Squad One, or Division One, is the Central Command Center of Seiretei.
Compromised of the elder Shinigami not in Captain or Lieutenant seats, some call this Squad the elite out of all the Thirteen Court Guard Squad.
As Central Command, officers often are tasked with leadership roles such a reckon leaders, ambassadors, or team leaders.
In times of peril, Squad One remains partly on the Front Lines and partly at base for base control.
The Captain-Commander is in charge of Squad One officers and often will entrust them heavier tasks to complete.

The Captain-Commander controls all affairs in Squad One
Five-En Guard
The elite task force of Squad One made up of five Shinigami with the highest skills of combat including the Commander herself.
They are the Commander's Royal Guard and take orders directly from her.
They act as sub-Captains of the Gotei 13
Record Keeping x War Time Central Base Commander
The Lieutenant of Squad One is tasked with keeping record of all events in Seiretei.
In times of war, he is in charge of the base command center making sure all Squads function uniformly.
Foreign Ambassador
The third seated officer of Squad One is tasked with being the ambassador of Seiretei if foreign civil affairs arise.
Primary Defense Force
The fourth seated officer is in charge of the defense militia in Squad One in case an intruder enters Squad One's grounds.
Compromised of the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth seats as well.

Leading the Captain and Vice-Captain Meetings
The first division's Captain and Head Captain (Captain-Commander) are the heads of the Captain and Vice Captain's meetings. The Head Captain is responsible to lead the Captain's meeting.
The Head-Captain may call a meeting at any time of the hour of the day, and all Captains are expected to attend.
The Head Captain may also usher a meeting called by another Captain as well.
The Captain will present the news to the Captains and the Head Captain, along with the other 11 Captains (excluding the Captain whom brought up the topic) will discuss the matter and find a conclusion.
The Head Captain may also exclude a meeting if she feels it is injust. Vice Captain meetings are not as important as Captain meetings.
The Captain will inform the Vice Captain (of Squad 1) and the Vice Captain will alert the matter at hand to the Vice Captains in the meeting room.
The Vice Captain meetings are usually gathered because the Captains are busy with other matters.
Leader of the Army
The Head Captain is in charge of all final war matters. The Head Captain is the final word for war.
She also leads the army of the Gotei 13 on the battle front. The Head Captain is charged with insuring the health of the Gotei 13 as well.
The Head Captain, believing in the face of death to sacrifice one self in an emergency, is charged with making the final move to protect Soul Society.
The Head Captain is in charge of leading the war, if every other captain is busy, the Head Captain is in charge of defeating the enemy head on.
Election to the Royal Guard
The Head Captain is placed in charge of reccomending a Captain into the Royal Guard.
Oken Where Abouts
The only one in Soul Society that knows the location of the Ōken is the Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13, which is currently Kokoro no Tennyou; the location is passed on verbally from generation to generation of Captain-Commander,
and there is no document containing where it is located.

"I, a Shinigami of the Royal Soul Community of Soul Society, do solemnly swear to uphold all laws of the Seireitei, and to ensure that my being is not swayed by evil, and protect Soul Society from all evil, and pledge on my life to never cross the line of betrayal. I swear to serve under my Captains and Captain-Commander, and never speak out of line when addressing so said members. I pledge to protect the Soul King to the depths of my final breathe, and pledge my Zanapkuto in the name of Soul Society, and Soul Society only, so help me God. "
Zanapkuto Laws ❀
• A Shinigami shall not raise his/her blade to a Captain, or commanding officer is acts of treason.
• Two Shinigami deemed with the same Zanapkuto must duel to the death until a winner is decided.
• A Shinigami should never kill the innocent, unless declared by a commanding authority (Central 46).
• A Shinigami that has achieved Bankai and is a un-seated officer must face a equivalence test to move up in the ranks.
• A Shinigami who does not know Shikai cannot achieve a seated chair in Squad one.
• If a Shinigami of Squad one is to attack the Captain-Commander, they are to be struck down immediately.
• If a Shinigami's Zanapkuto spirit were to rebel, then the Shinigami and his/her Zanapkuto are to be destroyed.
Behavioral Laws: ❀
• A Shinigami under the rank of Vice-Captain may not speak in a Captain's meeting if summoned and not allowed to speak unless spoken to.
• Shinigami of Squad one must treat all Captain officers with respect and manners.
• Squad one members are to treat all Shinigami with well manners, and polite behavior.
• A rebel must be killed if in the sight of a Squad one members (as well as any other Squad).
• If addressing the Captain-Commander a Shinigami of Squad one must address her by her title.
• Squad one members must cooperate with any foreign aliens, and not treat them with rude behavior.
• Once addressed by a high-ranked officer a Squad one officer must respond using proper honors, and titles.
Uniform Laws: ❀
• All Shinigami of Squad one must wear a traditional attire. It may be modified to the Shinigami's personal liking, but it must we worn in some way.
