Azazel is the leader of the brotherhood. When the scientists throws the failed experiements into the trenches of Nibelhiem mountains Azazel takes charge in an attempt to gain control and suceeds. When Gensis arrives and free's them he see's his chance to not only gain control over them but the entire world. Using their hate of Shinra he manipulates the others into getting revenge on them.

However Azazels master plan is more twisted than one might think. Not only wanting to crush Shinra who had experiemented on all of them for so many years but to use Shinra's facilities to infuse himself with lifestream and become a god of the planet gaining control over everything

Azazel challenges and defeats Genesis when Genesis reveals that he did not want revenge on Shinra anymore but only to see them free to live the lives that they choose. Azazel exclaims to him that they will never be accepted for who they are and that they must destory Shinra

Creation
Azazel was unlike most of the other experiements not born but instead created. Before Radin had died there was a clone made of him incase if ever Radin where to die then the clone would be used in his place. Azazel was this clone. However Hojo who had cloned Radin believe that Azazel was a failure and a imperfect clone of Radin. Azazel now with no purpose being brought into the world without reason was tossed into the trenches of the Nibelhiem mountains along with all the other failed experiements. The thought of being not only having no purpose in the world but being a failure as well drove Azazel mad and then soon in insanity deciding the only purpose he could have was to use his powers to become the ruler of the planet

Azazel was first named Kisuke when he was created by a kind sciencist. The scientsts had run many experiments on him but one of them he remembed had been somewhat nice to him giving him extra food and some comfort of human kindness calling him by his name rather than experiment number. But after he was tossed away and became evil he changed his name to Azazel to better suit himself and to be feared all across the world
