Personality: Ringo does not particularly express what is on his mind. He is usually antisocial- however whenever he speaks, his words usually strike others as particularly influential. If one were to come across Ringo, they might think that he is disapproving and dissatisfied with life. In actuality, Ringo is actually very thoughtful- taking the scenario into consideration and contemplating an immediate plan of attack. Sometimes the superiority within his time enhances his arrogance, so he can occasionally become hotheaded. This is rare and he usually corrects any reckless mistakes he might make. He is definitely protective of his sister and his Pokemon, and will not let any of them touch other members within Team Void. Within, Ringo holds somewhat of a burning inner grudge- a desire to see his father's idea of Team Void overthrown. This grudge is so suppressed and subdued by his passion to become the best Pokemon Trainer that he ignores it often, and discards it for other priorities. He uses Team Void to his own advantage. Ringo overall is more of a "I do it my way because I can." type of person.

Strengths: Ringo has a well balanced team. He in particular concentrates on most Dark, Poison, Fire, and Ghost type Pokemon. He has trained his Pokemon to hold a few special moves variant from their core types. With this, his intention is to hold the advantage in almost every battle.
Weaknesses: Ringo personally has one ace card in his deck, which is ultimately weak to water. The others have a few particular weaknesses to Ice, however he has used a multitude of techniques to get his Pokemon resistant to their weaknesses.

History/Background:
〖Ringo was born to a family that demanded a lot from him. Taichi, Ringo's father, was exceedingly abusive to his son and would only accept complete perfection. He was very meticulous with what he considered appropriate around the home. The Maruyamas lived in a discreet Manor that was connected to multiple scientific laboratories embedded in the Sinnoh region. It was here that Ringo grew up and came to accept the idea that experiments being run on Pokemon was considered acceptable. For some time, Taichi Maruyama invested heavy amounts of cash to keep politicians and all law enforcement officials quiet about the experiments they were creating. Taichi spent the remainder of his years training Ringo to become the ideal figurehead of Team Void. Miyuki, Ringo's mother, was far too concerned with her own business affairs to truly recognize the trouble her son was in. When she was around, she acted entirely indifferent and uncaring.
〖Ringo received his first Pokemon when he was only ten. It was a Houndour, a faithful and loyal dog that loved Ringo dearly. This was the first sign Ringo had ever received of love. Only weeks after Ringo got Houndour, his father insisted that they have their first training session. Taichi originally gave Ringo Houndour on one condition: that he would be able to defeat his father in a simple training session. Naturally, this was a heavy burden on him. Ringo, being as young as he was, was to face his father that day. His father unleashed a Pokemon that he had never seen before. one that had been fused from multiple other Poison-type Pokemon that it was beyond recognition. The Pokemon seemed in pain from the multiple steroids and genetic alterations it had endured. Taichi ordered the Pokemon to attack. In but a matter of swift movements, the altered Pokemon had Ringo and Houndour subdued in a matter of seconds. In its rage, it did not understand basic morals any more, and proceeded to continue attacking Ringo. Taichi watched on as his son was being clawed alive, shaking his head disapprovingly. It was this moment that he deemed his son to be a failure. Taichi left the room shortly after, leaving his son on the floor for medical attention to help him. Ever since that day, Ringo has had to wear the eyepatch.
〖Ringo lived in fear of his father since that day, and swore to overcome this fear-driven grudge that had developed within him. When his sister, Terumi, had been born, Taichi poured forth all of his love and care into his daughter. Taichi named Terumi the "hope for the future of Void" in front of his son's face. Ringo was beyond furious. As he grew into his teens, Ringo trained multiple other Pokemon. He ran away from home and began to challenge Gym Leaders, gradually collecting badges until he was capable of facing the Elite Four. In but a matter of months, Ringo had managed to obtain the title of Champion of Sinnoh region.
〖Ringo received a letter that day. It gave him the news of his parents' mysterious deaths, and an invitation to accept his rightful role of Second-In-Command (Codename: Prince) to Team Void. With nothing left in his heart to drive him further, he returned back to his home. Wanting to separate from the house he grew up in, he abandoned the home and moved Team Void to an air base located just above the Unova Region. Ringo abandoned his title of Champion of the Sinnoh Region after only but a year (which was shortly adopted afterwards by Whinter). This was where Team Void would begin their Legendary Pokemon fusions. Knowing not the whereabouts of his sister, and having yet to find a suitable leader in place of his father, Ringo had assumed the temporary role of leader. Ringo does not understand the concept of joy, and only takes pride in his Pokemon- the six that he has come to know and love. Ringo is also exceedingly protective of his sister, so he attempts to prevent her from associating herself with the outside world. To this day, Ringo is driven by the passion to see the creation of the next generation of Pokemon, the ones Team Void were to create.
Collecting all Legendary Pokemon and turning them into region-destroying war machines was the goal of Team Void, and the goal Ringo never took the time to consider overthrowing.
