Determining the rank of new characters is a difficult process and there are a number of outside things that may influence this process. A general explanation of these rules can be found in the Character Profile Subforum.

General Rule of Thumb

In general, the following is true. You may only build characters who are a rank below the rank of your current highest character's rank. For example, use the following sentence and list as a guide:

If your highest ranked character is ___ you may create ____.

  • Unranked or Academy Student rank : No new characters
  • Gennin rank : Unranked or Academy Student characters
  • Chuunin Rank : Unranked, Academy Student or Gennin characters
  • Jounin Rank : Unranked, Academy Student, Gennin or Chuunin characters

Remade Old Characters

Because our community has existed for a long time, those characters lost in the reset may be remade within two months of joining the guild. The following rule differs from the General Rule of Thumb stated previously.

Difference

  • Remade characters do not count as the highest character's rank in the General Rule of Thumb unless they have been raised to a higher rank after they are remade.

Cannon Characters

Because we are a Naruto inspired role play there are a small number of cannon characters that exist in our community alongside the original characters. The following rules differs from the Character Creation and General Rule of Thumb stated previously.

Difference

  • Cannon characters do not count as the highest character's rank in the General Rule of Thumb unless they have been raised to a higher rank after they are claimed.
  • Applications for Cannon Characters must be done in the Cannon Character thread.

Village or Organization Leader Limits

Because Village and Organization leaders are responsible for maintaining their village or organization, the following rule has been implemented to keep their focus appropriately.

Difference

  • 50% of all characters controlled by a Village Leader or Organization Leader must reside within the village or organization that the Village Leader or Organization Leader controls.
