These are other groups that hold significant power in the world, though not part of the government. Some have important functions, and are asked for their help by the government, others simply have a large say in public happenings.
Just like the government entries, some of these will have their own threads to explain how they work in more detail

Media Works: The media works is a large network of specific distribution centers. They are in charge of distributing media throughout the world on a clear and precise schedule. This includes, amongst other things: Fantasy programs, Music, Live Action programs, News, Educational programs, and many more. They also keep an eye on the web, making sure nothing illegal is made. They are charged by the government with a few things, namely the truthful distribution of news and watching for illegal sites, but other than that they are left mostly to their own devices as what to display.
They do hold a decent amount of power in the world, despite their lack of any official government position. After all, they have the ability to shift public view ever so slightly over a period of time, most people don't even realize it. Luckily, this is not done very often, as the Media works are a network, not a totalitarian organization.
The media offered has literally hundreds of channels, conveniently searchable for what citizens are looking for. The Media Works mainly have to make sure that there are at least a couple of channels on most subjects.

FURD, Future Research and Development: Also simply referred to as the Science department, this large group researches new findings and how they may be utilized. Their bases of operation are spread throughout the world, but each one specializes in a different study. If you want to study in a particular subject you must travel to the desired location.
