Vampires
"Vampirism is considered a curse. Creatures of the night, they are created from the Human Race"xxxxx◦ Vampires cannot take Necromancy or Corpus magic as spells.
xxxxx◦ Siring. Only a pure human may be made a vampire. In order to sire a new vampire, the human's blood must be completely drained from them; once 'dead', a vampire must feed the human their blood.
xxxxx◦ While vampires are commonly thought soulless husks, elevated from other undead, this isn't true. They bear a cursed soul, their nature twisted by such powerful magic the curse has never been undone.
xxxxx◦ Anyone who drinks a vampire's blood is enthralled to them after the 3rd drink
xxxxx◦ Vampires are naturally quicker and stronger than most races.
xxxxx◦ Seduce or Charm. Without need of magic, vampires gain the effects of 'Charming Mein' so long as they maintain eye contact.
xxxxx◦ Night Vision. As creatures of the night, vampires have extraordinary night vision. Comparable to Drow gift.
xxxxx◦ Know the Blood. Without need of magic, vampires have the ability to determine race, gender, and age of the source of blood they drink, as well as knowledge of what happened to make them lose their blood and if they are currently alive or dead.
xxxxx◦ Vampires do not need to breathe. As such, they can be submerged in water without drowning.
A vampire may choose three of the following abilities/gifts:xxxxx◦Inhuman Strength
xxxxx◦Inhuman Speed
xxxxx◦Sprout Claws (grow claws in 1 post. These claws inflict a magical infection)
xxxxx◦Animal Form (may shapeshift into either a bat, a wolf, or mist. Only one, can NOT have ability to change into both.)
xxxxx◦Forgetful Bite (the victim does not recall the bite afterwards)
Pleasure Trip (vampire may choose to make its bite feel pleasurable; type of pleasure depends upon vampire's personality.)
xxxxx◦Dead Flesh (no vitals means they are hard to hurt)
Mandatory Weaknesses:xxxxx◦Sunlight. Skin burns and ashy flaking begins when exposed to direct sunlight. Long periods of exposure can result in loss of limbs and even death. (Trick? Umbrellas!)
xxxxx◦Starvation. A vampire must feed once every 2 days.
xxxxx◦Staking. Stakes do not kill Vampires. Staking a Vampire will cause paralysis and place them in Torpor (A death like coma until they're fed)
xxxxx◦Holy. Vampires are cursed beings and are unable to withstand the forces of conviction and goodness. They are unable to enter holy places and are repulsed by holy relics and magics. Holy energy is twice as effective against them.
xxxxx◦Silver. When struck by silver, they suffer 1 additional Hit Point of damage.
xxxxx◦Infertility. Vampires cannot reproduce as humans do. Vampires ‘reproduce’ by siring.
