PRO BENDING RULES
1. You may not use illegal moves. Firebenders can only send fireballs from their fists. Waterbenders may only launch water from the below area. Earthbenders may only grab and throw the discs. Airbenders can only throw jets of air from their fists and palms. These moves can all be used in conjunction with the principals of specific bending styles, and defensively, but other moves are not tolerated.
2. The Avatar can only use one element in the Pro Bending Arena. If they are in a team with an air and water bender, they may choose either fire or earth, not both. To keep the Avatar from an unfair advantage, they must declare their chosen element before each tournament.
3. If you are impacted directly by a technique, with little to no defense against it, you will move a MINIMUM of one stage back. If the impact is strong enough, you may be kicked several stages back or even flat out thrown outside of the arena. A Crew judge will determine if the impact would be strong enough for one stage, several stages, or a knock-out.
4. The Avatar state, and Spirit Bond abilities or advantages, are not allowed.
5. If everyone on your team is knocked out of the arena, you lose. Every round is all-stakes - this means that if you lose, you lose, and are gone from the tournament. There is no best out of (x) matches in regular tournament probending.
6. In the Probending Ring, everyone only has 150 Chi. The only technique usable is the 10 Chi freestyle bending to do your basic attack for the round.
7. Pro bending matches go towards training. They can be used to apply for style credits in the Natural Progression thread (here)
