Personality:
Nao is an optimistic girl, one who only sees the positive in every event. Empathetic, perhaps to a fault, Nao often feels that she knows exactly the pain that each person is going through. She is kind and compassionate, sometimes to the point of getting too involved in the lives of people she barely knows. While being kind is an excellent trait for a ninja to have, many of her colleagues worry she will not be able to separate her peaceful nature from the harsh battles a kunoichi must face. Her superiors, however, realize that she is extremely capable of handling herself. She wished to become a ninja with the intentions to save lives, and she takes losing a life extremely hard on herself.
She is also a very determined, studious girl, constantly burying his nose in medical books or even the occasional fictional story. While enrolled in the Academy, her grades are well above average, especially in chakra control. There really has yet to be a subject or course she couldn’t handle. However, that does not mean she has eidetic memory, she works and studies hard and earns her grades. Give her a textbook, a few days, and a pot of coffee and she’ll be able to tell you what she just read and then some.

Biography:
Nao’s father died when she was very young, so she was raised by her mother who ran the local grocery. Nao began to show her father’s kekkai genkai at an early age, and her mother, not being a ninja herself, did not know how to properly teach her how to control her abilities. Not knowing where else to turn, she reluctantly placed Nao in the Academy. Though she didn’t want her to become a ninja, Nao was beginning to come down with hypothermia, and therefore was a danger to herself and others.
While she learned the basics rather simply, Nao had difficulties adjusting to being the absolute youngest in the class. Children and teachers did not know how to teach or relate to the five-year old, so she stayed behind in school for five years until she turned 10. It was then that she finally began to grasp the intricacies of ninjutsu and became an official genin. Through her team, she gained much knowledge and control over her abilities, and eventually became the first person of her class to complete the chuunin exams at age 15.
Still not fully understanding the extent of her powers, Nao found a letter from her father to seek out a man that he was friends with before he died. The letter said that he would be able to assist her in her growth as a ninja. That man was the legendary Sannin Mikazuki Bishamon. After pleading with him to become his disciple, he finally agreed and she has been under his tutelage ever since.
