Unfortunately the costume contest has been cancelled due to a lack of participants. Perhaps we can do another one off season, or if we get enough replies we can re-open it and change the dates. sad

What better way to kick off the Halloween month than with a costume contest! Don't worry, you don't have to take a picture of yourself in a costume however, your avatar will be decked to the nines!

How to Join the Contest

Starting from today, October 3rd and running until Monday, October 10th (9 PM PST) we will be taking recruits for this contest. To join this contest just reply to this thread stating that you are interested in being a part of this contest. This gives 1 week for people to join. When the week is up, I will PM those individuals (rather than sending a group announcement) to prompt them for the 2nd round of the contest.
In order for this to be a contest, I would like to have at least 3 entrants by the deadline... otherwise I will cancel the contest.


How to Win

From Monday, October 10th (9 PM PST) through Monday, October 17th (9 PM PST), those who are officially in the contest will be getting a PM from me to prompt on the next step: The actual costume.
You will be dressing up your avatar for Halloween and giving a description of who the character is and why you chose that costume. Be creative!
It doesn't matter when, within that week, you put on your costume however, I would like you to be wearing the costume on Monday the 17th at the close of this segment so that I can screen cap them and post them all in the body of this thread (this means that the costume will be put together with items in your inventory, not a tektek.)
For the description, just edit your entry reply here with the information. Feel free to use image references as well as a comparison.


Voting

From Monday, October 17th (9 PM PST) through Monday, October 24th (9 PM PST) there will be a poll opened up for voting. If I had the option, I would allow for 2 votes/per member to balance out the self-voting but, that isn't an option within the polls (that I know of.) So, I will be sending out a reminder announcement to ALL members to come in and vote in the hopes that the people who aren't participating in the contest will help balance it out and create a winner.
