One in the same, while at the same time being completely different.
Both of these mechanisms were created by none other than Khemia himself, at the request of Hollow. Not to harness the power for himself, but instead to have somewhere that they could safely keep all the stones without destroying themselves by touching them. As these Stones weren’t created by either Hollow or Khemia, they were unable to do anything to destroy or seal them away. Although after an event that almost led to everyone's destruction, Khemia took both mechanisms and hid them away, while Hollow took the Stones and hid them all across his own Reality. Although Khemia could’ve just as easily destroyed the mechanisms he created, the pair decided it was safest to keep them intact, should a threat ever come that they were unable to defeat themselves. But as time went on, they forgot where they hid them, and as such were unable to use them in battle against The Galaxia Mage and his commanders.
The Aeon Mechanism is an incredibly powerful artifact created in our world, though the creator is unknown. It seems to be a shapeless device, which takes the form of what the user feels most comfortable with. This means it could appear as anything from a gauntlet, to a sword, and even a hat. It appears to be golden in color, though with a very noticeable white sheen. This is due to it being created from what is known as "Hollownium", a very sought after material which was created from Hollow's own crystallized blood. Arguably the most powerful material in Existence, it seems to be used mainly as a "conduit" for other artifacts. This "Aeon Mechanism" was created for this sort of purpose. When it came to light that six powerful stones existed, known simply as the "Aeon Stones", with the mechanism having been named after them. These six stones are incredibly powerful on their own, but if all are gathered and placed into this mechanism, their wielder would be able to overwrite this very Existence itself. As such, their location isn't known to any, even Hollow, who had placed a powerful spell on them so they could never be seeked through visions or any sort of omnipotence.
The Eternity Mechanism seems to be almost the same as the Aeon Mechanism, but instead existing in the Mirror Dimension, this Existence's very own "reflection". The mechanism there seems to work in the same way the Aeon Mechanism does, but is instead silver, with a noticeable black sheen. This is due to being created by Hollonium's own opposite material, "Wollonium". Other than these differences, and instead being used as a conduit for the "Eternity Stones" which exist over on the other side, these two objects are nearly one in the same. The strangest thing is that they work no matter which World they may be in, meaning anyone who comes to wield both would be, without contest, the most powerful being to have ever existed, triumphing over even Hollow and Wolloh. But, as their locations are lost to everyone, including those two, the chances of that happening are almost impossible.
