Rules+++++The following are some rules and tips regarding the spell books. They may be edited at any time, whether by me or other guild moderators.
• You are not allowed to perform these spells outside of classes. If you are caught using them, there will be consequences.
• Please do not post anything other than spells in the school spell books. If you have a question, please post them in
this forum to keep things organized. This includes any edits or modification requests you have but cannot do due to not being a moderator.
• Anyone can submit a spell. This will help keep the spell books up-to-date easier since there will be different people from different parts of the role play contributing. One person cannot be everywhere at once.
• Any moderator can edit spell submissions, rules, etc. if there is inconsistent or wrong information, or to help fill in the blanks.
• Just because spells are listed in here does not mean your character already knows them. That would be along the lines of God-Modding. And do not try any tricks like
Joe Smith looked at the school spell book and performed a super-hard spell even though he's a novice.• Some spells are learned via class. If you were not at class, then sorry, your character didn't learn the spell. However, there are other classmates plus the Library. There should be a way for your character to catch up on missed lessons by tutoring with friends.
• Sometimes it might be beneficial to have your character not know
all of the spells from his/her school. Look at video games. When you level a character's stats, you have the choice of leveling everything at an OK level, or to specialize by maxing only a few stats. Specializing gives some uniqueness to your character since he/she is more proficient in a certain spell than someone else.
• Do not just make up spells to fill in the spell book. Only submit those encountered in the role play.
• When submitting a spell encountered during role play, please submit it to its proper school category using the form in the next post. If you simply have no clue which school a spell belongs to, post it in the Misc. forum until its category is determined. Also, if the spell was mentioned but unperformed, still list it in the spell book but make sure to mention that it has not been performed yet.
