Have you ever had an obsession with something, whether it be a TV show, anime, game, sport, or whatever, and thought nothing else could ever topple it?

Well, that's happening to me right now. As many of you know, in January my interests did a total 180 [to an extent]. I was obsessed, and I mean OBSESSED with FMA shortly after 2005 began...but no more. Two video game series currently vie for my 100 percent attention, and those series are Trauma Center and Xenosaga. Both are eerily addicting with wonderful characters and interesting plots.

So where's FMA in all this? It's been completely HA-WHACKED off my obsession list, and barely dangles on the cliff of my interests and risks falling into the pit of uninteresting. The only thing in the series that's still worth it to me is, of course, Hohenheim. I'll ALWAYS adore him.

And no, I'm not quitting the guild by any means. I've made far too many friends here to give it up so easily. Just don't expect me to get all excited when a new chapter/volume comes out, or expect me to be in the Anime/Manga/Fandom subforms too terribly much anymore. [Well, I won't be posting there.]

So, discuss:

-Changing obsessions
-Obsessions in the past and present that you have or do have
-My complete 180 of obsession changing
-The fact that you should stop reading this and go out and play Xenosaga or Trauma Center or else you have absolutely no right to call yourself human-- *smacked*

Changing obsessions
Well um.Ahem.
As you can all see I'm loving anything and anyone that has something to do with MCR. It's extreamely tempting but seeing as that I've already seen the entire FMA epsiodes and there is just a few chapters left before the manga is over I might move over being the rocker I was before.

*shot*

-Obsessions in the past and present that you have or do have
In the past I was the biggest Harry Potter nerd. I knew everything there was about Harry Potter. Then came in CLAMP which was proboley the safest obbesion there was since there was nothing wrong with it. Of course I was in the Pokemon pharse like everyone else until the Johoto Saga ended.

Currently, I'm still interested in FMA and I'm coming back to MCR and all thier works they've done.

Gerard is quite tempting for me. sweatdrop

*shot agian*

-My complete 180 of obsession changing
I can't belive it. But change must happen to everyone. You'll still love FMA. Not as much as before but everyone needs a change.

-The fact that you should stop reading this and go out and play Xenosaga or Trauma Center or else you have absolutely no right to call yourself human-- *smacked*
I have a DS. You keep praising how great Trauma Center is. I'm gonna give a run for my money and try it out for myself. But in return you must hear the Black Parade Album. Then we call it even. 3nodding

I can endure my own despair

-Changing obsessions
Yes. FMA is held to me by ZOMGFTA and the fact that Heiderich is sexay. Other than that, I've sort of lost interest. Come to think of it, I've lost interest in anime/manga in general. I like to draw in the style, but I can't seem to get really into series anymore. D:

-Obsessions in the past and present that you have or do have
redface I hate when my friends would be like, "LOL remeber when you loooooved YGO?!?!?" And I says like, "YES SHUTUP." I hate it when people remind me of stupid things I was obsessed with when I was younger. Like Animorphs or Power Rangers or dolphins or BAAAHHH.

-My complete 180 of obsession changing
Sometimes it's good; give you a fresh start sort of. My obsessions are changing too. ^_^

-The fact that you should stop reading this and go out and play Xenosaga or Trauma Center or else you have absolutely no right to call yourself human-- *smacked*
...D: Buhbuhbuhbuhbut I don't have the monies or anything.
:EMO: I wishes I could, but I cannot. I don't have the means. >.<

But not another's hope.

Changing obsessions
Unlike the other people who have answered, I got into FMA a few months ago, so you won't be my interest waning in that area anytime soon. I'm on an anime/manga high lately. I've got, like, what, 20 or so series I'd like to check out? But yeah.
I'm still a big, big Les Miserables/French Revolution obsessee, though. I don't think I'll ever grow out of Les Mis and French Rev. You might be thinking, "Oh that's what everyone thinks when they are obsessed with something," but really. Those interests are probably the only ones that will keep on growing. Les Mis has such a profound and beautiful story; French Rev has hot men in an 18th century sense the book Vive la Revolution, which is made of awesome.
Obsessions in the past and present that you have or do have
I remember when I used to be obssessed with Barney, then Pokemon, then Redwall, then Watership Down, then you have me right now.
My complete 180 of obsession changing
Lol. Happens to me, too. Sometimes I have many obsessions at once that are completely different...
The fact that you should stop reading this and go out and play Xenosaga or Trauma Center or else you have absolutely no right to call yourself human-- *smacked*
Money, money, money
Must be funny
In the rich man's world
Money, money, money
Always sunny
In the rich man's world
All the things I could do
If I had a little money
It's a rich man's world.

Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart.

-Changing obsessions
Well, my biggest obbsessions in my life have been Pok'emon and FMA, both of which are just growing all the more. Even though the well for Pok'emon is running dry, I'm still very excited to get my hands on a DS and either Diamond or Pearl version. And in FMA's case, although the manga is climbing to the climax and the anime is through, that just makes me more and more interested.

FMA owns my mind, taking up at least one thought every few minutes. xD;

Ah, I feel so alone. D: Everyone else is wandering off to new things.

But that's good. S'long as you don't leave me to babble about FMA by myself.

-Obsessions in the past and present that you have or do have
Pok'emon and FMA. heart I still am very interested in the other series I watch, but since they're usually short series, the hype doesn't last as long as my two obbsessions. I really do like Ouran High School Host Club, Rozen Maiden, Chrono Crusade, and D. Gray-Man.

Speaking of which, since D. Gray-Man is also a long shounen series, I think it'll get itself a nice spot up there with FMA and Pok'emon, since it'll keep me busy for quite a while. 3nodding

TRC as well.

-My complete 180 of obsession changing
It's kind of.. scary? o3o

-The fact that you should stop reading this and go out and play Xenosaga or Trauma Center or else you have absolutely no right to call yourself human-- *smacked*
D: I'm very, very picky about my games. But since you're so into these, I'll take a look and see if they're worth buying.

-Changing obsessions
It happens to me all the time.
I keep getting new obsessions before FMA it was Inuyasha which I despise now.
Currently it's still FMA with Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts & CLAMP.
I've been into FMA for the past two years and with the manga still going it's going to be alive for me for a while...
-Obsessions in the past and present that you have or do have
Sailor Moon, Disney, Pokemon Digimon, Yugiou, Harry Potter, Cardcaptor Sakura, Inuyasha
probably more but I can't remember right now...
-My complete 180 of obsession changing
........ eek

Since I have a PS2 I was thinking about checking Xengsaga out.
I drew the girl from it a few days ago because I thought she looked cool.
Her name is KOS-MOS right?
If I get a DS I'll be sure to get Trauma Center as well. mrgreen

I watched a video of the gameplay on Trauma Center.

It seems like such a stressful game. @_@

How in the world do all those glass shards get into their bodies in the first place? xD

Which version was it? DS or Wii? o.o The Wii version is considerably easier than the DS counterpart...

It was the Wii.

Then I think I'd be writhing on the floor in frustration if it were the DS. o_o It looked rather difficult.

Then again, they were on one of the final stages/levels.

Waaaaait a second, did the guy that talked to the player look like a freaky corpse guy?

If so, they may have been playing one of the X missions, which you don't get until you beat the game...WHICH ARE INSANELY HARD. Hence their "extreme" difficulty.

Well, the person that are with you during operations usually stick around. I know with the X missions, the corpse-guy, Adam, is always on-screen. So if it was this guy:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

This it definately was an X mission. I say so because the game isn't as nearly as difficult as the X missions, TRUST ME. I just don't want it to scare you if that's what is was. xD

...Of course, I mean the guy I circled. Not the one I have an arrow with an ":D" face pointing at...eh heh >>
