this may not be about abortion, but you all seem to be bush supporters.
on onother forum I'm curently debating someone who thinks that the election was rigged, they say that the electronic voting machines were set up for bush to win.
one peice of "evidence" they say show's that kerry should have won

Besides, 55,000,000 people voted for Kerry in 2004, more than any other winning candidate in history other than Bush. Doesn't that make you wonder at all?

anybody out there have something to make this kook shut up?

oh, and further

Quote:
Bush displays changed mood

By Joseph Curl
THE WASHINGTON TIMES

An often jocular and occasionally emotional President Bush, exuding the kind of confidence that comes from winning the most popular votes in history, yesterday held a press conference that illustrated the changing mood that a second Bush administration will bring.
From the beginning, it was clear that the president sees a new power flowchart in Washington, one that puts him in control of an America in which nearly 59 million voters chose him over Democratic rival Sen. John Kerry.

http://www.washtimes.com/national/20041104-113007-2551r.htm

I'm glad he got MORE POPULAR VOTES THAN ANY PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF AMERICA, but really, he won by 3.5 million, that's a lot bigger than the 500k lead Gore had over Bush in popular vote.

Now, why haven't preisdents in the past gotten so many votes? winning presidents, as Kerry has? Simple.

1. MTV 20 million loud, Swift vets, and other such campaigns encouraging people to vote who otherwise wouldn't bother.

2. The war on Iraq brings a draft fear, which gets the younger and less experienced people to vote when they normally wouldn't.

3. Population....there are more people at voting age than there ever have been, I believe. Same reason that even though there are more jobs than ever before, percentage-wise is worse.....there are more people than there are jobs to fill. More people=more voters.

4. College. Efforts to provide education and opportunities for every kid to go to college leads to a more politically aware community, free from parental thoughts and views. People are just starting to form their own, independant lives, in a community of other people in just the same boat. Voting is the right thing to do, even if you don't know why you're voting for who you are...it establishes your role as an adult and you can come home bragging about your intellectual take on the political situation, disregarding your parents' views as biased even though their biased opinions are based on experience, and yours are based on what other people say. Basically, more republicans go democrat, more democrats go republican, because they're free from their parents and form conclusions based off of people around them.

If you ask me, if he's refusing to listen to your side of the argument, it's he that is being childish and denying the facts.

You know what I love? WHen you make a point and get told, "You're a retard." Obviously, you've got the person cornered because all he or she has left is insults. It's so funny. And annoying..... stare

The polls were rigged. In philadelphia. About 2k votes all democrat registered before the polls opened. of course it's a "mistake. They automatically pulled up numbers from the last time they were used." Kinda sad that only two thousand people bothered to vote last time, and all democrat....no wonder the city of brotherly love has gone so astray.
