History Of Erstonia
Long ago two large slaving ships ran aground on a dead land. The ships were wrecked, leaving the slaves and their owners stranded. Without a vessel to send for help, they had no place to go but to stay. The slaves built small homes for their masters of a ship that was no longer sea worthy. As for the other, the slaves were forced to work on it day in and day out, hungry, over heated, and sick. They worked while the masters explored the land and took in its riches.
Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, the slaves started perished one after another while their masters grew fat, and happy, strongly considering staying. I wasn't but four months after they arrived that the ship was ready to set sail, the cluster of slaves a third of what it used to be. They'd set sail in the morning.
However, it wouldn't be so. On that night a man, cloaked in beauty would come to the slaves. His name was Rionus. He explained to them that this was his land, and he has taken pity on them. They were freed from their bondage, their masters laid dead in their beds, and the slaves rejoiced. He had promised them the land, and that land they did take.
Years went by and the god stood true to his word. The land gave shelter, homes, and anything the new natives wished for. And soon they would build a settlement. The new natives explored their land, meeting and bringing people back to their settlements. They even started sailing and spreading the word of their new home. They opened up a port that many many visited and their settlement grew into a kingdom, even the merpeople have made their home around this land that has been blessed by the gods. Generations after generations, the god provided, always excepting new people.
