Champions are those that have been chosen by a god/goddess (major or minor) to carry out some sort of mission for them. These missions can vary greatly, from being as simple as retrieving a special weapon to something as grand as conquering an entire nation. To ensure their mission is a success, the god or goddess will give their chosen Champion a fraction of their power, making their chosen even more powerful while in the process making themselves weaker. It’s possible for anybody to be a Champion, and there are no prerequisites to becoming one so long as they’re one of the “Sentient Races”.

Upon their mission being completed, a Champion is granted one single, absolute wish (so long as it doesn’t involve world domination or reviving the dead), so long as it is within that god or goddesses’ power. Gods and goddesses with children of their own (Demigods) are incapable of choosing any Champions, as their children are effectively their own Champions. Although it is possible, although incredibly rare, for a Demigod to be chosen as a Champion by another god or goddess, with the same rules as above applying.

The powers a Champion receives is heavily dependent on the god or goddess that has chosen them, with their abilities often reflecting their god or goddess. Although it should be noted that they aren’t given any absolute power, they can still be a force to be reckoned with by someone unprepared. Due to the array of gods and goddesses within The Hollow Pantheon, there are all sorts of interesting and crazy abilities to be had.
