Fancy is an ambitious and intelligent rat with a vicious attitude. She lies to others even more frequently then she lies to herself and she has a very self-serving attitude about the world.
When she was young and in the store she was often doted upon with many loving hands for her lovely fur. There were many other rats in her cage, but it was the golden fur that made her stand out. Because she was so revered by the Great Ones other rats began doting on her as well, giving her a selfish and demanding way about her. She became like a princess to her cage mates. Eventually she got moved to a cage of males for breeding where she became the center of their entire universe.... But none of them ever bed her before the Great Water came and so she has no pups.
After the Great Water came and went she found herself in a spot with access to food and shelter... But what she really craved was her rightful place as the center of the rat universe. And if the Great Ones were gone it only makes sense in Fancy's mind that they should have left her in charge, as their favored rat.

Fancy's goal is to take advantage of this. She wants to have a cage (or now a colony) of her own again... Where she can be favored. As such she is very firmly attempting a path to lead other rats in believing that her golden coat makes her worthy of ruling and that other rats are inferior. When she is done she intends to come out on top of her own rat colony of golden rats ruling over other rats and her ownself ruling over all of them.
