500+ Post Contest!
Lookie here! It's our second contest!
Here we are, already at 500 posts! I believe it is time for our second contest. This time the prize is a little better... Same as last time. One entry per member. Entries for this contest must be sent by January 25th. The voting will end January 30th!
What's the contest?
Our second contest isn't something that requires a lot of effort, but it does take a bit of creativity! : )
For this contest, you will create an avatar of your character using the tektek dream avatar creator located here. For each item placed on the avatar, there must be an explanation of its importance to the character or what it symbolizes to them. The point of this contest is not to make the coolest looking avatar. You are creating a representation of your character. Every item on it must be explained. [Look to the post after this for an example.]
* If you have more than one character, you cannot make an avatar for each character. It is one entry per member, so you must choose only one character to create and submit. *
Who are the judges?
Once again, everyone will be judging the entries. As before, if you have submitted an entry, do not vote for yourself. Don't be a narcissist.
What's the prize?!
The prize is Thank You Letter for Decemeber 2006. Hopefully, a little better than last time.

You will post all the entries here. There is no need for secrecy this time! Once you are done creating and explaining your avatar, just post it in a reply on this board. If you wish to make any corrections, you may do so until January 25th. Once the clock strikes midnight EST and it is the 26th, you cannot change a thing.

Item Description:
The first six items listed are merely present to show the Lord's elegant manner of dress. While he is not into showy fashion, he no doubt has taste. He does not wear the clothing of the common people. The Golden Laurels is a symbol of his stature among the vampires, and indicates the power he wields, much like a Caesar. However, the Shadow Spirit clinging to his back reveals the ever present watch of those that oppose him. The Lord is not without his own troubles. The Shadow Spirit also stands for all that the vampire has to hide. He has many secrets, and a lot of them have to do with that leather journal in his hand.
That is more or less how I'd like the submissions to go, but hopefully with more creativity than that presented here. : )

Item Description:
Alice's Crimson Dress + G-Lol Dark Mistress Top: Lisette's standard choice of clothing that relates to her style of Romanian Gothic. She wears the style of garments that were probably what was worn ages ago.
Black Web Stockings: These leggings are reprensentative of the way she weaves traps for any naive fly to fall into, causing them to submit to her and her will.
Chain Of Command: This particular item is a metaphor for a force that draws Lisette back, it controls her although she doesn't know it or see it.
Missy Shade Shoes: Tells anyone that she can step on them and anything related to them in order to get what she wants from them.
Mod Squad Mask: Although it may not seem obvious to anyone other than those who are close to her, Lisette has a heart and with a heart comes feelings. Lisette believes that these feelings unveil her weakness to everyone in proximity. Lisette hates feeling weak and so she masks her feelings with an icy layer that allows no one inside until it melts.
Whip Of Fire: Can be interpreted in two different ways:
a) It represents the dominance she holds in the vampire clan next to Lord Bernat, the dominance she takes everywhere with her. The dominance that only the strongest can dominate.
b) It represents the fiery personality and agressive outer layer that she lets be known to everyone around her.
Winter Rose: It represents her love for everything beautiful, metaphorical and the elegance that follows her wherever she goes.

Item Description:
Stylish Ochre Winter Coat, Stylish Ochre Winter Pants and Rustic Chess Shirt- Simple travelling clothes, clothes to keep him warm. It does atract attention, usually he is dressed more escentrically than most villagers of the time.
Soldat Steel Boots- Even if he seems just the passing traveller, he is a solder. The trails he leaves behind are those of a soldier: Blood in each footstep.
Prisoner's Ball and Chain and Prisoner's Shackles- Ingrained in him are the ways of the Slayer, and he is bound forever to them. Sometimes, being a Slayer is a 'heavy' burden.
Hand Wraps- His guns can get very hot. These wraps are sort of a way to key the heat off.
White Rose Petals- A symbol of his purity and his goodnature. Each petal tells a story... He has a lot of good stories...
Shadow Spirit- Even the purist have a skeleton in their closets. He has his, and they follow him... Watching him from a distance in plain view, but only he can see them for what they really are.

Item Description:
The first four items are a mix of casual and formal - something that shows Domovoi's two drastic sides. Upon first meeting him (or at least with those outside his vampiric circle) Domovoi gives the appearance of being a lady's man. Kind, generous, complimenting, and with a slightly mysterious side. Once the exterior act is penetrated though, Domovoi is found to be much more casual and cocky, not really caring that much about anything other than himself.
The card shark bands show his gambling like attitude- sometimes risky. With great rewards at times, and great losses at others. (Psst- you can't see them.)
All the way down to the Labu Necklace (the hearts) portray his lust and 'pimp' bit to him. Domovoi's main pleasure in this world is other women- and the personal time he spends with them - mainly, in bed and up close. Very close.
The shadow spirit show his not-so great part of him, which tends to give out a shaky feel, or aurora to him. (Formerly) Hidden is his vampiric side to the village and their occupants. (Now) It is obvious that there is something not quite righteous about him, but there is nothing hidden behind closed doors. Domovoi knew that his choices in life can be considered 'wrong', but they're not to the point of him being completely 'evil' - he's simply a b*****d.

Item Description:
The first four items put together what I would imagine to be Casimir’s typical attire, while the leather book is nearly part of his everyday appearance, due to the fact that he reads so much. It also symbolizes how he can be a bit detached from the world around him at times, but, like the protagonist in an adventure story, enjoys a good quest.
The Angelbow signifies how he believes that it is his duty to protect those around him, and to carry out the will of God. This is the motivation that drove him to become the hunter he is.
However, if you look, there is a Demonbow slightly behind the angelic one. This is certainly not Casimir’s everyday attitude, and in fact, it doesn’t even really represent a hidden nature. Instead, it represents the fact that he knows that in order to carry out that will of God, there will be obstacles. It represents a quiet ruthlessness that usually isn’t present in his demeanor, but can make its appearance when necessary. He is quite prepared to sacrifice when need be. Not innocent lives, of course, but existences will certainly be wiped out. Perhaps even his own one day.
The Scar of Hero is also present on his face, though a bit hard to see. Although he doesn’t have any such mark, it represents one of his traits that could be either considered an asset or a fault: an inner motivation to play the hero.
Closely tied with that is the Winter Rose. However, it represents something gentler: his chivalrous attitude towards women. For some reason the thought stuck with him to treat them with more respect than the other sex, and he tries to do so in full. Of course, he’s learning that there are those who don’t always want to play the damsel in distress…
