at his stats for inspiration (mind you hes a much higher level) and adjust accordingly by level and your own character's specifics. When I made mine for Rayl I actually just randomized everything by just spamming my numberpad, then adjusted everything accordingly to his more tankish approach ( I like to just figure him as a slower Issac with defense more like Garet.)...

...then I just dumped his stats to Heather (whom I think of as a faster Issac with a mage's defense.), and edited them to fit her description...so yeah. Get to work, CHOP CHOP! ;3 (which reminds me I have to fix some things on her profile stat-wise...that and I finally finished the narrative bio.)

EDIT: Also don't forget about custom psynergy, which is always fun to have! Just make sure to describe what it does ( and PP and range of course.)

Alright. Did the stats, taking into account his equipment. And a question about the World - is Air's Rock still near Garoh? And I probably won't do a Narrative - my first person writing tends to come out unproffesionally....
