Jason tends to be a bit of an obnoxious douche. He'll laugh at the expense of others, beat on whoever he pleases, and basically just looks out for number one. Him. He's bitter towards the world for never caring, and thus has convinced himself that he doesn't care about the world, either; while he doesn't actively seek revenge against the world, he certainly won't lift a finger to help anyone but himself. And now that he finds himself so much more capable, he'll be lifting a lot more than fingers to help himself, if you know what I mean.

Bio:
Jason Reyes was born into an impoverished family living in the projects of New York. He's lived his whole life poor, going hungry plenty of nights. Never once did the world even glance at him in sympathy, or even pity. He grew resentful of the rich people he saw, in their fancy suits, walking into their fancy buildings, while he rotted away in his dingy little one bedroom apartment. When his father died in a gang fight, and they couldn't pay the rent, he and his mother were evicted; he was thirteen at the time, unable to get a legitimate job. They turned to the gang his father had been a part of, but were turned away; they had nowhere for them to stay. As they left, the one member who had overheard their needs offered his own place to them, as Jason's father had been a close friend. That man was the only person who'd ever shown any compassion to Jason besides his family, so when he too died in a gang fight, the world seemed that much colder.

It didn't help that winter was falling. Homeless and malnourished, Jason's mother took ill during that winter; Jason himself took to petty thievery and mugging as a way to get just enough money to eke out a harsh living on the streets. His mother died soon afterward, leaving Jason- now fifteen- alone in the world. It was only after he lost everything that he was given a gift; his powers developed at sixteen, after his habits of thievery and mugging had grown into more of a steady income than a pastime. He continued developing and practicing with his powers, becoming more and more capable as he did; soon he was able to step it up in the world of crime.

Property Absorption- Jason is able to absorb and confer upon himself the properties of whatever sort of matter he comes in contact with. He can 'turn to stone' after absorbing the properties of granite, for example, or similarly become a living embodiment of flame if he absorbs the properties of fire. He retains the properties as long as he chooses, and only needs to focus on it while changing properties; he can revert to normal at any time. As a development, perhaps later on, he may find that he can retain the properties as genetic memory rather than actual physical properties, allowing him to 'store' several 'default options' at once and switch between them without having to be in physical contact with the material.

Super Strength- In order to account for the possible increase of weight and/or density during a change in the properties of his own biomass, Jason has developed super strength which he retains at all times- he can lift approximately two metric tons before visibly having to exert effort; an estimated maximum is roughly twice that.

Relevant Skills:
Jason is skilled in MMA fighting, has razor-sharp reflexes (although not superhuman), has far-above average agility, and is quite skilled at parkour.

Appearance Description/ Picture:
Jason is 5'11" with a dark tan/ olive skin tone, and black hair. He almost appears to be of Hispanic descent, but will deny if asked; he'll say his recent ancestors are from Greece. His bright green eyes can serve as evidence to that. His actual weight can vary greatly depending on the properties he's currently using, but in his natural state of rest he weighs about 145 lbs.
