Extraneous info- Well, I think there are a lot of stereotypes that I need to oversome, or at least change people's thinking on. I refer to myself as a 'Gypsy' because, by definition, I do not know what my ancestors' country of origin is. Most people her me refer to myself as that, and think that I am a wandering woman of the world, telling fortunes and dancing, and ripping off every passers-by for money. All it means to be a gypsy is that you do not have a determinate country of origin. Second, I am a lesbian. I am not 'gay' I am a lesbian. Gay refers to a homosexual male. I am a homosexual female. Another stereotype is that all Lesbians are butch, wear men's clothes and cut their hair short, and became les because they could not get a date from a man, or catch their attention somehow, by being too ugly. Not true. I pride myself on my appearance, and do all that I can to be as little like a man as I can be. I find (most) men to be complete a-holes, that either think they have to posture as being so macho, and that think with their genitalia instead of their brain. Somehow, through all of this, men continue to flirt with me. It gives me great pleasure to crush their little fantasies and simply walk away. Thirdly, I dress goth, meaning I wear nothing but red, the color of blood, black, the color of darkness, and white, the color of bone. Now here is another stereotype I hate, that all Goths are dark, satan worshipping kids that write bad poetry and try to kill themselves in their rooms at night. I am a happy, well adjusted person, that wishes she could write poetry and likes the music and the darker side of life, and dresses in goth fashions. The mainstream, popular kids have rejected me for what I am, so I, in turn reject them, and embrace the others that have been shunned. So, now that i've ranted about that...if you read through the whole thing, give me a comment. I'll know who took the time to read it and I can thank you personally.
