Day of Hatching
July 7th, 2007 Angels_GraceMorning dew rolled down the egg as it layed still. There was nothing and nobody around. The silence of the morning made it seem like time was still. What broke the silence was the sound of tiny cracking. The egg trembled as the creature inside fought its way out. Cracks spread their way across the egg, moving quickly. After what seemed to be hours, the egg burst and a tiny creature fell out onto the ground. --------------------------- Infin_Etty"Ohh! I think I heard a noise! I think I heard cracking. Is there an egg somewhere around?" the bubbly dragonette rand around looking for the source of the noise she thougt she'd heard.
"Calmo DOWN!" yelled an exasperated Dac, trying to keep up. "If it is an egg, you'll step on it before you actually find it." he continued, trying to be more calm."Oh! You're right! I'd better be more careful" Tera said, trying to calm herself, but still quivering with excitement. "Here little eggy eggy eggy..."------------------------- Angels_GraceEstrella squirmed as she found herself out of the warmth of the egg. The grass was rough beneath her and she layed there, unable to see or hear anything around her. The smell of grass filled her lungs. She shivered in the morning air and curled up a bit. ------------------------ Infin_Etty"SQUEEEEE!" The high pitched shriek from the dragonette brought Dac running despite his warning. He never could tell if it was pain, fear, or excitement. Upon approaching, however, he saw it was the latter. "What, or who, did you find?""Shhh! Don't talk so loud. We don't want to scare it! Look at the pretty little baby! She reminds me of the sky!"Shh indeed! Dac thought, considering the squeel that she'd let out moments before chastising him. "You know, young ones like that can't hear yet. Nor can they see.""But they can feel, can't they? I don't remember being a pup...how lonely it must have been! Oh, wait...nevermind, I had you! hehee."
Tera carefully moved over towards the little one. "I wonder if it has a sentinel that will find it..." She nuzzled softly against it.--------------------------------- Angels_GraceEstrella felt the grass shift around her. A new scent entered her nose, but she couldn't tell what it was. A tiny squeak escaped her mouth. When Tera nuzzled her, she reached up to grab Tera's face so she smell this new thing. -------------------------------- Infin_EttyThis time, Tera was able to keep the excitement to herself. Ohhh! She touched me she likes me she wantstobemyfriend! was what ran through her head. However, she just smiled at Dac, and licked the little one's head instead.------------------------------- Angels_GraceEstrella let go of Tera and layed still. Something was touching the top of her head. She layed still. The scent of the creature that had first touch her was still near. ------------------------------- Infin_EttyInfin_Etty "Awww" Tera whispered, drawing back a bit. I guess she doesn't like being licked. She pulled away." "Maybe it's wet and she's not used to it, she seemed to like the snuggling.""Good idea."
Tera snuggled up to the little one, and before she knew it, had fallen asleep.------------------------------- Angels_GraceEstrella felt the grass shift and something lay next to her. She felt the warmth of Tera's body and snuggled closer to her, enjoying the warmth. Soon, he chest gently raised and fell as she drifted to sleep.

A new friend? July 10, 2007 NagisaKaoruSage wandered in the grassy plains. The tall grass tickled his short brown and green snout. He sneezed loudly, smoke trailing out of his nose. His tail trashed in annoyence. He hated it when he sneezd. It hurt. A mellow white butterfly drifted before him. His bright lime colored eyes sparkled as he gave chase not knowing if anyone else was there or not.--------------------------------- Angels_GraceEstrella squirmed. The rough grass against her skin annoyed her. Some blades were sharp, some tickled. She chirped loudly. Her eyes had opened a bit and she could see a little of the world around her. Her ears were a bit slower and she was still unable to hear what was going on around her. -------------------------------- NagisaKaoruSage heard one of the chirps in the otherwise quiet atmosphere. He froze looking for where the sound came from. In that short time, he lost his butterfly. Annoyed and a bit confused, he ran straight ahead to try and catch up with the white fluttering bug. In the process he fail to notice the small blue dragon before him. He tripped over her scaly body and went crashing into the dirt. "Ow...." he groaned. ------------------------------- Angels_GraceEstrella chirped loudly again and rolled over. A small cry came from her and she lifted her heavy head and looked around to see what bumped into her. Although her sight still wasn't the best, she saw something green that stood out from the grass. Tilting her head, she sniffed the air, trying to pick up the scent. ------------------------------ NagisaKaoruSage jumped to his paws and spun around to take a look at whatever felled him. What he saw was a dark colored little dragon femme. He leaned foward and sniffed the scaled bundle of blood and bones. "Hello there?" he said with a curious tone in his voice, "what are you? You look like a Tatsu, but you're just too small..." ----------------------------- Angels_GraceEstrella chirped softly and rolled onto her back. Her arms reached up and she touched Sage's face, still sniffing the air. This was how she would remember who she met. Smell. Unable to hear him, her bright purple eyes stared up at him, although things were blurry from her point of view. ----------------------------- NagisaKaoruSage blew a puff of warm air towards the tiny dragon. "I'm Sage," he snorted. Her eyes were the deepest violet he had ever seen. He loved the color purple, but this was almost too much. He cast his eyes to the grass as the baby stared at him. ---------------------------- Angels_GraceEstrella watched his mouth move through blurry vision. " Age! " She chirped and pointed at him. Her tiny tail moved back and forth as she watched him with a big grin on her face. ----------------------------- NagisaKaoru "It talks!" Sage gasped taking two small steps back. His eyes were wide with surprise. It was a baby dragon. He didn't know what to do. Should he run away? Or should he help the baby through the tall, merciless grass? ---------------------------- Angels_GraceEstrella watched his mouth move again and tilted her head. " Alk? " She rolled back over onto her stomach and watched him curiosly. She chirped, wondering why he was backing away. ---------------------------- NagisaKaoruSage nudged her with the back of his paw. She was warm and full of life. He like that in nature and she was no acception. He decided not to run. "Want a ride?" he asked her. ---------------------------- Angels_GraceEstrella tilted her head in confusion. She had only been mimicing his mouth motions. Being unable to hear what he said or understand, her violet eyes filled with confusion as she stared at him. ---------------------------- NagisaKaoruSage saw that she did not understand him by the glint in her indigo eyes. He nudged his snout under her back and flipped her onto his thick skull. He moved and wiggled sliding the baby down his neck and onto his back with gentle care. "Ride," he repeated. --------------------------- Angels_GraceEstrella chirped as she felt herself being lifted from the ground. In second, she found herself on Sage's back. Blinking, she looked around slowly. She was slightly higher than before and had a new perspective of everything around her. She looked back at Sage and watched his mouth move again. " Ide. " -------------------------- NagisaKaoruSage felt her grab onto his scales with the slightly sticky pads of her paws. She had said 'ide' which Sage took as ride. He started off into the grass at a slow trot, so she would fall.

Who are they?
July 20, 2007 Angels_GraceEstrella bumped into something. Her eyesight was now almost perfect and her ears were opening up. Chirping softly, she sat on her hind legs and stared at the sphere infront of her.The egg infront of Estrella quivered slightly, as if it was cold and a small crack sounded through the air. Estrella leaned forward and sniffed the egg. A crack had run down it and she let her claw run down it.With anothe load crack, the egg burst open and a tiny creature fell onto the ground. The newling hatched Tastu rolled onto its back. It wasn't aware of this strange world around it. The only thing it felt was the tough grass around it. Estrella chirped softly and touched it gently, to watch this strange this shudder and keep still. --------------------- ami1427A small oval shaped egg shuddered amongst the others.A tiny clipping noise could be heard once in a while, then it the clipping and tapping became more reppedative as the young tatsu within the saftey of the shell walls struggled to break free of the place that had kept it safe for so long. Finally the cracks in the shell of the egg grew longer and shattered. -------------------- Angels_GraceEstrella heard another faint sound. Looking around, she saw another sphere. This same strange thing shattered, just like the last one and another creature came out of it. Estrella looked from the first Tatsu to the other. The first Tatsu shuddered as a breeze went by. Letting out a small chirp, he grabed ahold of the grass searching for the warmth he had left behind in the egg. ----------------- ami1427The tiny tatsu squeaked and tried to stand. The tiny tatsu couldn't see a thing, it felt the grass below it and could smell the air. ----------------- Angels_GraceEstrella walked up to the other tatsu slowly. She sniffed the air as she slowly walked toward it. Stopping next to it, she reached out her paw and touched it. It felt just like the only one a couple feet away. ----------------- ami1427The tiny tatsu could smell another tatsu and chirped quietly. It felt the other touch it and took a tiny paw and pawed at the air. ---------------- Angels_GraceEstrella was only a big bigger than thhis newly hatched Tatsu, since she was only a week and a half older. She put her other paw up to the one in the air and sat down, smiling at the newly hatched Tatsu.The other Tatsu, who was longing for warmth, had skooted his way over to the other two and cuddled up next to them both. He wasn't the least bit interested on their smells or anything. All he was worried about was warmth. ----------------- ami1427The tatsu chirped happily as she brought her paw back down. She could smell another tatsu beside her and the other one. Carefully, she lyed down and pawed the grass infront of her. ----------------- Angels_GraceEstrella looked at the one who was cuddling up to them. Smiling, she looked between the two. Watching, she saw a butterfly flying down toward them and land on the tanish green tatsu. The tatsu chirped loudly as the butterfly landed on him and he squirmed. The feet of to butterfly tickled and he wanted it to fly off. Once it flew off of him, he layed still. ----------------- ami1427the other tatsu jumped when she heard the loud chirp.She stood up on her wobbly legs and sniffed the air. ---------------- Angels_GracePausing, the tanish green tatsu paused as the other body next to him move and the grass shifted. Estrella stood up and watched the baby tatsu stand up as well. She made a soft chirp as she watched her with a smile. --------------- ami1427She wanted to take a step foreward, but she couldn't see. Carefully she put one tiny paw infront of the other and took a step. When she put the other paw infront, she tumbled over and fell on the tatsu next to her. Chirping she squirmed to get up. -------------- Angels_GraceThe greenish Tatsu yelped and squirmed as something fell ontop of him. Estrella jumped forward as she tried to help this baby off the other one.------------- ami1427The baby tatsu rolled off the other taatsu and was lying on her back now.She chirped, having no idea what way was up or down since she couldn't see. -------------- Angels_GraceEstrella giggled and poked the tatsu on the stomach. She sat down again and looked down at her smiling. -------------- ami1427The little tatsu chirped in a hppy tone and squirmed. That tickled.She rested one of her paws on her bellie before she rolled over agian. --------------- Angels_GraceEstrella smiled as she watched the dark red tatsu rolled back over. -------------- ami1427Finding this very amusing, the tasu kept rolling around. She rolled back over the others and curled up. Quickly she fell asleep beside them. ---------------- Angels_GraceThe greenish tatsu was already asleep. As he felt the other one curl up next to him, he cuddled closer. Estrella layed down next to them smiling. She made a small yawn as she layed her head down as well. --------------- ami1427The dark red tatsu smlied to herself as she slept. She welcomed the warmth of the others she was lying next to. --------------- Angels_GraceEstrella's eyes got heavy and she soon closed them, curled up to her new friends. --------------- ami1427While she was deep in her sleep, a cool breeze blew and she shivered. She huddled up closer to the others and fell fast asleep agian.

How can I talk?
July 22, 2007 to ??????? Infin_EttyThe red and black striped male dragonette was out for a bit of a stroll...he was being careful to avoid that overly loud brown one that had come bouncing around his nest a few weeks back...but then, he figured he could hear her coming from miles away. A cool drink of water is probably exactly what he wanted. ----------- Angels_GraceEstrella layed curled up around Nyroc. Her eyes and ears were now opened, and she was getting used to the senses of sight and being able to hear. She was a little of two weeks old now, and was suprised at how slow time was outside that egg she had so long ago hidden in.
She had been spending most of her time taking care of herself and Nyroc. It was strange, she couldn't understand why she wanted to take care of Nyroc when she could hardly take care of herself as it was, but it was like there was some invisable bond between the two. A small pile of berries and a large leaf, that had been curled into a form almost like a cup, with water sat inches from her and Nyroc. ---------------- Infin_EttyAs he got towards the lakefront, Trellos started to hear stirring noises. Great, he thought to himself, Other tatsu. I never know how to deal with others. None the less, he kept walking, because he was thirsty, and any other place to get water would just be an even longer walk.
As he moved forward, he saw to his left a nest of freshly-hatched pups. Even he couldn't help chuckling to himself remembering how much MORE awkward he'd been at that age than he even was now. ---------------- Angels_GraceNyroc stirred slightly, his tiny nose twtiched as he could smell the scent of berries infront of him. Squirming closer to the berries, he took a bite of one. A small chirp escaped his mouth as he enjoyed the taste of the berry, soon finishing it off and grabing another with his paws. Estrella chirped softly as she felt Nyroc move and munch on the berry. With a smile, she stood up. Her legs were getting used to holding her body by now, but she was still pretty clumbsy on her feet. Taking small steps, she grabed a berry of her own, and sat down the munch on it.
After sometime of munching on berries, she heard something strange behind her. It was a soft sound, the one she heard when she stepped on grass. Blinking, she looked over the ledge of her and Nyroc's nest to see what was out there. ----------------- Infin_EttyOh gosh he thought to himself, I've been seen...one of them is looking at me. This is so awkward!
None the less, a testament to his growing courage, he approached. He wasn't sure if he should nibble on her ear like he'd first been greeted, but decided to give it a try. He walked over to the pretty blue pup and nibbled softly on her ear. "Welcome to being alive" he said, awkwardly. ------------------- Angels_GraceEstrella blinked and tilted her head gently to the side as she watched the Tatsu walk forward. Letting out a soft chirp as he came forward, she smiled at him.
When he had started nibbling on her ear, she let out a chirp that sounded much like a sqeak and tried to get ahold of him to push him off. She didn't like the feel of her ear being nibbled on to much. Nyroc turned over onto his back as he felt Estrella move. There was a new scent in the air. Something new was there and he was sure Estrella was with in. He rolled back over, unaware of what was going on around him and grabbed another berry to chew on. ------------------- Infin_EttyOops, thought Trellos, upon hearing Estrella's squeekI messed up.
"Sorry there, little one. The first person ever to say hi to me did it by nibbling on my ear. I didn't like it much either, but I guess it's a custom, so we might as well pass it on. You look pretty young. Is that your little brother?" He scanned the nest area with all of the broken eggs. -------------------- Angels_GraceEstrella blinked as she stared at the Tatsu. She understood almost nothing he was saying. She watched his mouth move and the sounds that came out. Smiling, she attempted to mimic the last word he spoke. " Bruder? " Beside the green Tatsu she had met around a week ago, this was the second tatsu to speak her her. Nyroc was still muching on berries happily. Reaching out, he felt around the nest infront of him, searching for another berry. Unable to see, and unable to feel another berry, he let out a sad squeak as the little bit of berries that was there was gone. ------------------- Infin_Etty"Ohhh!" said Trellos aloud, not noticing how silly he sounded, "she doesn't know words yet! So I could probably say wangilesng to her and she wouldn't know it wasn't a word!"
Then he blushed even further red, embarrassed at his comment. So that one is your brother, or is not your brother. Hrm. Want me to get more berries?
It's awkward to talk to people who can't talk yet! he thought to himself. ------------------ Angels_GraceEstrella was curious about the words coming out of Tellos's mouth. Blinking, she stared at him. Was it is way of communicating to her? She wanted to be able to understand those noises he was making.
Looking back at Nyroc, she wondered if that last word, brother, was what Nyroc was to her. But what did it mean? Nyroc moved around through the nest. He was digging a tiny hole infront of him in the nest. Nosing through the the bottom of the nest were the hold now was, he reached down and pulled up a berry had hidden ealier and munched on it happily. ------------------ Infin_Etty"Well", Trellos said aloud again, "babbling aimlessly probably isn't helping her learn to speak. Maybe I should do this with meaning.
He looked at her. Then pointed to himself with a paw. "I am Trellos." He pointed at her, "You have a name too, but I don't know it." Then, pointing at the berry-nibbling baby "I think that's your brother." Then he went through the sequence again, to see if she had it.
Inside he was thinking All I'd wanted was water, and now I'm giving language lessons. He sighed slightly. --------------- Angels_GraceEstrella blinked and pointed to Trellos just as he had done. " Trellos. " She said, and smiled as she mimiced perfectly. She remembered Sage teaching her his name, but now she didn't have a name to tell Trellos.
She looked at Nyroc. " Bruder? " She still didn't yet grasp the word. Nyroc sniffed the air again. The leaf that had water in it was close. Scooting toward it, he pulled in a bit closer, some spilling out as he took a small drink.
