June 8th, 2006
"AHHH!" screamed Koko as the creature, that was perhaps twice her size, ran into her. She fell, but was unhurt, and giggled. "I'm ok" she declared, brushing some dirt off her slick, water resistent coat. "Glad Kanako isn't that hyp.." she began, and then groaned.
Kanako ran around, suddenly full of engery. He ran after the girl, grabbing her tail "Your IT!" he declared, weaving his way through the threees, and then turning back and coming torwards where koko was again. He wasn't exactly agile, still akward on the leggs, but was able to run with out falling down. that was a acomplishment.
Isa smiled genuinely, after -finally- having caught up with the bundle of raging energy that was none other then Petra. She heaved lightly, catching her breath, as she leaned against a massive oak tree for balance. That had been a rough chase- Isa was lucky she'd even caught up in time before Petra had gotten herself killed. Approaching Koko with what she hoped was a cheerful smile, Isa plopped down on the ground in front of the familiar Mamiren. "What a day! So sorry about Petra... She's been like this for the past few hours," Isa explained, her voice void of any enthusiasm whatsoever. "I can't seem to get her to cal-"
The moment that Petra felt the slightest bit of pressure upon her long, lanky tail, she'd froze. Her eyes, which had previously glistened with undisturbed happiness and energy, seemed to glaze over almost hypnotically. Within a fraction of a second, Petra had whipped her entire body around, and had shot a glare so feral at Kanako that Isa, who had been watching, slapped her forehead with her tiny paw in a sinking feeling of guilt. The dragonet's nostrils quivered lightly and she snarled softly, whipping her tail away from Kanako before she slunk- very predatorially- back towards Isa, where she promptly crouched against the ground and tried her very best to make herself invisible. ... What had that all been about?
All the jumping around going on all over the place woke up the little red furball who didn't have a name yet. He could feel the movements, and could tell that the light was bright again, but wasn't sure what else was going on. That smell was back, that was so comforting yesteday...and there were others. Hmm...would he be like this all his life?
Kanako turned around, looking for the female who he had pulled the tail off "Hey" he said gloomily. "I just wanted to pllaaayyy." He added poutingly, looking around for her. "No fun!" he declared, sitting down and crossing his arms. This didn't last long, and a few moments later he got bored, looking around for a new distraction. He looked at koko, with a sudden idea. He picked her up "Your littler then i thought" he said, looking sad. "wanna play tag?" he ask his mamiren.
Koko smiled "Kanako's eyes just opened...then he was hit by this fit of enery" she looked at him. It didn't seem to be a fit, it seemed like it was going to last. And last and last and last. A few moments later, she was lifted up, and felt very embaressed "Kanako...no....i don't want to play" she said, knowing he would get her very quickly.
Stormy whinned. They were making the ground shake soo much. How was she supost to sleep with all this noise. She made a little screach of displeasure, and tried to crawl away from the ruckus.
The little red one seemed to sense that there was something else around that didn't like all the excitement...maybe someone else like himself?..and for an instant, he seemed to know a direction. He started to try to crawl that way, difficult as it was.
Stormy felt someone coming torwards her. She changed directions, and went to it, and soon bumped heads with another pup. It didn't realy hurt, since theywere both going very very slow, ubut she made a noise of displeasure none the less. Interested, she sniffed his, putting her paws over his head, and soon began to chew with her toothless mouth on his ear, in a playful manner.
Thump! The feel of his tiny skull conking into another one was pretty odd, but it was nice to feel contact with anohter creature again. And this one smelled familiar too! It started chewing on his ear...quite a strange sensation. But it felt right, so he started to lick the other creature...that, too, felt right. In the back of his mind, the red pup thought to himself I think I've ment someone that may become a friend.
Stormy felt the warm lick onto her arm, and didn't mind very much. She didn't have a sentinel, nor any parents, so having another creature near by that wasn't making so many vibrationes was nice. She made a little sound of pleasure, as she decided the ear was very much well chewed, and found that there was ANOTHER. How lucky was she? So, she began to chew that one afterwards. her little tail moved back and forth slowly, she was happy to have met another like herself.
Apparently the other creature tired of chewing on the one ear, and it moved over to chew on the other. The small red one had a moment of fright...what if chewing on ears was a greeting, and this other was trying to teach him something! Had he gotten something important wrong? Oh no! Without trying to seem rushed, he nosed around until he found the ear. With a squeek of relief, he began to nibble on it. They must have been quite a sigh, with heads turned in such a way to make the double ear-nibbling possible.
Stormy felt a pang of irritation as the other chewed her ear, but figured since she was doing it, he was only fair that he could too. She pawed at the ground a bit, feeling the soft flower petals of the next, and let out a long yawn. He felt tired from the crawling and the chewing...it was all so much for a pup who just got out of her shell a few days ago. She yawned again, and stopped chewing the ear to rest her head on the ground, snuggling into the petals
It seemed like maybe he had done something right...the ohter one stopped with the ear chewing and seemed to lay down for a nap. Mmm....a nap. That would suit him well too. He wondered if the other one would mind sharing his napping space, but decided to risk it, and snuggled down.
Stormy cuddled against the other pup, because she was very cold in her thin coat. The ground was still pounding, and she made a hissing noise, as if to try to scare them. It didn't realy work, so she tried digging her head more into the flower petals, which if anything made it worst. She made another hissing noise, louder this time. It continued, those stupid pounders were ignoring her! With an angry groan, she tried to ignore it.
It seemed like the ohter one was upset over something. It kept making this strange movement...pushing air out of its little body. He oped he wasn't upsetting it...and started to move away just in case he was. But it had culddled against him, so he thought better, and snuggled some more. Maybe it's getting upset about all of the jumping around, he thought. He certainly hoped so.

June 10th, 2006 Stormy yawned, rolling over in the soft petals. They floated up into the air, softly drifting downwards, making a sparce blanket over her grey fur. She sneezed as one managed to land right onto her nose, and moved her little paw down her face to whipe off any of hte petals that had landed there. She made a little squeek of annoyance, her friend had left, and she didn't like being alone.
Azure rolled merrily along the ground. He hadn't mastered any ability to walk as he could barely even open his eyes yet, but rolling seemed to come naturally to the pup. The downside to this was, of course, the fact that he couldn't see, and often found himself rolling into things.
Not to mention the occasional wave of dizzy nausea. But that didn't seem to be the case today. No. Today was a day for rolling into things it seemed. First, it had been that tree. Then it had been that small turtle.
Now it seemed to be something a bit softer. Smaller than a tree, but bigger than the turtle. Not by much though. Squeaking out he pawed in Stormy's direction, wondering what this was now.
Stormy grunted when something rolled right into her. She made a little hissing noise, but was happy to have another friend come. A paw swiped across her face, and she sneezed again.
Sniffy Azure, stormy put her paws on his head, wondering if he had those things on his head that were fun to chew like the other had. To her great joy, he had one,...two! Two ears to chew! She made a little noise of happiness and began to chew on the little pups ears with her toothless mouth.
Oh no! Something had latched onto his ears and was trying to gum them right off his head! The sheer horror of it all! No wait.
... They were just drooling. Eiw. Well, it definitely wasn't a turtle. Poking at Stormy a few more times and sniffing at her as she chewed on his ears, he came to determine that Stormy was another pup, like him. She was about the same size anyways...
Letting out a pathetic sounding chirp of a noise, he tried to greet the ear nibbler now in his path of rolliness.
Stormy tried to ignore the pup's squirming under her. In her mind, this pup was here for one reason: To entertain her. Obviously, the pup didn't understand this concept. Stormy made a little noise in reply to the chirp, she could just barely hear it through her closed-up ear.
She moved to the secound ear, but went a bit to far and fell off the side of the pup. she whinned angrily, unhurt, but annoyed none the less. The soft petals once again flew everywhere...why couldn't these things just stay put?
Azure, if he could see, likely would have laughed if he could at Stormy's predicament. Instead he just let himself flop over onto his belly and wagged his teeny tail back and forth. Was it a new game? Did she like to roll too? If that was the case, Stormy was certainly a most awesome pup. Rolling back and forth, Azure began to chirp loudly, kicking up more of those petals Stormy so disliked letting fly about.
Stormy hissed, suddenly the pup next to her was making a big ruckus, and those stupid flowers were flying everywhere! She rolled over, and hit up against Azure.
She pawed at her face, the flowers were falling all over her, threatening to cover her up! With a noise of annoyence, she tried to get them off the rest of her body once her face was cleared, only to find more were falling. Was it raining petals?
Indeed, it would almost seem to actually be raining petals. Especially to the blind who simply couldn't see that little feet kept throwing them up into the air. Azure either ignored the hiss that came from Stormy, or he just didn't hear it. He was lost in his own world of petals, friends and rolling around.
This was so much fun, he was really enjoying himself. This other pup had found a great place to play!
Stormy crawled torwards the other, and found there were even MORE petals here. She pawed at him with all her might, which wasn't very much, so it wouldn't even hurt, and hissed.
She yawned, getting very tired, but HOW was she suppost to sleep with this other pup making such a big fuss! She made an angry sounding noise, and put both paws over her face, and the stupid petals kept raining down on her back. Soon she was covered in it, a very soft, silky, unwanted blanket.
A few more minutes of playing around and Azure finally stopped, stretching his back and nesting happily in a pile of the petals. He wriggled about as the other whined unhappily. What was her problem? Rolling slowly over to her, and off the petals, he nudged her lightly with his head. No being angry... be happy!
Stormy felt relived to have the whole stupid thing stop, and felt the other pup nuzzle her lightly. She let out a long sigh, the pup didn't seem to even relize it was HER causing all of stormy's anger.
But, she liked the company anyway. With another long yawn, she began to lick the other's forhead, letting their shared warmth comfort her, and calmed her down. She even didn't mind the stupid petals to much anymore, either. Well, maybe a little. But they wern't so bad.

June 12th, 2006
Stormy cringed, batting at her face. Some idiot was shoving berries in her face! She had just finished eating some, why the heck were there more? She made a hissing noise to show her anger. Something had found her the other day and just wouldn't leave her alone! Weather it was picking her up, petting her, or shoving those stupid berries in her face, it never stopped!
"Come on girly girl girl, eat your berries" he said, putting a few berries right under her nose to tempt her "You've gotta eat to grow!" he added. This was hopeless. The pup was adorable, but she was such a pain! Always hissing, and biting, and hitting him with her paw. All he was doing was helping her! He put the little pup down, and turned away, expecting her to cry from lack of attention. To his great anger, she seemed to settle down, and was happy that he was ignoring her...that little brat!
Aerith had managed to find her way to... a different part of the forest! She rarely wandered so far from the Village, but she was picking flowers, after all. Ears gave a little twitch, brow arching. "What's that," she asks herself in a quiet, sweet toned whisper. She started walking towards the fuss, sniffing at the air. She could smell a dragonet, and those motherly instincts started kicking in. Ohh, a pup too! Finally she could see the two she was hearing and smelling. With a comforting smile she approached, tail swaying side to side, the dress fit to her shuffling with the movement. "Hi there little guy!"
Stormy wrinkled her nose. She smelled...someone else here. Her senses wern't as acute as a grown tatsu's are, so she couldn't tell who it was, behond that it was another tatsu. She didn't realy care, it was just another stupid annoying thing to give her trouble. She made a hissing noise, to ward off the stranger.
Kanako's eyes widened. Before him stood a female tatsu, with the strangist fur he had ever seen. It moved like it wasn't connected to her. "I...i'm not little" was all he could manage. Kanako had barely seen any other tatsu, but this one was so, different, yet the same, as the ones he had seen before. How weird.... "you look funny" he said, to young to know that it was rude to say that.
Aerith just smirks at first, then shakes her head while having a little snickerfit. "You two are adorable. Feral, aren't you? I'm from the Village over there," she points far off in the distance, though about at that area beyond some trees was the spring. "Perhaps someday you'll venture there, little one. I'm Aerith... what's your name, sweety?" She knelt down and sat, picking up a little red flower from her basket, holding it out t him. She could tell the little stone-looking Tatsu didn't want to be bothered, so left the pup alone for now. But it is an odd looking pup... stone?
Stormy noticed that the newcomer didn't both her. Good. At least ONE tatsu around here knew how to take a hint. She yawned, curling up in the soft flowers. Maybe she could get some sleep now that she was left alone!
Kanako shut his eyes up tight. Why did she keep calling him little "i'm not that little..." he mumbled, so it sounded more like "mmnntittle", and a bit more loudly, "and my name is Kanako...whats yours" he looked her over again, touching the billowing dress with his paw. It felt funny "you still havn't told me why you are so weird" he added, not bothering to ask what a village was, or what feral was. He didn't want to give her any more reason to call him little.
Aerith arches a brow. "If you're not little, why can't you hear me very well? I said my name, cutie! It's Aerith. I also said I come from the Village." She took her paw back, placing the flower back in the basket. Rejected! "In the Village, some Tatsu wear things called clothes." She sighs, stalking around the boy to sit now before the stoney puppette. "And who is this, Kanako?" She didn't pester the girl, just examined without bothering her.
Kanako turned a bit red "sorry...must've missed that...clothes? Why?" he asked, in a nieve manner. It seemed odd to him. Imagining himself in that weird 'clothes' made him shudder. He looked down at stormy. "Eh? That's just stormy. She get angry alot...true to her name, i guess " he said, shrugging. Why did stormy get so cranky, anyway? He just barely remembered his pup-hood, and he was always begging for attention. This little girl didn't want it!.
Stormy tried to sleep, but everyone was moing around her, making the ground shake. Why didn't anyone get to just leave her alone?!?
Aerith wasn't heavy, and she stepped lightly. She was trying not to disturb the pup much... maybe this pup has superhearing and superfeeling.. supersenses! Superpup!
"Well, I suppose it's better not to add wood to this flame, huh? Poor little Superpup." Head turns, looking then at Kanako once more, deciding it's best to be still so the pup isn't disturbed. "Tatsu in the Village sometimes wear clothes because it can be rather fun to do."
It wasn't realy Aerith that was bothering Stormy. The stupid tatsu that was shoving berries in her face was shuffling around impaciently. She could feel vibrations in the ground well, with most of her other senses blocked out, it was alot easier to notice. Particularly when you were trying to sleep.
"Super...huh?" he asked. This tatsu was truely odd. "For fun, eh? I think i'll just stick with my fur..." he suddenly got a common tatsu- dragonett burst of energy. He moved torwards her, tapping her shoulder, and bolting away, saying old "Tag, your it!"
Aerith arches a brow. Just who was weird to whom, here? "I'm a little.. old... for...... games." Her voice died down, the Tatsu was gone before she could finish. She shrugs, looking down at the little pup she was left with. "Well Stormy it's just you and me until the little guy notices I'm not one for games." Warm smile on her face, bravely reaching down in a motherly fashion to pet the Tatsu's head and give a stroke of her cheek. "You remind me of a little gargoyle," she coos, chuckling. Sure, the pup couldn't hear her or anything... but still!
Stormy tensed up as she felt the paw on her head, making her hissing noise. She did this every time Kanako touched, so it was no big deal. Except, it did get tiring after a bit.
Kanako came back to where the clothed tatsu and the pup were. Why hadn't she wanted to play? He shifted his weight from one leg to the other, trying to think of a way to burn his energy. He ran over to her. "Too old for what? Tag? You can't be that old! Come onn..." he said, impaciently.

June 17, 2006 Kiyu perched at the edge of the waters of the Springs, staring down the crystalline clear water. It was her favorite thing to do! Sit by the water and watch the koi and the sun shine on the water, it looked so shiny. And the sound of the waterfalls were marvelous!
She was hunched down in pounce position - bum in the air, tail down but the end twitching to and fro every once in a while. Front paws under her her chin as cusion. Eyes were constantly moving, sparkling with the reflection of the water. This was the best time to catch her being calm and quiet. Kurai, her Kane, was on the Tatsu's bum, having a good enough view from her spot.
Kanako pouted. Stormy was nothing like he had hoped. Raising a pup was hard work (koko did most of it for him) and this was the reward he got! She was mean to him...she was angry all the time, and she NEVER wanted to play with him!
"You're no fun" he declared, bouncing up and down. He had alot of energy, and no one ever played with him...soo not fun
Stormy stared at kanako with her stoney eyes. He was so annoying, why couldn't he leave her alone!? All it ever was, lets do this, lets do that, lets play. Couldn't he take a hint? She made a hissing sound, and turned her back to him. "I never said I was any fun"
Feathery ears twitched like the flap of a hummingbird's wings. Fast, barely noticeable. She could hear someone nearby, two someone's actually, and she could smell them, but she paid no mind to them just yet, and kept watching her koi.
Then some of them darted away from her! She shot her head up at the two, huffing, "Quiet! You're scaring the koi away!"
Kanako looked up, there was another female tatsu here! "Oops....sorry. I didn't see you..." he said, walking over, ignoring Stormy's anger. Why couldn't she just me normal? "My name is Kanako, whats yours?" he asked, thinking to himself. Someting seemed faintly farmilar about this girl's smell. He had never seen her...and didn't recognize her voice, but still, her remembered her smell...
Stormy hissed louder. "Stop being such a push over Kanako!" she glared at the girl. "You can't make us be quiet. Say it nicer and maybe i will be" she said, whipping her tail back and fourth. She hated being bossed around, almost as much as she hated being annoyed....
Kanako gave stormy an angry look, which was rare for him, and turned back to the other female. "I'm sorry about stormy. She dosn't mean it...she just gets realy worked up sometimes over little things, even when she was a pup..."
"Shut UP! Of COURSE I mean it!" retaliated stormy, digging her claws into the ground. How dare he speak for her?! She wasn't a stupid pup anymore, she could speak for herself!
Kiyu was irritated as it was. Someone was scaring her friends away! "Ehh.. Kiyu." The Kane jumped off of the white Tatsu's back just in time for Kiyu to sit up and shoot a glare at Stormy. Her furs bristled and rose, a little growl in her throat. It might've been feminine and small, but still got the point across. She could tell Stormy was younger... but the stoney one packed quite the attitude. Typical!
Kiyu took slow steps toward Stormy, baring teeth. "Please," her tone was rather poisonous, "be quiet when I'm visiting with my koi friends." It was rare this girl was this upset, but when presented with a challenge, she'd defend herself!
Kurai watched, shocked, then looked up at Kanako. "She's never, ever done that before! ... you look familiar."
Kanako was very uncomfortable. He put his paw on Stormy's shoulder. "She didn't do anything to make you angry stormy...just drop it. She is older, and if you fought she would win. Plus, you havn't ever fought before, and its just not a good thing" he said, despretly not wanting anything bad to happen. Why couldn't stormy just be nice to everything? It wasn't hard...
"Thank you" said stormy, bearing her teath, and turning to give kanako her stormy glare. Big, stupid lug. Telling her what to do....but he did have a point. Stormy had a temper, but she wasn't stupid. She calmed herself down, letting herself become less tense. "That is all i wanted" she said, the edge not completely gone from her voice.
Koko had been out getting some berries, and had just arrived. The girls seemed angry, but stormy was calming down... she was such a grump! Koko looked at the dragonette, she seemed very, very farmilar, and then set her eyes on the kane. "Kurai!" she said happily. "Is this your little pup? Look how she has grown!"

July 5th, 2006 A little egg rested on a ledge, just inches from the surface of the lake, near the shore. The egg twitched, a long crack going along the side. Suddenly, it burst open, and a little Tatsu appeared. Pachu’s nostrils snapped shut and his gills began to work as he felt himself floating downwards. It wasn’t a pleasant feeling, and he instinctively spread out his webbed feat to slow himself. He didn’t have the strength yet, though, to hold his feet out and the pressure of the water properly, and he did a forward flip in the water. Eventually, he hit the soft silt on the floor of the lake.
Koko watched this event, and smiled. This was the first aquatic Tatsu she had ever seen! She down dove, cradling the little pup in her arms, she could barely hold him, feeling his smooth, water resistant fur that was just like her own. She surfaced, a grin on her face. “Kanako, look at this, I found an aquatic!”
Kanako looked up from behind a bush, he had been looking for berries. “I don’t want anything to do with pups. Last time I took care of one it ended up being.... OHHH IT IS SO CUTE!” he squealed, unable to contain himself. It was very cute, and he had never seen a Tatsu like this before. “Aquatic?” he asked, eyeing the gills and tail. “Does that mean he lives under water?
”Of course it does, stupid” Said stormy. Everyone always thought she was so mean, but it was really just stupid people that irritated her. Like Kanako. He should have been named Kan-state-the-obvious. She snorted, looking at the pup, and her heart melted. “Aww he is such a cutey wooty...” she looked up, every one was staring at her. “Well... he is” she mumbled.
Candy’s ears perked up as she heard all the commotion. “What’s going on?” She asked, bouncing to them. That was the new game she had made for herself. She wouldn’t walk anywhere, she would BOUNCE! It was sooo much fun. Funnity fun fun fun. “OHH! A PUP! AWW HE IS ADORABLE!” she screamed happily, practically tackling Koko.
Pachu squirmed. He was in open air now, and he felt funny. Breathing through his nose was weird, and he felt like he wasn’t getting enough air. He felt light, with out as much resistance as there is in the water. The water was all he had known for his entire life, although it had only been a few minutes. He whined, batting his paws around, trying to find the water and get back in it.
”Stormy don’t be so mean... Kanako be quiet..and you...I don’t know you but calm down” said Koko. What had been a peaceful moment between her and Kanako was now chaos. She was almost knocked off her feet by that crazy one, too! The little one seemed to be a bit fitful, making little whining noises and pawing about, it made it hard for her to hold him. She thought for a second, and then looked at Kanako. “Kanako, can you build a little underwater pen for this little guy? He can’t really swim yet, so you don’t want to make it too tall” She said. It seemed mean, but the lake could be dangerous for a newborn like this!
Kanako grinned. “OK Koko....ok ok..” He picked up some big rocks, and placed them in water that was up to his waist in a circle that was about 4 feet in diameter, and then used little rocks to fill in the holes. It was only about 10 inches tall, but it would get the job done. Kanako sighed, he hoped this Tatsu didn’t turn out like Stormy had. He chose to ignore her comment about him being stupid. He knew he wasn’t, and that was all that mattered.
Stormy glared at Koko. “Your not MY Mamiren, so I don’t have to listen to you. I wall be as mean to Kanako as a please” she growled. The poor little aquatic was making such a fuss... she couldn’t stand seeing it sad, so she snatched the pup up from Koko before she could do anything about it, and placed him in the water. “I am going to take care of this aquatic, and I don’t care what you all think” she said, throwing her head in the air. “And his name is Pachu” She stuck her hand under water, lovingly stroking his head.
Candy watched them fight, tilting her head to the side. She never fought with anyone. Everything was so happy and fun, what is the point of fighting? She bounced over next to Stormy, and looked at the adorable little pup. “Ohhh your taking care of him? Can I help, can I can I can I? Ohhh Pachu that is a cool name I would have named him... ummm BOUNCY! Yes I think bouncy is a better name but I suppose it doesn’t matter to you why are you all yelling at each other?” she took a few heaving breaths after her big long run on sentence.
Stormy looked over at Candy. “Shut up”

[quote="July 11th, 2006] Stormy looked down, petting the little aquatic. She had been taking care of it for a while now. He really was rather cute. “Pachu, you arnaud stupid like the others you know. You never bother me” she said happily. It was true. Normally if she spent this much time with anyone, she would have developed a hate for them by now. Maybe it was maternal instincts, or maybe it was that Pachu couldn’t talk, but she had really liked the little guy!
Pachu moved slowly around the bottom of his home. It was small, but he felt protected in his dark, soundless world. And there always seemed to be a comforting hand, feeding him, making him comfortably. He turned his head upward, rubbing his head on the hand, and then lovingly gave it a lick. Suddenly, he felt a lurch as his body went upward. This was familiar, but it got him by surprise every time it happened. He felt the water rushing past his body as he was moved upwards, and then was released just as he felt the water break to the air above him on his back. Then he began to sink again. He moved his paws, spreading out the toes into more proper flippers. For a moment he didn’t move, and stayed in water, and then slowly began to drift down again. He moved his legs again, and stopped again. How weird.
Stormy squealed in delight. Pachu was, however slowly, starting to swim! She felt like a proud mother. But, it was odd because she herself couldn’t swim. Well, she most likely could, but she had never tried. She was too afraid, because..well. She wasn’t an aquatic, she wasn’t made to go in the water like they are. But, she figured that she would have to learn eventually, so she could go swimming with Pachu when he was older!
Pachu continued to paddle, but soon felt his little muscles complain, and let himself drift to the bottom. The sensation of floating in the water completely on his own was very, very exiting. It made him feel strong and independent, although in reality he was just as helpless. After some time of rest, he hopped up and down a bit in the water, trying to get the sensation back, but he couldn’t get high enough. Darn.
