The man is always a gentleman with excellent bedside manners. He is a wealthy man who is hailed for his work as a philanthropist and seems to focus on helping orphaned Newmen children; especially those abandoned for their deformities. He has sponsored schools, libraries, and parks. Indeed there are many who would call him a saint and his critics find fault with his focus on Newmen claiming that he is involved in conspiracy plots of anti-Human nature. Viktor, in his good natured humor, brushes off the occasional reporter or protester who makes such bold claims as having too much time on their hands. He is a wonderful father who happens to be leading a double life. His logic may be difficult for others to follow, but he does have a highly organized sense of how he wants his world to be. He is normally a cautious man and almost obsessive when it comes to the little things. His kindness and good manners are genuine -- if he accidentally put you in the hospital he would pay your hospital bill -- but if he had to kill you with an ice pick the man would without hesitation. Viktor does not want to exterminate all Humans, just those that oppose New Human rule. He is very results orientated and that shows through with the choices he makes. Only once has his anger prevailed over his cool head. His only trigger seems to be when someone dares to mess with what is "his" (i.e. his family).
Bio:
Viktor was born in 1987 in Moscow, Russia during the time of the USSR. Just before the fall of the USSR his parents defected and the family ended up in New York City. Viktor is the second eldest child. His two younger siblings, Elizabeth and Tobias, are New Humans just like him and all three have different abilities. Viktor's powers developed over the course of two decades. It was a family affair keeping three New Human children in check and in school, but they managed it. He married his high school sweetheart Jessica Richardson right out of high school. They were happily married until the birth of their first and only child Alexander. Alexander was born with a normal appearance only to physically change which was something Jessica couldn't accept. She packed her bags, left, and was never seen from again. After the investigation into her disappearance ended Viktor took his son and moved to Boston to try and start anew. He worked as a mob doctor removing bullets for cash to put food on the table. Viktor has only ever spoken once with his mother Masha about the events in Boston; things got ugly and clean up was a mess. Boston is the reason Viktor ultimately ended up on the front step of his parents' house with his then eleven year old son. His family welcomed back their long lost son right into the renewed family business of high-end assassination work. His role became that of managing their assets and running several laundering schemes along his sister. Alexander ran away at the age of 18 after he and his father got into their biggest argument yet. Some time later he adopted his three youngest children Oliver, Joshua, and Penny. Viktor had never forgotten about his first son Alexander, but he never expected to really see him again. Then several years later his brother Tobias showed him a photo of his twenty-one year old son in India working as a hired muscle for a warlord. The warlord was their target, but it was arranged to bring Alexander back home whether he wanted to come or not. Tobias handled the case personally and he was the one to sponsor Alexander's recruitment into the family business as a field assassin. Viktor opposed his son's recruitment at first before finally consenting. He and Alex have spent the last four years working on repairing their rocky relationship.

Powers:
__Night vision: He sees in darkness quite well. This is generally a passive ability and one of two that work in complete absence of shadows.
__Heals in shadows: The darker the shadow the faster and the more he heals. Severity and time submerged in shadow are directly related. Using this ability in combat is impractical as it requires too much concentration to maintain a proper defense.
__Invisibility: The shadows cast must be dark enough for this to work which makes sneaking around a well lit research facility extremely difficult.
__Mind reading/Dreamwalking: This ability only works if the intended mark is sound sleep, but dreams can be felt (not delved into) even in total darkness. It allows Viktor to delve into a person's mind through their dreams to learn some of what they know. This can be damaging for both Viktor and the dreamer thus he sets a time limit of how long he can stay under without causing harm to himself. In a person's dream Viktor never looks like a Human but a long armed monster although he'll occasionally be remembered as wearing a suit. Medication, how deep the person is sleeping, how long they have been asleep, and mental health of the intended victim all factor into how successful the delve is. A strong willed person or someone having a violent dream have been known to stop Viktor from delving into their mind while asleep. Nightmares often serve as an unintentional mental footprint for his victims.
__Shadow Constructs: Physical constructs can be difficult to maintain. Viktor himself prefers more abstract shapes as opposed to creating a gun or sword. He's most likely to use this ability to create an extra arm to help him in the kitchen or to grab something off a high shelf.
Weaknesses:
__Sunlight: It burns, no literally it burns. Viktor is very sensitive to UV radiation. Not only is he prone to sunburn, but just being out in the sun too long will make him feel sick.
__Complete Darkness: Maybe a tad ironic but Viktor actually needs a light source for his powers to work. Lock him in a pitch black box and he's just as defenseless as any Human.
__Technologically Impaired: Try as he might he just has bad luck with fancy high tech gadgets whenever he uses his abilities extensively around them. Videos and audio recordings distort, digital photos often come out blurry. Candle light reflects his more grotesque form and Polaroid camera capture a good solid image of what he really looks like.
__Taxation: All but his night vision ability are physically and mentally taxing. Since the element of surprise is normally on his side his battles are often short. Another tactic he uses is to avoid ever fighting in direct sunlight.
Relevant Skills:
__Polygot: Speaks Russian, English, Chinese, French, Spanish, Arabic, German, Portuguese, Dutch fluently pending more languages.
__Mix Martial Arts: He's picked up enough to be quite decent between his dreamwalking and actually training.
__Tactful Businessman: His genuine likability makes Viktor he best candidate in the family to deal with their (legal) business affairs.
__Mr. Mom: Sure he has servants who could do that for him, but Viktor enjoys being around his children. Besides, three young New Humans with unstable powers is a recipe for disaster should he hire someone unskilled. Nothing scares off scary monsters quite like your father being the Boogyman.
Appearance Description/ Picture:
Viktor is unusually tall standing just shy of seven feet (6'11"). His face is long and gaunt with dark sunken eyes. His black hair is starting to grey at the temples and Viktor typically slicks his hair back. His arms are slightly longer than what is proportionally normal for his body. This only serves to make his wiry frame seem even thinner. His appearance is deceptive, Viktor has excellent reflexes and therefore quick on his feet. What muscle he has is toned, because you never know when someone might make the fatal mistake of messing with your family. Due to the nature of his occupation in finance and real estate he normally wears tailored suits complete with ties. His youngest child Penny makes him play dress up with him quite often so guests might find him wearing anything from a king's crown to a vampire's cape. Viktor always carries a pair of slim reading classes with him since his eyes have started to go.
