Trainer cards
--------------------
Before you can compete in battles, you must have a trainer card (made by me) in your sig, and at least one pokemon. I will make any trainer cards needed, and the requirements for your first pokemon (free) are as follows:
1. It must be a basic pokemon
2. It cannot be a legendary
3. It can be any pokemon from R/B/Y to D/P.
As for cards, this is an example (not my real card, mind you):

First, you pick a card base from one of the following:

These are the available trainer sprites (custom sprites are accepted if it doesn't violate the Gaia ToS):

And, here are the backgrounds available (if it doesn't violate the Gaia ToS, I'll accept custom backgrounds):

PM me in this format to get your card and starter pokemon:
Subject - guild card
Description -
Starter pokemon name
Trainer Sprite (ex. H3 for Giovanni)
Background (send custom bg link or bg code ex. A4 for Lavender tower)
Cards will be completed in less than 48 hours from notification or you get a free master ball and rare candy.
--------------
attack power
--------------
Damage is determined as shown:
His Damage = (Move Power / 3) + (+2 per level), x (1.5 "if same type" * .5 if opponent resistant" * 2 "if opponent's weakness") + Additional stuff
Damage is rounded up.
Damage math must be shown in battle
--------------------
HP
----------------------
HP starts out at 25 (except for legendaries; they have 40) and gains 5 HP per level for basic pokemon , 7 HP for Stage 1 evolutions and single-stage pokemon, 9 HP for stage 2 evolutions, and 11 HP for legendaries and Chansey/Blissey/Wobbuffet.
Prolonging evolution hurts in the long run, so evolve ASAP; Quicker Evolution = higher HP
---------------------
EXP
----------------------
Every battle is worth 5 experience points. All pokemon gain experience at the same rate.
You need 15 exp to get to level 6. Starting from level 6, experience needed to level up starts at 15 and gains 10 exp. per level after that. So, to lvl 7 needs 25 exp; lvl 8 needs 35 exp, and so on.
-------------------------
Evolution
---------------------------
Baby pokemon evolve at level 15.
Pokemon that evolve with Unlisted evolution stones stones and items evolve at level 40.
Pokemon that level up via friendship (other than baby pokemon) evolve at level 25.
Gender-specific evolutions evolve evolve at the appropriate level and/or with the appropriate stone/items. You must PM shirog79 for gender-specific evolutions
--------------------
battling
--------------------
1. Decide who is first after challenge is sent/pokemon is encountered.
2. Send out pokemon and choose a move to use, show the math, and send to opponent/area manager.
3. Play PM tag, performing these steps, until there is a victor.
Fast battling is permitted but not preferred.
Area managers send me info, not the trainers.
You may only do one battle at a time.
Yes, you can do double battles. You and the trainer agree to it, and send out two pokemon. After deciding who goes first, you send one move to be used by each pokemon. And then proceed through the battle.

Releasing & Trading Pokemon
------------------------------------

Let's say I want to catch an Eevee. I go to the Plain Area, and get a number. I can run from battles, right? Because I don't want to waste inventory space on Pokemon I don't want...
I Wrote:
Yeah, but why would you want to run? Lets say I wanted that pokemon and I had a Pokemon you wanted: we could trade and we'd be happy. Of course, I would have to PM myself and you would have to PM me, too, to finalize the trade. Other than that, you can release pokemon and be reimbursed with a poke ball (if you caught it with another ball, sorry, tough cookies). Other than that, you can battle for exp.
So, if you want to release a pokemon, you tell me, I get rid of it, and you get a poke ball.
If you want to trade, both parties (you and the person you trade with) PM me and the trade is finalized.

Catching Pokemon
------------------
Here is a chart:
ConditionBall Str. Pokeball Great Ball Ultra Ball Master Ball
Green (100-50%) 5% 30% 50% 100%
Yellow (49-20%) 25% 55% 75% 100%
Red (19-1%) 50% 70% 100% 100%
Now, you roll a 20-sided die or pick a number between 1 and 20 to catch them. The key die numbers are:
Green - Pokeball - 2
Great Ball - 2,5,8,11,14,17
Ultra Ball - 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20
Yellow - Pokeball - 2,6,10,14,18
Great Ball - 2,4,6,7,8,10,12,14,16,18,20
Ultra Ball - 1,2,3,4,5,7,9,11,12,13,14,15,18,20
Red - Pokeball - 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20
Great Ball - 1,3,4,5,7,9,10,11,13,15,16,17,18,20
Ultra Ball - don't worry, you got it.
So, you have to earn the pokemon you catch.

Inventory

If you want to know what items you currently have, send me or tpokefrontier a pm with items in the title. If you have an easier, less time consuming idea, send me a PM.
All new trainers start with 5 Potions and two pokeballs.
