Appearance: Whinter is the personification of the season itself with not only her icy demeanor, but her fashion sense as well. The majority of her time, she dones a long-sleeved, icy lavender shirt under a hooded, silver-lined cyan vest with white fur on the edges. A studded platinum choker and belt—with the same colored studs and a pair of decorative suspenders—add ample repetition of the vest colors. White biker gloves—one with fingers, the other fingerless—hug her hands to keep her warm in the harsh winter weather she loves so dearly. Dark skinny jeans keep her fair skin warm alongside the white combat boots on her feet, bound crisscross around a pair of fuzzy socks. Her creamy orange hair, which shroud one of her foggy blue eyes, is neatly layered and organized in a way that lets it lean over her right shoulder, showing off her avalanche-like streaks at the ends. A pokerface usually lines her smooth, ivory lips, and her fair-skinned face is mostly kept at bay. Despite her chilling nature, Whinter is a trainer, a Champion, and a goddess to all her admirers.

Personality: An ice-cold soul with an even colder demeanor. Whinter's attitude towards everything and everyone is cool and collected, though tends to be a bit frigid on the side. If there's anything out of place in her life, she'll get right to fixing it without haste or a single smile of satisfaction. In fact, it is rare to see a smile on her face, though she does give off a tomboy-ish, competitive aura, despite her cold nature. If anything should tick her off, it would be wise for everyone to run for the hills. She goes from permafrost to white-hot inferno, so it would be best to leave her and her friends alone.

History/Background: Humble as it is, Whinter was born half-blind to a poor family in the Sinnoh Region. Her parents both abandoned her shortly after she was born, and she was found soon enough by a sweet elderly couple, whom she now refers to as her grandparents—Isshin and Masaki—two wealthy entrepreneurs with jolly attitudes and a love for everything in life. They did quite a bit of paperwork, but before long, the baby girl was welcomed with warm arms to the Kousetsu Manor (more of a small castle) just outside of Sunyshore City. From the moment they laid eyes on her, they knew she would grow up to be an amazing Pokémon trainer. She grew up the way most children did, with someone to look after them and nurture them though their early years. When Whinter turned five, she received her first Pokémon—Turtwig—when she could finally walk without her blindness causing her to stumble or trip. Whinter and Turtwig were the best of friends their whole lives, as they trained together every chance they could get. Eventually, the Turtwig evolved to Grotle, then Torterra when she was just eight. It wasn't their knowledge of the battle that gave them great power, but the bond and friendship they were chained to from day one. Then again, Torterra's natural instinct to protect his small little trainer played a big part, too; he was practically a full-time bodyguard, and became her seeing-eye partner in no time at all.
After Whinter turned eleven, her grandparents decided it was time she venture out into the unknown world and begin her grand quest. Those she came across were ready to challenge her at a single glance, and she defeated them one by one without fail. How she managed to engage in battle so easily without part of her vision was astounding, yet inspiring. Some say she had the ability to see the auras of both humans and Pokémon, while others suspect the blind disability was all just an act. However, she proved them all wrong with her team's insane skills in her encounters against Team Galactic while they were still in business. Along the way, multiple other Pokemon joined the party, and they excelled as a team together, despite some rebellious nature among certain members. The very ice cold personality she held and her uncanny, darker-than-dark battling skills granted her a nickname she never expected to receive—The Dark Snowstorm. Some say she received this name due to her scary demeanor, while others claim she had unspeakable battling tactics. Both of which are very true. She trained one of her top Pokemon to wield a katana.
At the age of thirteen, she managed to surpass eight gym leaders and earn her badges, moving on to conquer the Elite Four. The Champion battle, however, was a totally different story. Upon her arrival, the referee told her and a newly made friend—Barry Tyson—that the previous victor had packed up their bags and ditched the Sinnoh Region. Reasons were of little importance, when Whinter won her grudgingly long and excruciating battle against Barry. After her stunning victory, Whinter maintained her title to this day, continuously challenged by trainers with dreams of some day defeating her.
At fifteen, it was then that she met Dawn, and the two sparked an instant connection, despite how competitive and unappealing they were to each other at first. In the battle that followed, nobody in history had ever come so close to beating Whinter, when it ended in a draw. Many laughs were shared, and a friendship blossomed. To this day, Dawn and Whinter travel around the world, exploring new places unknown to the icy princess. What awaits her will shock both her and the rest of the world.
