That's really depressing. I used to watch that show when I was little. Then I wake up this morning to find that -sniff- he's been impaled by a sting ray!
Apparently it got him through the heart in a freak accident. I can't believe it. *cries*

I know I was up really late last night trying to beat a videogame that I've been playing relentlessly when I found out. What a way to go, being impaled by a sting ray. xp

I know. He furking sticks his head in the mouths of crocodiles, but he didn't see the stingray coming. D=
My dad told me when I woke up this morning, and I was like,

it's sad that he's dead, but i bet if he could know that he went out while doing a nature documentary, he would have liked that. i once saw a show where he was petting & playing with some deadly poisonous blue-ringed octopusses, & i thought "something's gonna get that guy sooner or later" but it's still a shock eek

I think he tempted the fates too much. I mean, really, who stuffs their faces in crocodile's mouths and feeds them with his son in his arms? But still... out of all of the things he could have died from it turns out to be a stingray DD

I'll agree with you, Taito... he did some rather risky things that probably would have killed him off eventually anyway. He maybe could've been more careful.

And like rabbit said, at least he died doing what he loved. It's depressing enough as it is, but it would've been so much worse if he'd been shot by a crazed fan or something. -shudders- At least he was probably happy when he died.
What I liked is how he went into it completely respecting the animals, and wanting to conserve them. I have great respect for him.
