So, for those of you who didn't read the response I posted on the post-apocalyptic collaboration, this is a guild mule. It's another id I have for ayeka_aurora for 2 reasons: 1. I need to make sure that if I mess up the guild doesn't end up without a captain; 2. I messed up my zomg and it's the fastest way to make moneys for the guilds orfor my avi.

Anyway, on with hat I was here to post. I am looking for people who know a lot about zombies. This won't be a collaborative story and in fact I can't even divulge the details of the story to you. I do, however, require consultants in zombie knowledge, American and Canadian geography, (I may need American consultants to know a little about Alaska), what's been done in zombie movies, zombie survival, and medicine (human, animal and fictional).

If you're interested in helping let me know through a response to this thread or a pm to ayeka_aurora. This project is one of my most promising screenplays, and I am working on it with my boyfriend, a special effects and computer animation person. I'm hoping it will go far, but I need your help.

R u a girl or r u gay? Just wondering, but that was kinda off topic. I know about as much about zombies as anyone else and I know about american geography so... I'm game if you need some help.

Please don't type like that here again... I am a girl, but I am not completely heterosexual. I don't think it is relevant though. And alright, thank you. I will probably take you up on that offer, or at least post questions for anyone's opinions. Being Canadian, I don't know much about American geography.

Sorry if I offended you, I was just curious because one of your avatars was a girl and the other a boy. I won't type anything like that again. I'd love to help you

Oh! Thank goodness! You had me feeling all guilty for thinking I had offended you! I don't feel bad anymore. So what is this zombie story supposed to be about? (brains!)

Can zombies swim?

This is a highly debated question and I'd like some opinions. Swimming takes a lot of muscle co-ordination and most people don't think Zombies can manage. That being said some people think they can walk on the bottom of water almost infinitely because "they don't need oxygen" (though I'm not sure they don't need any). Others think they could float around until they find what they need. So, what do you think? Would you be safe from zombies if you were on a cruise ship? would it be different if the water was below freezing? On a similar note, can zombies freeze to death or do they only die from freezing if it leads to them starving?

I have never liked the idea of zombies, so my knowledge about this lore is really limited.

Still, I hope I can help out with this.

Can zombies swim? They would sink at first once their lungs weigh down with water. After, corpses always float on the water because the decaying tissue builds gas inside the chest and organs. That causes the bodies to float.

If the water is below freezing, I really don't know what would happen. I can only think of the movie, Titanic when Jack freezes to death and floats to the bottom.

Maybe this would help you out a little in your research as well, but I recall watching a documentary quite a while ago about basically, a zombie infestation on some pacific islands. Basically those infected were consumed with the desire to eat human flesh. Their speech was garbled and they walked around in a daze.

This was a true story and I wish I could remember where exactly this happened. Maybe the Philippines.

Anyway, scientists discovered many of these zombie-infected people had brains like swiss cheese. They could not understand it. But they think it was caused after eating crops that had been infected with a fungus which if my memory is recalling this correctly, is similar to LSD.

Hmm, that's interesting. The only real world zombie virus I had heart of was not transmittable and only affected cannibals. Because of something being wrong physically about cannibalism, if groups ate improperly prepared flesh a lot they ended up losing reasoning capacity and attacked humans for their flesh in rages.

I remember someone talking about that zombie attack on that island. I think the zombies would have to be on the bottom because when people die they sink, then float back up, then sink again. I think you would be safe on a cruise ship because the zombies would be on the bottom of the ocean. They could be all over down there with no way to climb up to unless they suddenly had the thought to climb on top of one another until they got to the ship... But zombies are pretty stupid so I don't know for sure if they could think of that.
