Children of the Sage
Among the Children of the Sage, the Uchiha and the Senju are renowned as the strongest inheritors of the Sage's blood. All in all the Children of the Sage can be viewed as "one clan" because they collectively trace their lineage back to the Rikudo Sennin -- and therefore the Rinnegan -- a factor that is further cemented as these clans are among the few whom are capable of learning the Yin Release or Yang Release techniques developed by the Senju. The Children of the Sage also share many other common traits, be it in physical appearance found here and there among the different clans or even in their shared trait of remarkably long lifespans.
The Children of the Sage branches into two types of limits which also appears to confirm the legendary existence of the Sennin's two sons: the doujutsu-based limits whom inherited the eyes of the forefather through the Elder brother and the children whom gave rise to the Elemental Creation lines whom inherited the sage body of the forefather through the Younger brother.
Inheritors of the Sage Eyes (Doujutsu Type Limits)
Uchiha Cousin to the Senju and the most infamous of the Elder Child of Rikudo's descendants due to their long-time bitter rivalry with the Senju, the children of the ancient Uchiha warlords today have conceded to honor Konohagakure only if they shared the same political power as their long-time nemesis. Today, the Uchiha are still well-respected universally for their powerful eye techniques: their ability to replicate Jutsu and their unparalleled Genjutsu.
Hyuuga Wielders of the Byakugan, a doujutsu which gives them 360 degree vision and the ability to see chakra. They fight using the Jyuuken technique: a chakra-based Taijutsu style focused on gradually shutting down on their opponent's chakra system.
Inheritors of the Sage body ("Sixth" Affinity Type Limits)
Senju The imperial family of Konoha and perhaps the most famous of the descendants of the Sage. They trace their lineage back to the Younger Child of Rikudo. As today Senju whom are gifted with Mokouton (Wood Release) are still quite rare, the clan had instead focused on uncovering the secrets behind the Yin and Yang Arts and devoted themselves to teaching other descendants of the Rikudo Sage.
Fubuki Primarily known for their Hyouton (Ice Release), the Fubuki are also perhaps the strangest of the extant lineages tracing back to the Rikudo Sage. They exhibit several curious factors not found in their cousin Elemental Creation clans: such as absolute kekkai genkai inheritance and the physiology to actually carry Hyou-based chakra. Therefore instead of Elemental Creation they use a method they call Elemental Decomposition to be able to perform Suiton in the reverse. Furthermore, the factor that the Fubuki carries a rudimental doujutsu also seems to insinuate a connection to the descendants of the Elder Child of Rikudo.
Kou One of few known extant Elemental Creation lineages, the Kou are among the cousins of the Senju whom trace their lineage back to the Younger child of Rikudo. Because the clansmen blessed with the ability to use Shakuton (Scorch Release) are exceedingly rare, with Kou Lily being the first since six generations, the Kou had focused on their unique ability to manipulate the forms of energy to freely utilize fire-styled Taijutsu and have also created a powerful combination Ninjutsu style that they call Combustion Release.
Sandaa One of few known extant Elemental Creation lineages, the Sandaa are among the cousins of the Senju whom trace their lineage back to the Younger child of Rikudo. The clansmen blessed with the ability to use Vibration Release are exceedingly rare, with the current Raikage being the first known Kyomei user since several hundred years.
Tetsuru One of few known extant Elemental Creation lineages, the Tetsuru are among the cousins of the Senju whom trace their lineage back to the Younger child of Rikudo. The clansmen blessed with the ability to use Jiton (Magnet Release) are exceedingly rare. But members of the Tetsuru whom inherited Jiton are also interesting because while their Elemental Creation cousin lineages demand a specific order of elemental affinity inheritance, the Tetsuru however do not, and so two types of Jiton exist.
Leaf (Konohagakure no sato)
Anzan Fierce warrior hunters exiled from The Land of Serpents. These savages are known for using bestial techniques, the "Zenith Arts", to perform in combat to defend allies and attack enemies.
Estoqueur With roots beyond current written history, this clan of Genjutsu masters enfeeble and enhance their targets with special tactics that more often harm than help.
Hyuuga Wielders of the Byakugan, a doujutsu which gives them 360 degree vision and the ability to see chakra. They fight using the Jyuuken technique: a chakra-based Taijutsu style focused on gradually shutting down on their opponent's chakra system.
Inuzuka This clan is known for its ties to the canine species and physically possess very sharp senses of smell and hearing. Many members have a canine familiar who acts as a partner to the clan member. Clan members can also use certain Hijutsu to take on canine-like abilities.
Kenkomishi Born from an unfortunate genetic ability to hear even the highest sound frequencies and remember them, this clan of former spies use their abnormal hearing ability to interpret, record, and recall information. This ability has earned them the nickname "Human Tape Recorders".
Nara Manipulators of shadows. Though this clan do not formally serve on the Medical Order of Konoha, they possess a valuable compilation that archived generations of herbal remedial knowledge. The Nara also forms one of the cornerstones of the famous Ino-Shika-Cho formation with the Yamanaka and Akimichi clans respectively.
Senju The imperial family of Konoha and perhaps the most famous of the descendants of the Sage. They trace their lineage back to the Younger Child of Rikudo.
