Sage prowled around the dge of the clearing, spying on her prey. one of the deer was now under a nearby tree. she climbed it and stratled a low branch in a second. she sat directly over the deer for a moment and then dropped onto its back. it started bucking and running so she quickly got a old of its head and swiftly and viciously twisted its neck. it made a loud snap and the deer fell to the ground. she shoved her knife in its temple and sprinted for the tree and up it, all before the buck could get to her. it tried to get her a few times but then decided it best to find the rest of its herd and sprinted into the woods, leaving behind the dead deer. Sage climbed down the tree and retrieved her kill. she wrapped her already bloodied cloth around its head so it wouldnt leave a trail and dragged it back to her home. she hung it in a tree a little ways away from the old run-down abandoned house she was currently living in and unwrapped its head. she brought the cloth into the house and dropped it into a pot of water that she put it after every hunt. Then grabbed the large knife she used to ready her meat.

Gabe was walking when all of a sudden he heard a loud snap. His head jurked to the left. What was that he thought to himself as he walked over past the trees. His shoes snapped a twig as he walked and a branch cut him on his left arm. Gabe stepped into a small crearing where there where no trees or animals. He walk around its borders. " Funny I thought I heard an Animal or something here." He said to himself. Then he spotted something on the ground in front of him. He sat down. The where acouple specks of blood on the ground. " Hm mabye a stag fight." He murmerd as he stood up and opened his bag. Gabe grabbed his sharp new dagger and walked of into the wood. " We haven't had Stag for a while."

Sage finished cuting and salting the deer and left it high on a branch to dry. she buried the entrails she didnt like to eat quite a ways away from her home. she decided to take a walk and maybe herd the deer back to the clearing for later. she walked in the general direction she thought they headed and found footprints she followed a ways.

Gabe walked by the ever greens and oak trees that consumed the forest. every once and a while he spotted a small inpritn in the dirt and was convinced he was heading the right way. " Well this seems to be taking a while he thought. Gabe kept walking while he searched in his pack for a small peace of bread. " Ouch." Said Gabe as he tripped one something. There was a small pile of dirt on the ground like something had been burried. Gabe thought for a moment and started to dig a bit. After about 10 second a odd looking pink thing was beginging to emarge from the dirt. " Eww a deer intestine." He said suprised. " This sure seems sivalised." He wispered to himself. He stood up and looked up. " Whaa?! Why is there meat hanging from a branch!? He shouted. He looked to his left and then his right. Thats when he saw a small corner of a wood cabin behind a large willow and some black berry bushes.

Sage looked back when she heard someone shout. "thats mine!" she whispered to herself and sprinted silently back to her home. she jumped up a tree and gazed down at a person. "dont touch it, its mine." she warned harshly

" WHAA!" Gabe jumped back as he heard a voice. " Who are you?" He asked to a girl up in the tree above him as he recovered from the suprise.

Sage let her body drop, but still clung to the branch so she was swinging by her hands. "who are you?" she countered. "and youd better tell me." she said hostily

" Im Gabe I'm from the town and I'm just looking for food." Said Gabe placing his hand over his knife hilt. This person looks hostile if they attack I'll be able to defend. He thought to himself Staring at the Girl like it was a staring contest. She was covered and dirt and some spots of blood where on her cloaths.

((but the most curious part of her was her eyes. They were bright magenta.
XD))
"Im Sage. And thats all your getting." she swung her legs up and landed neatly on the branch. she glared at the boy "put your knife down, even if you have it, you stand no chance against me if i decide to attack you." she then hopped to the branch with her meats and picked them each up individually, testing if she could put them inside. a few more hours... she thought.

" Okay, Thats fine." Said Gabe camly. " Well it was nice meeting you Sage. You know if you where nicer I would probubly invite you to town." He said Grinning at Sage and then he started walking in a direction but it wasn't to town it was to Sages house. I think this place was abandend. He thought to himself as he pushed the blackberry bushes out of his way.

Sage went to her house without touching the round and climbed through the small hole in the wall underneath the roof. "you know, its not very nice to enter someones house without invitation." she said tortly. "and i wouldnt go into your stupid town if you did invite me." she dropped to the ground, a good ten feet below her.

" Well then I geuss it's not nice to take over a abanded house without anyone knowing it to but sure I'll stay out here." Said Gabe standing out the door. He looked inside and saw that everything was rusted and old. " You really should go to some of your relatives. You look staved and this isn't that clean a place." He said pointing at the cob webs and mosdly things.

Sage sighed in annoyance "i dont have relatives, why else do you think im living here? do you know another, cleaner place i can live without being recorded by the capitol? if so, please tell me." she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "the peacekeepers are almost nice here, but if i was caught, i would still be sentenced to death, just for being alive."
