Hello all of my Crafty Craftersons!
Wow, I was so swamped this past month with school, being ill, dealing with trying to get a loan for a new car, catching up on homework from missing school due to the accident, mid-terms, college transfer apps, Ren Faire, etc... the list could continue... that I feel like I'm blowing it as a captain however, I am still willing to give it a try. I expect that this month will be busy as well for me because Ren Faire doesn't end until the middle of the month and that really does take up quite a bit of my time each Fall.
And with that being said, I would LOVE to have some Crew members to help with some of the finer details of guild life. For a general description of what I am looking for in a Crew member, there is a post on the main forum entitled, “Join the Crew!” If you are interested, please PM me.

What to expect for October:
Last month I did not set up a contest like I had wanted to. However, I am going to be posting a contest that will run the month of October. It will be a costume contest which is already underway so, click here if you want to know all the details!
Monthlies will be posted soon after this announcement. I will also be omitting the monthlies that lack replies. Nothing like a little clean up action, eh?

For those of you that don't know, there is a group on Facebook that I started a while back for La Légion and I was thinking of starting a Google group or blog and expanding the forums through other venues.
I was also thinking of making this an "official" guild, with membership cards, etc because Jo-Ann stores offer 10% discounts to members of guilds if they meet certain criteria.

1st, is there anyone who would like to be invited into the FB group? The group is a closed group and can be found here:

Mostly we post links to cool craft articles/ideas and share with each other. I know that, from my end I can only invite people from my friend list but I'm not sure if there is a request to join option for those outside of the group. If not, and you want in, please drop a link to your FB page and I will add you to my FList/Group. If you want removed from my FList after entering the group, that is perfectly fine by me. I totally understand and respect peoples privacy and won't be offended if you delete me.

Also, I will be posting a poll to see what people think about the idea of making an official guild, possible local chapters for meet ups, etc. I'd like to get your guys take on this. Also, if I was to open an official guild, anyone who is on here can be grandfathered in if they so desire. I have not hashed out all the details but as they come, I will be forthright in letting you all know. smile
