Amongst many more Tatsu was a new arrival. There was a wild streak about him, as with any Tatsu found from the wild. He's a shaky boy, avoiding most people and other Tatsu out of mere timidness being pulled from the wild. When no other was around, he'd be seen chasing after a butterfly or in tight circles after his tail. Until he'd break free from his shy nature, he had his own bowl near the trees so he would keep a full belly and remain healthy. Tatsu Status: Unclaimed

She meandered through the reserve grounds, her skirt softly brushing the grass in her passing. Rain’s eyes scanned the flora around her, nodding to the personnel as they passed; a few would stop and chat with her, imparting knowledge about the Tatsu or just small talk. This fenced in section of the Green Dusk forest seemed a little bit preened compared to the slightly more wild counterparts, but it certainly didn’t feel like imprisonment. Towards the back, and where some trees seemed to gather a bit thicker together, Rain thought she saw a blur of movement. Some of the sparse undergrowth had been rustled. Crouching to the earth, she brushed some of the loose strands of multicolored hair from her eyes. Bracing her palms against the trunk of a tree, she slowly shifted to look behind it, a pair of golden orbs staring back at her; increasing in size until they looked impossibly huge in the poor thing’s face. It gave a sound of dismay and moved backwards, nearly tripping over it’s own tail. She shuffled back a bit, trying to give the little male more room, while admiring him. His muddy green tinted pelt was offset by a striking furline of a plum color. She tucked her skirt securely, and then sat back, leaning against another tree, trying to look calm and inviting.
As time passed, he seemed perhaps a bit less timid, but she still resisted the urge to simply reach out and grasp him. He looked so desperately in need of a good hug. She kept her eyes on him, patiently, hoping he would find her safe and would be curious rather than afraid.

Kami stared at the new stranger, she seemed soft and fragrant in a way unlike other creatures like himself. He did not understand the differences yet between male and female humans, but he knew the two legged ones were unpredictable. Some were nice and caring, but others were a bit too rough. His golden eyes stared at her while she watched him, his tail lightly swaying back and forth gently in slightly anxious manner.
He tilted his head and took a step forward tentatively to see if she'd jump or make sudden moves. She remained steady, with a strange look to her face he'd seen in the nicer caretakers at the preserve. He took an even tinier step forward and sniffed at the air around her, keeping good distance in case he needed to run.

Her hope soared as he approached, however slightly. She remained still, keeping her breathing regular; twitching her nose against the few rebel strands of hair that had fallen into her face again. Afraid to raise her hand to tuck them behind her ear, she ignored the itchy feel. The little Tatsu dragonet seemed to be absorbing information about her, sniffing and feeling her out. She grinned slightly, amazed by the little guy. Taking a chance, she whispered to him. Very softly, very low; she did her best to sound gentle as she called out to him, giving him her voice as well as her smell to investigate.
“Aren’t you handsome. It’s alright, you’re safe, little one. I promise I wont hurt you…”
Her voice trailed off, holding her breath in anticipation of his reception of the new input about her; hoping it didn’t scare him off.

Kami raised his chin in alarm just a hair as the expression on her face changed to something different. It seemed she twinkled from the inside out... but that's not possible? As she spoke he turned his head to the side, tilting it curiously as his golden eyes seemed to expand and contract slightly. He flicked his tail towards her, testing her intentions once again, and he stepped closer, keeping his neck pulled in closer to his body this time in order to protect himself from this strange creature. He was within an arm's reach of her now, on all fours, watching her every move anxiously.

A charming young boy dragonet came stalking through the trimmed grass nearby, sniffing at the woman. This was not staff! He looked at her curiously, watching the new kid in town with the human, one paw lifted. Such a cute expression of curiosity on his face, not that the human had even noticed him approach - such a sneaky ninja he is! Hey, it's the obvious wolf in him! He looked at the small boy with the same dumbfounded expression. Then suddenly he turned and bolted through the grass on all fours - the woman would definately have heard that and possibly been startled by it. The wolflike tatsu ran off towards the short 3 foot gate and jumped it almost effortlessly.
Soon, he came back with... a worker! Not just any owner, his own 'mum.' With her was her usual clipboard, wrapped in a cozy, long leather jacket despite the warming spring weather on a beautiful sunny, but cloudy day. In the preserve, there were slightly less trees than the forest, so there was only half as much shade. A jacket couldn't be considered crazy at all. The woman watched the two for a moment, the young wolf tatsu standing on his hinds now, latching to the woman's leg almost possessively, as if to say 'my momma not yours!' But there was a sweet little smile on his maw, always friendly.
"Merry meet," Panacea finally spoke up, smiling just as kindly as Wolf.

Encouraged by his interest, she missed the little visitor until it tore away through the grass. She was surprised and turned her head, cursing herself at the quick movement in her mind. Listening hard for both the… whatever it was that had dashed off, as well as for any movement from the olive colored dragonet; she wasn’t expecting to see one of the Reserve staff approaching with a little Tatsu fondly attached to her. Worrying only briefly about her appearance, and deciding not to risk the movements to straighten herself out, she grinned at the pair, nodding slowly as well.
“Hello. I think it was your young friend there,” – with this she slightly raised her hand to indicate the dragonet clutching her leg – “that startled me a little bit ago.”
She winked kindly at the little guy, not bothered by his interruption.
“My name is Roserain, either Rose or Rain work fine if the whole is a bit too long. Would you happen to know the name of this little guy?”
With that she turned to look back at where she had previously been staring, hoping to see the familiar golden eyes.

The sudden movement of the other dragonet made Kami become startled and he dashed for the nearest tree. He hid behind it watching the other human approach and the dragonet with her. He liked the other one, she seemed calm and not exciteable, but he felt rather like keeping to himself amongst others of his kind.
He quietly started making his way further from the human approaching with the new dragonet but making an arc so he could still watch the curiously fragrant one.

A young girl with long blonde hair wearing a green cape was lost in the woods. She looked around worriedly as she had wandered off the trail to follow a lizard. She almost didn't see the small dragonet and almost stepped on him. "Oh!" she uttered in surprise as she jumped back. The dragonet skittered away, startled by the sudden noise. The girl looked at him and squatted down to look him in the eye. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you," she said in a soft voice. The dragonet looked at her curiously and stood still. The girl reached a hand out to him slowly. He looked at her hand curiously then nudged it with his hand. The girl smiled and pet his head gently.

She remained in the squat position, petting the dragonet. When both she and the dragonet heard leaves crunching, they looked up at the new arrival. It was one of the Reserve Staff. "Now what are you doing here?" they asked the girl. "I got lost," she replied. "Oh? So-" The girl kept talking. "I really like him. He's soft and he's really nice," she said as she hugged the dragonet gently. The dragonet squirmed at first, but stopped once he realized the girl wasn't hurting him. The Reserve staff smiled. "Yes, I see that. Why don't I take you both back to the Reserve center. Or were you looking for your Mommy?" she asked the girl. The girl shook her head. "I'm by myself, but I got lost." The Reserve Staff nodded. "Let's take you both back then." she said. "Ok."

The Reserve staff turned to the dragonet. "I was actually trying to find you because you left Poe behind," she told him. He looked into her hands at the purple Sentinel and grinned, taking him from her. The girl look at the Sentinel with wonder. "Poe? Is that your name?" she asked it. The Sentinel nodded. "My name is Kami," the dragonet said quietly, speaking for the first time. The girl looked at him in surprise, then smiled. "Mine is Willow," she replied. Kami smiled and hugged Willow who hugged him back. The Reserve staff was surprised. "Kami has never become so trusting of anyone so quickly," she thought to herself. "Alright then, let's go to the reserve now," she said, smiling at the two. "Yes," they replied at the same time.

"Is... Is it possible for Kami to come home with me?" Willow asked. The Reserve Staff smiled. "Maybe." "I really like him. And I'd take care of him. Mimzy and Poe would help me," Willow said, holding up her stuffed bunny and pointing to Poe. The Reserve Staff, still smiling, replied once again with, "Maybe." Willow simply followed along with her hand on Kami's back as he walked next to her on all fours.
