As the new hero on the block Novaflare has an almost obscenely picturesque "good girl" persona going on. All her life she has looked up to ordinary men and women who did their part to make the world a better place. She still secretly harbors suspicions about what good can a Numan do, but not doing her part to help seemed to much like a cop out.

As Dylan Okamoto, the average teenage girl, she loves a range of electronic music and being outdoors. She is surprisingly not into the opposite sex or any sex for that matter claiming that she has better things to do than chase boys. For Rika and Riku only being four months younger than her and knowing that she is obviously an adopted child Dylan gets along with her siblings and parents just fine. Dylan could also be called lively and friendly, but not flirtatious. With a big heart and innocent view of the world she strives to give back to her community. On the down side she is naïve, lacks the potential to think like a criminal, inexperienced at crime fighting, and in danger of being swayed by the right type of subtle persuasion.

Bio:
Dylan was adopted only two months after she was born by her mother's best friends Yasuo and Tinesha Okamoto who already had a four year old daughter and twins on the way. She was always told that her mother, Maria Jane Tronskiene, had died in a fire, and never that she had once been a masked avenger who fought to save lives. Yasuo and Tinesha failed to mention their own history as costumed vigilantes. What actually informed Dylan of her mother's altergo was the seemingly normal silver bracelet that had been left to her from her mother. Her own powers did not start to develop until she hit puberty, however, she was lucky enough not to grow a third eye or other obvious mutation. The bracelet stored a message from her mother that carried a warning; it put few questions to rest and raised more than Dylan could ever hope to find answers to. Dylan activated the vambrace aspect of the bracelet taking an ill-thought through joy flight over the city at night. Afterwards she hid the bracelet in her dresser for years and attempted to forget about it. Ten months before her eighteenth birthday while cleaning her room she found the bracelet again. It seemed harmless enough to wear the bracelet around. Of course luck would have it that later that week Dylan would stop a mugging by using her powers. The couple weren't exactly grateful, but Dylan thought it was better they be spooked by a Newman than turn up missing on the evening news. Since then she had started to use her powers more and more while avoiding getting on anyone's radar list. The random moments of crime fighting has also made Dylan curious about what really happened to her mother and what else her parents were hiding from her. Her unofficial partner in crime fighting, and also the only one at present who knows her secret identity, is another masked vigilante named Walter Genovese, aka John Doe. The two met when both were trapped in the same bank hostage situation four months ago and have worked together on a few cases since.

Currently Dylan lives with her adopted parents and younger twin siblings Rika and Riku. Their eldest sibling, Bethany, lives on her own closer to the state university with her boyfriend.

Class: III
She has the power of a natural born Class III, but the experience of a Class V without the vambrace to stabilize her powers.

Powers:
__Saule's Vambrace: A mysterious device with two aspects: bracelet and vambrace. The bracelet aspect is the deactivated form and appears as a silver band with swirling insignia like engravings and the inscription "To Saule with Love" on the inside of the band. The vambrace aspect is the fully activated form measuring roughly five inches in length with an inlaid stylized sun motif on it. The inlaid metal takes on the same spectrum colors as Novaflare's hair and skin. The vambrace acts as a power stabilizer which means while it can boost power when charged, it also holds back Novaflare's power to keep levels even. The device is believed to evolve as Novaflare's powers grow. The Vambrace also has a function to "spawn" Novaflare's uniform upon activation. (Dylan is not yet completely aware of the extent of power the vambrace has.)
__Sunlight: Dylan draws her powers for Novaflare from a form of psionics that is based on the manipulation of solar radiation. (Dylan is not yet completely aware of the extent of the dependency on sunlight.)
__Flight: While she has yet to try to see how fast she can go during the day, especially with plenty of sunlight, it is possible to achieve up to mach 4. This is perhaps the most energy consuming power available to her as the cost to sustain greatly increases after 100 mph. It would be ill advised to attempt max speed during the night for longer than a few minutes.
__ Sun Bolts: Small to medium sized "bolts" of energy able to be projected from Novaflare's hands. They can do damage ranging from a non-damaging concussive blasts to dealing enough heat damage to burn through metal.
__Forcefields: The second biggest energy consuming power available to Novaflare. In theory a flight field forms automatically around Novaflare when she flies. It is not enough to deflect powerful attacks as it is meant to protect Novaflare from the effects of high speed flight. The energy draw of these flight shields is automatically factored into the cost for flying. Defensive fields are formed to block attacks. The more punishment the field takes the more energy required to maintain it and the more it drains Novaflare's mental strength.

Weaknesses:
__Darkness: Dylan's health and super powers rely on the amount of direct sunlight she takes in. At night her power levels do not automatically recharge. Sunlight has become more vital to her overall health since the development of her powers and will increase in importance as her powers increase. Three days without at least one hour of sun will result in flu-like symptoms including severe cold sweats. She will become progressively weaker as time without direct sunlight increases. (Dylan is not yet completely aware of the extent of the dependency on sunlight.)
__Willpower: While solar based her powers are also psionic. Distractions, diseases, and mental attacks take a strain on her mental well being. Too much internal confliction and her powers levels suffer something no amount of sunlight can compensate for.
__Lack of experience: This is an understated but major weakness as Dylan does not yet know what she is fully capable of. Over time her abilities will naturally grow and strengthen, but for now she is just a young girl trying to do some good in the world.

Relevant Skills:
Dylan is a decent cook, and she is CPR certified, but other than that she is a normal teenage girl. Her physical fighting skills are sub-par, something her friend John Doe (Walter Genovese) hopes to change.

Appearance Description/ Picture:
Dylan Okamoto (using her powers) is a fair skinned, petite, young woman who stands at only 5'2" tall. She maintains a healthy weight and stays active. Her sky blue eyes rarely show hatred for anything and usually show cheerfulness. As Novaflare she wears a white bodysuit with a mandarin style collar, sleeves that a quarter of the way down her arms, and shorts that are mid thigh length. It is made of an unknown material that is able to take on the "afterglow" of Novaflare's skin when she shines at her brightest so that only the teal colored "starburst" design across the chest is visible. Her outfit also includes fingerless gloves with the right glove being longer than her left; it reaches to her elbow and the vambrace sits on top of it. For footwear Novaflare has knee high boots. A half mask which covers from the cheekbones down is worn to protect her identity. The mask, gloves, and boots are made of the same material the bodysuit is taking on the colors in an identical way. The first to glow is Novaflare's hair shining in the colors of the visible light spectrum with a constant "fluid" property to the colors. Next is her skin and eyes when she is drawing more heavily from her powers. The faster Novaflare flies, the longer her light trail is. It should also be noted that during times when large amounts of power are being drawn it can become uncomfortable, borderline dangerous, to be in close proximity to her due to the heat produced by the afterglow.
