With our unique training system, you may learn styles not just by word count but also by means of participating in events. If you partake in an event, even if it is run by other players and not Crew, as long as there is combat or training involved in some way then you may post here and the Crew will decide how much of a boost in your style progression you deserve. You may warrant a single stage in a Style, two Stages, even three, or perhaps nothing at all. It all depends on your contribution to whichever plot you took part of.
To apply for these progression bonuses, merely post a link to your first post in that event and we will give you "Stage Credits" - you can spend these advancing a stage of a style.

Gonna set the precedent: Anika and Han
This thread would be deserving of one Style Credit for both parties, as they participated aptly in an event but it was not a very developed event comparatively to your average expected situation. Heavy combat was involved, though, so a judge of your participation may decide that it deserves a reward; I would assign one Style Credit to this thread for each participant. Of course, I won't be assigning one to myself, so that's up to another to decide.
But Anika gets +1 Credit.
