Beyond the fence, a young silver and gold Tatsu with brilliant red eyes was clearly a bundle of joy. She was ducked down in front of a Tatsu of the same age group, her stubby tail wagging behind her so harshly that the rest of her body shook with it. All the while, her tongue was lolled over the side of her maw, panting heavily. A paw snuck up and tagged the other, and she bound off, trying to entice them into joining her in a game of tag.

Would this little female be released back into the wild today? Or perhaps the loving arms of a kind and worthy kinship? Or would she remain here until her personality faded?

Tatsu Status: Unclaimed

A worker was not far behind, an oddly dressed and just as odd looking young woman who looked more like a medieval wench peasant than a worker. But...! She had a nametag reading "T.W.P" and underneath, "Panacea," a clipboard was clutched close, and around her neck was a whistle to keep things in order. Attached to the hoop of her old leather belt was a set of keys, jingling with her footsteps, announcing her arrival to the woman searching for her.

Following her, was a young dragonet sporting a matching wolf tail that matched his Kinship's. Already the little boy was walking on hinds, rather than all fours.

"Merry meet, miss!" She smiled appreciatively and gave the abandoned female a loving caress behind an ear. "Looking to adopt today? This little one's a good choice, we've been calling her Aphrodite since she came in, since she's just so pretty, and shiny as well. Wolf here's been perking up her sorrowful attitude til she was good as new! He's such a charmer with the ladies," she looked down at her own Tatsu standing just over two feet, tail confidently swaying at his motherly figure's proud boasting. Wolves, both of them were such proud creatures. He had a smug smile on his maw, bearing a small fang, arms crossed.

Back to business, Panacea eyes the promising possible Kinship again, pulling her pen from behind the clipboard's locking jaws. "Name, please?" Though Pana had never seen this person in the Village, the wolf-tailed female assumed that the customer has just moved to the Village. She'd find out soon.

Zsabrina found herself lost amongst the trail she started upon, when she came to a fence. Hrmmm, maybe someone here can help me? she tapped her bottom lip ever so gently, before checking her belongings boots, pants and shirt to be sure she could get over the fence without much trouble. As she got to the top, she sat a moment, I guess wisdom would call for me to be sure I'm not walking into trouble.

She brought a hand over her eyes, scanning into the fields beyond the fence. Her attention was instantly caught by a bright, shine off some paces away, near what looked like two women. Aha! I'm in luck. People are here!

As Zsabrina approached, she looked about her and realized it was some sort of holding place for animals. An expression of comprehension crossed her face as she saw the woman with the silver tatsu in her arms. Ah, yes, I know these. My friend recently adopted one. Quite a different kind though, but this silver one, is spectacular. She stared into the large ruby red eyes and found a spark of mirth and joy behind the metallic exterior.

Zsabrina smiled to herself before approaching the women, "Pardon the intrusion, but, might I get some help? Also, if I may ask, does that darling creature belong to you? It is simply... magnificent." She nodded cordially to both in turn. "Oh, forgive me, my name is Zsabrina."

Panacea scribbled more onto the paper, despite Aria not seeing, it was merely common things to be written - name, where she's located in the village. Or if she was outside of Green Dusk and into the more... distant civilization. She started to open her mouth to ask her next question, when Wolf tugged on her dress.

Her tail flicked and she looked down at the little boy, who was simultaneously pointing to an approaching figure with his opposite hand, STILL tugging at her. "Yes hunny," she said motherly "I see now," she sighed. Really, having multiple people ask for a Tatsu was mentally weary, because only one person could walk away happy; but at the same time it was an assurance to know she had to choice as to who it would go to.

She gestured to Aria with one finger mid-air, "One moment please," then that same hand swung around to the newcomer, offering her hand. "Merry meet, welcome to Tatsu Wildlife Preserve. She is here looking to adopt, but I'm afraid it's not first come first serve, people are interviewed to make sure they are going to a good home, and don't end up back in the Preserve. When they get older, it gets harder to cheer them up, and multiple visits really put a damper on the poor little ones.

Can I get a name?" She flipped the paper on the clipboard over, loosely dangling over the top. Underneath was another exact copy of the form. She had a pile on the board. "And may I ask where you both reside," she questioned, switching glances between Aria and the new female. Wolf had lowered onto all fours, and stalked closer to the new one, tail tucked against his leg in a friendly manner, ears curved down, posing no threat. He simply wanted some attention - she looked amusing! "I did not know there were many newcomers to the Village, but then again I spend all of my time here lately since it opened. I do hope you live locally?" She sounded hopeful, "It's very sad to see them go outside of the Valley, because they are so accustomed to living here and not in big cities, but if that is one's wish," she faded out, then waited for a reply.

Really, if they lived in the Village, she was going to be esctatic about having more people. Of course, there couldn't be an overpopulation else the Tatsu would feel their forest is being overrun!

Zsabrina smiled brightly at Panacea and nodded her head, suddenly realizing wandered into a preserve. Huh. I didn't know there was a preserve for these creatures. I wonder if my friend knew she lived so near to one?

Zsabrina cleared her throat a moment, "Actually I wandered lost on my way to my friend's home. I was staying in town, house-sitting for her while she was away and helped her in adopting her own little Mahari. I must say the two are quite amazing together, but then Lady has always been a kind-hearted individual to all creatures."

Zsabrina chuckled and smiled warmly at the little wolf-like dragonet tatsu, she knelt towards him a moment, extending her hand palm up in a very trusting fashion. She spoke softly, "It's alright. I'm not going to hurt you." She laughed when she realized he only wanted some attention and petted him gently, trying to find his weak spots that all animals have and love to have rubbed or petted.

She was suddenly reminded to not be rude and spoke to Panacea while playing with the little dragonet, "I actually have been looking to find a nice place to call home. It's not far from here that I found a lovely spot that is quite forestal. Plus, all the better that it will be closer to my friend so I can visit. I tend to visit her often and find her on some of my more odd excursions." Giggling to herself, "I think she rather fancies that I stalk her sometimes, imagine that?"

Aria looked down at the sweetie in her arms, silently as she waited for her next question. She was so much in love with the baby, she was controlling the urge to tell the other to leave. She knew that wouldn't help, but she wanted 'Aphrodite' so very much, and the sweet angel was so lovely.

Pana scribbled the name on the paper, and despite her 'scribbling' it was neatly written. She looked the the silver dragonet spoken of, and chuckled. "Well, when Tatsu reach the refuge, we do not know their name. It's disrespectful to put a collar and name tag on them like some mindless pet. They are living beings by far more intelligent - all they are missing are voices to commune with us. Anyhow, point is that we don't know their names when they arrive, so we choose a name just to recognize them by amongst staff until they go to a new home. This one we call Aphrodite." That clearly meant that new owners were allowed to pick their own name. Wolf suddenly lifted on his hinds, and put his paws on Zsabrina's knee, tail wagging, pleading in his eyes, "Hm, he likes you, Zsabrina! You can pick him up if you want."

"So, Miss Aria. You make new rooms for each Tatsu you bring home? If I do say so myself," she questioned, gaze darting to her, "that's quite a feat to pull if you end up making each one its own room. I've heard of spoiling one's Tatsu, but they're happy to just be around you, my dear. Building more rooms is a lot of work, especially for one young woman!" She should know. She helps the construction men, and she's not of human strength. But she smiled at Aria, finding the extra lengths an interesting, promising thing to hear about, it was certainly something she'd never heard before. Most cabins in the Village were one or two rooms with a living space and small vanity.

The woman's tail swayed in a relaxed poise behind her. Usually she walked around in a jacket or hid the tail under her long skirt. She read through the paper, "Hmm. So, Aria, you have just the one Tatsu right now? An egg you say? Has it hatched? Does it do well with other Tatsu? There's also the question of how will this one do with the baby," she stated, straight down to business. Then to Zsabrina, "And you live alone, no Tatsu?" She weighed things in her mind.

Zsabrina couldn't help laughing at the cute little dragonet's begging. "He is terribly adorable. I bet he uses those eyes to get anything he wants," she said as she gently picked him up and scratched gently under the chin, massaging his neck and behind the ears.

She waited until he relaxed in her arms before continuing and answering the questions. "Aphrodite is a beautiful name for her. I think I might keep it if I am priviledged enough to have her. Though I am not quite as well off as Aria, my small home will have a large outdoor area worthy of any animal's wild or domestic desires. I hadn't thought of such a companion until now, but to give the best of both worlds I'd probably have a bed indoors and shelter outdoors so they may roam about at their leisure."

Zsabrina smiled down at the wolf-like creature in her arms and stroked its back gently, "Oh and yes, I live alone, no Tatsu at the moment."
