Kanako steched out, and for the first time, opened his eyes. The colors and lights rushed in and stung like someone had stabbed him in each eye. He whimpered, closing them up after the breif moment of pain. He calmed down, opening again. It was less instense, and he squinted for a bit, while waiting for his eyes to re-adjust. When they had, he uttered his first word: "wow".
Everything was so bright, so beautiful, he looked down at himself, to see vibrant shades of black and gold. He ran here and there, touching the things he had felt before, but never seen, and began to associate those things he had felt with an image.

Koko relized the ineviatble: Kanako was now a dragonet. He wasnt the cuddly little fluff ball he was before, but a strong, almost independent youngster. He was amazed by everything he was seeing, and she smiled proudly.

Kanako looked down, too see a grey ball of fur. "What is this?" he asked, looking at his sentiel, resisting the urdge to gasp, this is the first time he had bothered to see what SHE looked like, and almost laughed. She was alot smaller then he had imagined.

"Awww! How cute!" Koko said, looking at the grey ball. It was a baby Tatsu. She looked around, it was all alone. No mother, no father, no sentinel. She felt compelled to raise it like Kanako, but she knew that she was to be obligated to one tatsu, and one tatsu only "Its a baby, Kanako! You should take care of her for a while" she said warmly.

Kanako picked up the ball of fur, it was a girl, judging by the wings. He looked up in the sky, it was grey, a similar color to the pups fur. "is that how the sky always looks?" he asked, suddenly wondering, since it looked different off in the distance, and seemed to be moving.

Koko looked up "No...normally it is blue... Looks like a storm, maybe" she said

Kanako grinned, holding the baby up and comparing her fur with the sky "Can i name her?" he asked, eagerly. Koko nodded. "Your name is Stormy!" he said happily, petting her.

"STOP THAT! COME BACK HERE RIGHT NOW, OR I PROMISE YOU! PETRA! GET BACK HE-" The agitated, furious screams that were erupting from the already sore vocal cords of one exhausted Mamiren were suddenly muted. Isa had been screaming her little heart out for the past forty five seconds, demanding things like 'Petra, get back here!' and 'Petra, put that down!' The most commonly repeated one, however, was 'If you touch that again, you'll regret it!' It didn't seem at all as though the silvery black sentinel was having much fun with her newly grown pup at all.

Petra, of course, was feeling the exact opposite of Isa. Instead of regret and defeat, the lively, though rather petite, runty creature was running wild. Her hardly functional wings were fluttering madly against her back, and the dragonet was frolicing- running- sprinting, rather, full speed in unpredictable directions. Here and there she'd pause to rip off a flower or a leaf from a tree, but besides that, she was a wound up ball of energy simply being released. All that time digging and burrowing she'd spent as a pup seemed to have created a total polar opposite reaction now as she'd grown.
She was moving so fast, and so quickly, that her large, frosty golden eyes didn't even take in her surroundings- and the little girl collided head on- straight into Koko. Terrific.

It almost seemed as though she'd come from nowhere. Perhaps she'd been there the whole time?... In either case, the dark colored pup seemed to be making a point to say out of sight and out of mind. The little creature had nestled herself beside a lush shrub that was sprouting beautiful pink flowers. While she herself- black and copper, didn't quite fit in, the darkness from the shade the bush produced gave her both cool and protection.

Petra cooed softly to herself, satisfied with her little scheme to remain unnoticed. If all went well, the blind, deaf creature would be relaxing lesuirley in no time- undisturbed and calm. Her little body quivered occasionally, adjusting to the cooler temperature underneath the shade, but all in all, the baby was content. What a lovely world this was... When she wasn't being bothered, that is.

Kiyu still pawed blindly at the air, until she was able to roll over and nestle into the silky petals again. The moon was starting to rise with the sun setting, and soon the kiyu flowers would be putting on a spectacular little show. "I do hope so, it would be nice to see many Tatsu frolicing about by the springs." She looked up at the sky and smiled, "Moon will be greeting the flowers soon. Know what that means?" Sly look over at Koko.

Meanwhile, Keki was wandering around! I`a was out of the soggy black pack, and instead there were a bunch of different flowers inside of it! Keki had a mischeivous little smile on his maw while walking through the forest, and stopped to pick some pink flowers from some more shrubery to stuff away in his bag.

I`a looked at the bush and grass, noticing the copper coloring of something. He liked shinies. He walked toward it, then gasped and ran back to Keki, tugging at a tailfeather. "KEKI! DUDE. There's a pup! Like, one not in the nest!"

"I know there's pups, I`a, we watched 'em hatch earli - oh!" He shoved the rest of the flowers he'd picked in the bag and scooped up the pup carefully and hauled her to the nest. "Musta' wandered too far, ey dude?" I`a nodded. Neither of them knew the pup WANTED solitude! Poor Petra.

Just as the little pup was about to let out an apprehensive yawn- a sort of declaration of calm tranquility, she was physicall assaulted! Her little velvety jaw opened- but not to let out a yawn of happiness. Instead, an unpleasently pitched, out of tune screech erupted from those tiny lungs of hers. Who would've guessed?

The pup cried out, very unhappy at the fact that she'd been picked up and removed from her happy place. Her little mouth snapped at the air, as if she were attempting to attack whatever had relocated her. Refusing to admit defeat, as the older creature placed her down, Petra's tiny body began to writhe around, her itty bitty legs flailing in out every direction. After several moments of her fit, the pup realized that she was not going to get her way. Not this time, at least. Grudgingly, she seemed to calm down a bit, plopping her head ontop of her paws reluctantly. Her tiny, useless wings fluttered half heartedly on her back. Hrrrmph!

She was a fiend. Yes- that was the proper word. Fiend. She could scramble like no other- bark and peep when she was in trouble, and tuck-n-roll into the most bizarre of niches in order to hide from prying eyes. Yes... Petra was a fiend. Unfortunately for the young pup herself, she hadn't the slightest was a fiend was. Come to think of it, she hadn't a slightest what she was! For all she could've guessed, she could be a rock! A mobile rock! After all- she couldn't see or hear, so how else was she supposed to assume her own species?

Gosh. All of that perplex thinking had worn Petra out. The little pup yipped softly under the deluded impression that nobody was going to hear or notice her after that little blunt demonstration of existance. Rolling happily out of her little ditch, the young creature let out a painstakingly cute yawn. Who knew such a darling little creature was such a menace at heart?

Koko hoisted Kanako to his feet, he was about the size of him now, if not bigger, and she was worried that soon he would be bigger. She was tryign to teach the little Tatsu how to walk on all fours as opposed to the crawling motion he usually dide. SHe steddied him, and let go.

For a few moments, kanako stood there. His eyes and ears were still closed, but his constent crawling and playing had built up his leg mucles a bit. He whined, not aware of what he was supost to do when he was like this. He picked up a paw, and soon found himself laying on the ground, his legs spread out.

An older female Tatsu noticed the young one trying to learn to walk, under the patient care of a Kane. She walked over.

"Come here little one," she coaxed. "You're doing well so far."

Petra cooed softly. Alright, so she'd given in- but it was just once! It wasn't like she'd gone all soft and gooey on her exterior and started handing out flowers and jars of love to everyone! She'd just made one friend. A single, solitary, numero uno friend. And that was Isa- her cheerful, affectionate, busy-bodied little Sentinel. The black and silver creature fluttered happily around Petra's curled up, half asleep body, her tiny wings effortlessly letting her hover around the area.

Petra, clearly displeased with Isa's happy flutterings, grunted softly, burying her velvety black muzzle into her forepaws with agitation. She hadn't noticed if there were any other Tatsu around- otherwise surely she would've been a tad bit more quieter. Silly girl.

Koko smiled at the older tatsu coming over, glad to have some more company "He is trying his best... he just gets his legs so tangled up when he tries to walk" She said with a giggle "I think i may be hurrying him to much...still just a pup.." she said ot herself, noticing the other pup cooking not far off with her sentinel.
"She is adorable!" commented koko, with a smile.

Kanako fora moment lay there, curious to why his mamiren wasn't fussing and petting him as she normally did. Then, to break the feeling, he made a whining noise, fussing and trying to crawl in the direction that he was sure his sentinel was.

Petra cooed lightly, her little tail thumping gently against her hindquarters. Just before she was about to let out a small squeak, her tiny nostrils quivered, and her entire body ceased movement. There were... others around. A small snarl curled at the edge of her muzzle, and Petra did her very best to scurry into what she hoped was a small, dark thicket in which she could blend in- and totally disappear.

Isa, who was quite disappointed with Petra's unsocial behavior, clicked her tongue cheerfully and fluttered above the desired bush, plopping down and blocking Petra's entrance. "Silly girl!" she chided playfully, well aware that Petra was deaf to her. "How about you make some friends, little one?" the Sentinel suggested lovingly, poking Petra's nose playfully.

The dragonette female moved closer to the pup who had been struggling so hard, and nuzzled him gently. "You're doing fine little one." Then she turned. She was SURE that she'd heard something in the distance....the sound of something skuffling under some bushes...
Koko watched the other tatsu scurry away. "She seems a little shy" said koko to Isa. Maybe not shy, but more unwilling to meet other people.

Kanako felt a nuzzle. He cooed, and licked the object that was touching him. He, unlike Petra, loved attention. He got lonely in his dark, silent world, and always welcomed a bit of comfort.

Being licked brought out a maternal gush of love for the little blind baby. She turned to his sentinal. "How old is he? He's so adorable, and seems to have a great personality developing already."
Then she turned, still listening for the reply, but also checking out where the other little one must be hidden. She wondered how old it was, and why it didn't seem to want to make friends.

Isa shook her little head feverently, sighing lightly. "Petra's been acting like this an awful lot. Ever since I found her, I've grown terribly attached to her!" she squeaked happily, flutering a little further away from the other Sentinel and a bit closer to the bush that Petra was hiding within. "She doesn't seem to mind me too much, but she absolutely refuses to play with anybody else." Isa felt as though maybe she should be feeling fortunate- but she only found guilt when she hadn't the slightest clue as to why Petra was so isolated.

The little pup grunted softly, feeling Isa's wings beating lightly against the bush, which tickled the pup gently. Squeaking almost in shock, Petra wiggled her way out of the underbrush, annoyed by the gentle brushings of the leaves. Her small tail thumped cautiously against her hindquarters, and the blind creature yipped softly once more for her Sentinel.

Koko smiled. "He is just under a week old. I hope you are right!" she said with a grin, proud of the little one. She turned to isa "She seems to like you an awful lot. I am sure she will be better when she is older. At least a bit better. It might be scary for her, with all the strange people..." she said, wondering what is was like, not being able to hear or see/

Kanako continued to lick the tatsu near him, scooting closer to her. He wanted all the attention he could get!

Tera saw the antisocial little one poke her head out of the bushes at the tickling of her sentinal, and decided to walk a bit over towards her, but the licking pup was just too cute. She snuggled it one more time, before moving slowly over towards the other.

Isa nodded with good nature, sighing thoughtfully before she looked towards Kanako. "You seem to be having much better luck with your pup then I am!" she observed unnecessarily, smiling kindly to the other Sentinel. "I do hope you're right... Though something tells me that this little girl won't be so different as she ages." There was a thoughtful, deep pause in Isa's voice before she continued again. "So how did you find your little pup over here?" she asked, genuinely interested.

What was this? Isa was the -only- creature that Petra would go near willingly, and she was talking to someone -else-? Enraged that the Sentinel would even think of making other friends without Petra, (not like she wanted to anyway, of course!) the pup began wiggling with great determination in the direction she hoped Isa was in, ready to give that other creature a piece of her mind.

Tera saw the pup begin to wiggle a little harder, coming out of the bush. "Oh look!" she said to the sentinal, "It looks like she may just be intersted in meeting people."
"Kanako is always looking for attention. It gets tedious when he makes a big fuss everytime i go off" she looked down at her little tatsu, stroking his head "And even if she isn't the most social, I am sure she will find some friends, eventually" said Koko "I found the egg in the forest..it just felt right, you know? I started visiting it every day...and one day i found it in peices, but no baby. I freaked...but later found out another tatsu had brough Kanako to this place with the other babys!"

Kanako seemed irritated that the tatsu had left, but began edging torwards Koko, who was petting him again, making a cooing sound of pleasure

Isa smiled gladly as Koko spoke, nodding occasionally. Her own story was very similar. "The little girls' egg was- big suprise- half buried in the dirt between the roots of a massive oak tree. I stayed beside it until it hatched- and I was ready to just leave after I made sure she was out of the shell alright... But then she started to wail, and so I stayed. I haven't left since," Isa said cheerfully with a bit of playful grudgingness in her voice- all in good nature.

Finally! It sure did take Petra an awfully long time just to get where she wanted to be. A little grunt parted her nostrils as she finally bumped head first into Isa's side, squeaking irritably as she made her grand arrival. Her head shook angrily and her paws batting lightly at the ground, as if she were trying to grab Isa. -Trying- being the key word.

Koko giggled as Petra crawled out and pawed at Isa "They are so adorable...its just freaky that one day they will be wayyy bigger then us..." she said, sighing, half wishing they would stay this little forever.

Koko seemed to be forcused on something else. Jelous, Kanako whined loudly trying to climb onto his sentinel. He pawed at her armed, trying to get a grip and hoist himself up onto her, unsuccessfully.

Isa grinned lightly, landing ontop of the pup and gently settling on her back. Isa was light weighed, and she knew that her weight wouldn't bother Petra in the slightest.
"Well, we have plenty of time before they outgrow us," she said hopefully, smiling down upon the tiny pup. "At least, I hope we do." she added hastily, wondering just how large Petra could grow to be.

Petra's nostrils quievered lightly, and even after Isa settled on her back, she froze. There was another one... Another creature. Like her. She could just tell! Snorting with dignity, Petra wiggled her body a bit, trying to curl into a ball- unsucessful due to the fact that Isa was currently sitting on her spine.

Koko smiled "yea...he is growing so quickly! I think his eyes will open any day now...and his ears too..." she helped kanako sit on her lap, he was already as big as her, if not bigger, so that was a bit tough. She laughed "He thinks that he is very little..."

Kanako nuzzled his sentinal lovingly, and then began to lick her arm, trying top become the center of attention again. He wiggled slightly, whineing to her, wondering why she wasn't petting him.

Isa smiled kindly, lowering her head a bit to watch Petra as she froze beneath her, unmoving once more. A small, disappointed sigh passed through the Sentinel's lips, and she shook her head just slightly. "I really do hope that she stops being so cold and unsocail. If she's like this as a mere pup, I'm afraid she'll only get worse as she ages!" she admitted sadly, bringing a teeny paw to pat lovingly at Petra's head.

The little pup cooed sadly- why were there so many others around!? In a bit of desperation, Petra began to scuttle foward, entirely unaware that she was about to bump headfirst into-

Isa squeaked with suprise and Petra yelped loudly as she collided into Kanako's Sentinel, flailing backwards as Isa fluttered off of her Tatsu. "Oh my! Sorry about that!" Isa squeaked apologetically, before realizing she didn't even know the other's name. "Oh! I'm Isa," she added lamely, smiling lightly.

Kekipi came wandering in the area, Kiyu in his arms like a baby. He pretty much dubbed himself the pup's father, even though he was a far cry from a fatherly figure. "Hey dude, more pups!" His tail excitedly whipped the air back and forth, giddily moving an arm quickly to point at the pups. Then used both arms to hold the pup again. If the two Mamirens were wondering how big a Tatsu would get, they'd see now! While they were about a foot tall or so, he was a tad over 3 feet.

I`a was, as usual, halfway in the small black backpack, his little paws on Keki's shoulder. He was proud to see Keki maturing. Then he went and acted all childish with new pup notice!

Kiyu was asleep in Kekipi's arm, front paws over her chest cutely. There was a new flower in her hair. Her ears were properly working, but that was all. She made a little baby growly roar of sorts, a little hello to the pups.
Koko smiled "Well...even if she is unsocial, it isn't to bad of a think. She will always have you" she said. Giggling as Petra ran into her. "Oh...hehe.. don't worry." She risked reaching down and patted petra quickly, afraid the Tatsu might be angry wit her for that.

Kanako made a whimpering noise as he sensed some comotion around him. He nipped at his sentinal, as if to say 'who cares what else is going on. Pay attention to me!

Isa smiled with a light giggle as she watched Koko cautiously pat Petra. "Smart of you," she commented playfully, watching as Petra's tiny jaw opened and snapped closed warningly. What a curious little thing.

Noticing Kanako's protest at lack of attention, Isa grinned and fluttered off of the distressed Petra's back, only to land softly beside Kanako. "Hello little fellow!" she chirped happily, her tiny hand landing gently on Kanako's head.

It seemed as though neither Isa nor Petra noticed the arrival of three new creatures!

Keki, aware he was unnoticed, steps closer to the little group. "Duuudes, hello. Righteous evening, yah?" He set Kiyu down.

I`a recognized Koko and gave her an idle wave, not forgetting the diss he'd recieved! Clowfish colored Mamiren refused to move out of the pack. He was in his favorite perch, after all. "Hello fellow Mamiren, I'm I`a and this is Kekipi and that little dudette there is Kiyu."

Kiyu fussed in Keki's arms until the adult finally put her down. When that happened, Kiyu waddled over to the pups and squeaked. That sort of 'I demand attention' squeak!
Finally taking notice of the new arrivals, Isa smiled cheerfully, watching as a new group of creatures made their appearence. "Hello!" she called to no one in particular, her silver eyes glancing hopefully towards Petra. She doubted that the pup would be up for interaction, but she could at least, hope!

Petra, who wasn't exactly sniffing out the newcomers at the moment, hardly took notice of them. She grunted lightly, trying to relocate Isa.

Isa was not in a good mood. She'd been very patient with Petra for the past few days, but enough was enough! The little fluttering creature finally let out a heaving whine before she collapsed on the ground, her lanky arms resting in her lap.
"Fine, Petra!" her high voice chided unhappily. "You win! Stay in there, for all I care! I don't- as a matter of fact, I don't care!" she preached to the partially deaf pup... Though if Isa's predictions were correct, Petra was slowly becoming more and more aware of her surroundings- and that included accelerating hearing.
The sentinel huffed sadly, pulling her tiny body up onto a leaf beside a small, barely noticeable burrow-type hole in the dirt beneath a bush.

Jammed inside, quite comfortable, was the petite, scrawny body of a newborn Tatsu. Petra's velvety black muzzle was pressed against the soft earth lightly, and every time she made a soft noise- even if it was just a delicate peep- it was muffled entirely by the dirt. She was content, and that was all that mattered! Petra, at the moment, couldn't quite care at all if Isa was unhappy with her hiding, digging, and burrowing habits. If it kept Petra away from everyone else, then Petra was happy!

Kekipi was babysitting Kiyu as always. He was watching her grow and he had to admit it was pretty awesome. But today, he wasn't carrying Kiyu. The pup was getting older by the day! Kiyu slowly followed after as Kekipi spotted Isa and Petra. "Dude, a pup!" He couldn't remember if he'd met this one before. Lately there were pups fallin' out of the sky! Tubular. Keki walked up to the two and poked the spot of dirt where Petra was.

I`a was perched on the same spot as always, tail shuffling around inside the black backpack on Keki's back. "Yeah man, there seems to be a lot of pups lately. Good to see the population rising." I`a looked behind him, curious and careful eye watching Kiyu. He smiled and turned forward again.

Kiyu was pretty much minding her own business, beboppin' along on all fours, sometimes stumbling. Her eyes were open and ears hearing normally. Wings were a tiny bit bigger since birth, and she was more playful as days pass. Hopping aside her was Kurai, the same Kane in all her pride and glory, but she too was getting a little bigger with time.
Isa's initial response to the arrival of all these new creatures was simple: fear. What would they think if they saw what little visible area of Petra? It wasn't that she was crazy! Oh no, I do hope they don't think she's crazy... Of course not! Petra was just... antisocial? And that was being generous. There seemed to be something much deeper churning about in Petra's mind rather then the lack of wanting to socialize. What, exactly, made her so isolated, Isa still hadn't the slightest.

Realizing that these others were harmless, and that they would only want to introduce themselves, Isa relaxed visibly, slumping happily against the leaves of the bush. "Hello!" she called out to none of them in particular, but instead as a whole group. "I'm Isa!" was her friendly introduction, and the little creature smiled brilliantly- clearly pleased to be around someone else other then her grumpy pup.

Kekipi gave a thumbs up along with a "Yo!" He still stood on his hinds, not quite ready to sit down or anything. "I'm Kekipi, the pup here is Kiyu with her Kane, Kurai. And this -"

"I`a!" the Mamiren blurted, grinning cheesily. He tries tobe SUCH a charmer! He 'smoothed' his antennae back and wiggled his eyebrows, "What's up my fine dark friend?"

Kiyu stopped when she was next to Keki. She looked up at him saying her name, ears twitching. She still had the flower in her hair, often replaced with a new one. Her nose wrinkled, and she sneezed rather suddenly, the giggled, "K...eeeey... Keeey-yuuuu..."

Kurai gasped and hopped around front of Kiyu, "Oh my! Kiyu spoke!" Kiyu looked at Kurai, grinning widely, slowly repeating her name just the same as she did a moment ago. It shocked Keki too. I`a was busy charming the femmes as always.

Isa tried desperately to follow as Kekipi listed off the names of who was who- but truth be told, the little Mamiren found herself getting lost in all the k's. Smiling sheepishly, she nodded vaguely, extending a skinny little paw to the hole that Petra was busy burrowing in. It had almost seemed as if the pup sensed their presence and was now trying to hide further into the hole.

"That's Petra," Isa said with a defeated sigh, only to be brought back to attention by the fellow Mamiren, I`a. With a wry grin, Isa couldn't help but to let a small giggle fall out as the other sentinel introduced himself. Isa, of course, had the mentality of perhaps an eleven year old. Boys still had cooties at her age! "Oh, nothing!" she responded in a sing-song voice, her little wings letting her flutter onto a sturdy twig as she smiled happily, looking down towards Kiyu.

She listened intently at the Tatsu began to speak, and she too was impressed with the little girl's work. "Lovely!" she chirped happily, bringing her paws together to clap lightly.
