Many have heard it mentioned, but none truly remember it for what it truly was. Except for very few. The events of it seem not to be listed in any texts, and those that do mention it only mention how terrible a battle it was.
It all began many millennia ago, long before the Realms as we know them today were apart as they are now.
There was once a time when all the Realms were one, known simply as "Fredlig Enhet". There was no such thing as battle or war, and the races that existed at the time lived in peace and unity. Long before even the Gods and Devils had fully turned to "evil". Everyone was happy, and they thought it would be like that forever.
But then, The Court broke free from their "imprisonment". The Knight was sent forth, to spread his lies and deceit into the ears of all. Although his main two targets were the eldest sister and younger brother of The Original Ones, Diaño and Theós (respectively). He told them how the other despised their creation of the Gods and Devils, with the other thinking their own was better. It was this small instigation that sparked The Great War in the beginning, but the many events in between are what truly had an effect on the Realms. Diaño and Theós brought their fight down to The Lower World, Fredlig Enhet, and began their battle. Everyone believed this to be the "End of Times", and fought to survive. Though they had never picked up weapons before, members of The Court had disguised themselves, blending in and teaching them. Friends turned against friends, father and sons murdered each other mercilessly, and in the end there was only a mountain of corpses left.
The Court found this to be rather amusing, much more fun that just sitting back and watching everyone live peacefully, and frolic in the flowers. With just a few simple lies and a bit of involvement, they had single-handedly caused the Apocalypse. The different array of races that existed at the time seemed to quickly develop military tactics and weapons, quickly rising to the creation of Magic that was so powerful, it could level an entire city with one blow. As they all continued to fight against each other, Diaño and Theós continued their own battle. Each of their blows shook the world, and each step caused tsunamis across the continents. Onigashi was unable to do anything to help, his power having been considerably weakened when he created the Titans, and protected the creations of his own siblings. His youngest sister, Hajimari, took it upon herself to try and bring a stop to the battle between her siblings in Onigashi's place. She placed herself between the two in an attempt to stop them, and was instead cut down by them. As her lifeless body fell to the sea floor, Onigashi was overcome with rage. Drawing forth what was left of Hajimari's lifeforce, he created a giant spear which he ran through both Diaño and Theós with.
Those that survived the brutality of the war up until now, and the cataclysmic events that were occurring due to the war between the two Original Ones, could only look up in fear and awe as the two gigantic entities fell, their blood staining the sea a deep hue of crimson and white. Onigashi, upon realizing the mistake he had just made, mustered the lifeforce of his other two siblings, and morphed the bodies of his now three deceased siblings into a whole continent, which came to be known as "The Titan's Warpath" in the Realm of Somnidei. After hundreds of years, The Great War was supposedly over... but that was before The Court intervened once more. They decided to make themselves fully known, and ruled the other races with an iron fist. Those that wouldn't bow to them suffered torture beyond imagination, breaking both their minds and bodies until they were forced to kneel. Onigashi decided that he had enough of this, and challenged the entire Court to combat. They just proceeded to laugh in his face, and split the World apart, creating the many Realms we know today. Stuck in an empty space, and all help gone from him, Onigashi was truly alone. He had no one to help him.
The ending of this story is listed within the tale of The Ancient Lands, so it won't be repeated here once again. While the ending wasn't what one would deem perfect, it wasn't the end, either. Instead, it became a new beginning.
