Story:
Behind many tall mountains and forests there rests the small Feudal Village of Genki Himamachi.

The year is 1272, in Feudal Japan. A new Feudal lord has been appointed and the people of the village can now focus on their jobs once again.

Genki Himamachi is a peaceful and quiet town filled with many different types of people. They are well know for their talented ninja and samurai.

There are many different shops spread across town and many different shapes and sizes of houses.

Forests surround the village yet do not smother it letting in enough sunlight to live and also provide shade.

Name: Ferio
Occupation: Shopkeeper
Age: 27 (looks 17)

Description:
His wild green brown hair, decorated with leaves and straws, is often mistaken by birds for a nest. Ferio does nothing to make his feathered guests leave but neither to make them comfortable. His skin is a healthy tan hue. He is very mild tempered and easy going. His speech is friendly even when kicking you out of his inn.

He usually wears a light robe and some sandals in brown or pale colours.

Ferio is the owner of the local inn and restaurant 'The Flying Crane' often just referred to as the crane. He is often mistaken for a child or a minor worker of the inn by those who do not know him.

Living in a village filled with samurai and ninja has forced him to learn to defend himself and his inn from ruffians and drunks.

Some say he has some relation to life and nature spirits but when asked he avoids answering.

Name: Fujino Amemi (藤乃雨美)

Description: Amemi has a fair skin and dark long hair. Her eyes are also dark brown and she usually wears her blue kimono with okobo. (wooden sandals)

More Info:
She is gentle and delicate, shy, well-mannered, and respectful. Her mother, Shiori (知織), died of sickness when she was 8 years old; frailty being part of the inheritance Amemi was born with. Her father started going to the dojo more often to try and forget about everything for a few moments; obviously it was hard for Kiyoshi (生良知) to raise his two daughters without his beloved. They each had a part of Shiori in them, which kept on reminding him about her. Amemi and her sister were brought in the geisha school of the village, judging her father wasn’t able to take care of them anymore. Meanwhile, Kiyoshi stayed at the dojo and became a samurai. He still went to see his daughters as often as possible, but in his condition, it wasn’t often enough for the two young girls. At the age of 14, they said the older sister Yuuko (友香) was free to choose where she would stay. She was accepted as an apprentice in the dojo and followed her father. She was strong and had a good will, she was doing fine and her father was proud of her. Kiyoshi was ready to see his daughters again and accepted Shiori’s death. Amemi was impatient to join them when she would be old enough and train with them. She longed for that family reunion.

However, before she reached 14 years old, Yuuko died in an accident. She trained with another apprentice in the mountains and they were both careless; Yuuko was on the edge of a raised area where she was fighting and she fell down in a deep valley. The other apprentice ran down the path, down to the bottom of the valley and when he found her she had her neck broken. The apprentice left without notice, probably scared of what had happened, still when the body was found later on, she was buried and there was a ceremony for her. This incident prevented Amemi to join the dojo, especially with her weaker body, and cut the bond between Kiyoshi and her.

So here she is, working for The Flying Crane inn for now 2 years, where she learned how to cook, do the laundry and the usual domestic labor. She also now owns the house where she used to live when she was younger, which was offered to her. It’s pretty small and afar from the village along with the farmer houses and rice fields.

Kai watched as the person faded away as they walked past.
"Brother..."

Note: Kai's Brother had set out for a long journey five years ago and has yet to return, Kai keeps seeing an illusion of his brother returning.

Kai sighed and then began to walk back into the village to a nearby ramen shop to sit down. He leaned forward and sunk his head into his arms that were crossed on the counter of the ramen shop.

He sits there for a while but then gets up and decides to go get something else to eat at The Flying Crane. So he begins walking over there.

After walking a while he arrives at The Flying Crane, and he walks in.

More Info: Yvette is a lonly girl on her own her parents died a few years ago so she took over the farm.

Amemi is surprized of this man's honesty and, mostly, the poverty he seems to be into. She sympathises and stares at him for a moment, however her eyes are kind of lost in the blur; she's thinking of a solution. Her right hand is pressed under her chin, her large dark eyes are settled in space, Amemi stands in front of the man and ponders.

After a few seconds, she offers a seat to her customer, with a simple gesture and a quick pull of another chair near the counter :

"Sumimasen. You may sit here if you please...."

She stops and realizes she addressed him again in a formal way despite what he just asked her.

"I will prepare something you can afford."

The lady gently smiles at him and rapidly goes to the kitchen. She thinks about how she should talk to him, because she isn't used to the familiar speech. She knows and understands it, but she naturally speaked the humble speech.

In the kitchen, she takes an apron which she ties behind her neck and waist, along with a ribbon that she uses to tie her hair in a ponytail. Peasants were normally wearing short hair to keep them out of the sight and because they didn't have time to take care of themselves, but this young lady didn't want to cut her hair when she left the Geisha school. She took great care of her hair to keep them long and shiny, in which she succeeded.
Amemi started boiling some water in the rice cooker and prepared some vegetables meanwhile.
